Journal Out

COGwriter

Even though it is now April 2009, the latest issue (January – March 2009) of The Journal just came out.

It has an interesting article related to the cause of death of the late Raymond McNair (see GCG news page for details).  It has other articles about David Antion (COGSC), Pam Dewey (Oasis), Sheila Graham (accepted the WCG changes), and Ron Dart (CEM).

It also has articles from regular contributors.  There was also an odd article by someone I used to know who has decided that one does not need to observe The Night to be Observed. I, obviously, disagree.

Another death, of one I did not know, was also in this issue:

Mark Robinson dies
PLANO, Texas—Mark Robinson, a former elder and pastor of the Worldwide Church of God, died Feb. 1, 2009, in a Dallas
hospital of heart failure.

Mr. Robinson, 58, earned his master’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Robinson, and son, Alexander Robinson, both of Plano; a brother, Robert Robinson of Bullard, Texas; and two sisters, Felicity Reedy of Tyler, Texas, and Mary Robinson of Austin.
