About two weeks ago I reported about locusts in NSW, Australia and grasshoppers in the western USA (see Locusts in Australia, Grasshoppers in USA). Now Queensland is having a major infestation:

There is also a problem with bats dying on the East Coast of the USA. This will likely lead to increased insect populations.

Increases in insect populations tend to result in less food being available to humans:

According to Jesus, food shortages are expected:

6 See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-8)

We may be very near that time. But the end (meaning the Great Tribulation) is not yet.

The Great Tribulation is coming, but not for a few years. But many difficulties, including famines (Matthew 24:7) and persecutions (Matthew 24:9-20) are expected BEFORE the Great Tribulation begins (Matthew 24:21).
