I called this a semi-deal because there still is not a real deal, but it is likely that something similar to the above will be agreed to.

WASHINGTON — House Republicans intend to pass their own plan to reopen government and avert an impending Thursday default deadline instead of waiting for Senate leaders who are nearing agreement on a competing budget offer.

House Republicans are dissatisfied with the contours of the Senate plan because it does not go far enough to rein in President Obama’s health care law. The government shutdown, now in its 15th day, began when House Republicans refused to advance a stopgap funding bill unless it included provisions to delay or defund the Affordable Care Act.

Neither proposed ‘deal’ resembles sound economic policy.  Sound economic policy would be to try to encourage greater production of goods and services that will benefit others, while paying down debt, and encouraging citizens to practice biblical morality.

However, many in Washington, D.C. do not seem to be able to see this. Instead debt increases are what the plan actually is.  That will end in disaster.

The Bible warns:

12…Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you…47 “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. 51 And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. 52 They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you (Deuteronomy 28:42-45,47-52)

Now, I do not believe that the USA will be destroyed this year in fulfillment of the prophecies of Deuteronomy 28:47-52.  Actually, I do not believe that it can happen until after the end of the second Obama term (see also the video The Great Tribulation Will Not Begin Before 2017).

But what the USA is doing does have major ramifications.  More and more creditors are attempting to figure out how to decouple themselves from their dependance upon the USA dollar.  International confederations such as the European Union and the Eurasian Union, as well as some of the Gulf States and China (and others) are actively attempting to decrease the world’s dependance on the USA dollar for international trade.  When the USA dollar loses its dominance in international trade, that too will be inflationary (the price of many goods would likely go up substantially).  This will end in disaster (Habakkuk 2:6-8; Daniel 11:39).

The USA keeps playing this dangerous game.  The politicians are not really fixing the problem, but are in essence agreeing to more and more debt.  This is not good.

The Debt Crisis Will Be Worse Than Most Imagine What are the ramifications of the various debt crisis issues facing the United States of America. What does the Bible warn about related to an end-time power that is greatly in debt? What does the Bible reveal that most news commentators do not? How will the debt crisis really end?

Thus far, the USA has continued to not truly solve its debt problems like I declared then.  And it still does not look like its political system will resolve it now.  The reality is that it will not because most of the politicians are no longer capable of even realizing carnal solutions to the problem.

Notice also the following scripture:

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)
