A news reporter wonders if he is seeing signs of Antichrist:

The UN wants a new global currency. Is this a sign of the Antichrist?

If I was a fundamentalist Christian (which I’m not) I’d be asking myself: is it just me, or are we living in a time of unusual prophetic fulfilment?

1. The US has elected a President before whom all nations bow down (or at least they do according to his grovelling sycophants in the American media and the BBC). A man of great oratorial skills yet possessing a smoothly anonymous personality…

2. Technology now allows the state to monitor every inch of our neighbourhoods AND our bodies, without us even being aware of the fact…

3. The United Nations wants a new global currency to replace the dollar, as the Telegraph reports today.

As regular readers of the COGwriter page are aware, there are many events lining up for the end. And in the end, the final Antichrist will be revealed.

However, relatively few realize that the USA and UK are prophesied to fall at the same time that the final Antichrist is rising up. The fact that many nations, and now the UN, are concerned that the US dollar should no longer lead international trade is no surprise. However, since the final Antichrist is a religious, not a military leader (see Some Doctrines of Antichrist), it should be pointed out that Barack Obama is not the final Antichrist (but he seems to be prophetic, for details see Prophecies of Barack Obama?).

Biblical and Catholic prophecies indicate that the final Antichrist will be a type of “antipope”.

There is though, a political-military leader that will rise up according to biblical prophecy. He is called “the beast” as well as the “King of the North” in the Bible. And he will use economic blackmail, technology, persecution, lying wonders, and other means to maintain his power. He and the Antichrist will reign. And this is likely to begin some time in the next decade.
