Pentagon defends Obama’s plan for leaner military

USA TODAY – ‎5 January 2012 WASHINGTON – Top Pentagon officials stressed Thursday that even the shrinking military they envision under President Obama’s new strategy will be strong enough to take on all comers, a view not shared by some leaders on Capitol Hill.

The Pentagon can pretend that this is okay, but the trend is to reduce the strength of the US military. Agreeing to it and pretending that it will not matter is not wise for the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39).
