The move towards ‘designer babies’ continues as the government of the United Kingdom has decided that it is fine to have DNA from more than two parents:
LONDON – Britain’s Newcastle University says its scientists have received a license to create babies using DNA from three people, the first time such approval has been granted.
The license was granted by the country’s fertility regulator on Thursday, according to the university. …

Scientists really do not know what they are unleashing when they do this. But they do not wish to be responsible for the monsters they may create.
And it is not just multiple human parenting DNA that scientists want to mess around with. They also have been mixing animals with humans.

In 2010 Hiromitsu Nakauchi of Stanford University School of Medicine and his colleagues created a rat pancreas in a mouse body using a similar technique. Pigs are currently the preferred host, as they are anatomically remarkably similar to humans.If it succeeds, the strategy would solve many of the problems with organ donation today.

John Evans, a sociologist at the University of California San Diego, US, points out that the very discussion of human-animal chimera focusses on their cognitive capacities.

In what’s being hailed a scientific “tour de force,” American researchers have succeeded in creating human-pig chimera embryos with the ultimate goal of one day growing human organs in animals for transplant.
So far, none of the interspecies embryos have been allowed to grow beyond four weeks. However, the experiments are raising profoundly sticky moral and ethical issues — including the remote but not impossible risk human cells intended to morph into a new liver, pancreas or heart could wend their way up to the animal’s brain. Could that part-human chimera somehow develop human consciousness?
The more human-like we make living organisms the more valuable for research purposes they become, says Timothy Caulfield, Canada Research Chair in health law and policy. “But of course the more we humanize an animal, the more we raise questions about animal ethics,” he said. …
Next, 41 surrogate sows received between 30 to 50 of the hybrid human-pig embryos each, resulting in 18 pregnancies. After 21 to 28 days, 186 embryos were harvested.
Half of them were abnormally small. However, a few dozen were normal size, said co-author and Salk scientist Jun Wu in an interview. “And in some of them, we observed human cells were there.”

Human-pig ‘chimera embryos’ detailed
Embryos that are less than 0.001% human – and the rest pig – have been made and analysed by scientists.
It is the first proof chimeras – named after the mythical lion-goat-serpent monster – can be made by combining material from humans and animals. …
The process appears very inefficient – of the 2,075 embryos implanted only 186 continued to develop up to the 28-day stage.
But crucially there were signs that human cells were functioning – albeit as a tiny fraction of the total tissue – as part of a human-pig chimera.
“This is the first time that human cells are seen growing inside a large animal,” Prof Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte, from the Salk Institute, told the BBC News website. …
Salk researchers argue that making chimeras with more human tissue could be useful for:
- screening drugs before human trials
- studying the onset of human diseases
- understanding the earliest stages of human embryo development.

Maybe his 1,997 members in Africa might find his sermon slightly interesting due to the fact so many are still steeped in tribal myths and legends, but no Christian today has this topic occupying their mind.
So, I am insulted, called names, and challenged for warning against the possible production of human-pig chimeras, and told no Christian would care about this horrible thing.
Yet, even people of the world see that there are ethical and moral issues involved.
Are Christian leaders supposed to keep quiet about the sins of the end-time descendants of Israel?
According to some anti-Church of God critics, apparently so.
Yet, according to the Bible, there is an obligation to do otherwise:
3 Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; 4 and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.” (Ezekiel 9:3-4)
1 “Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)
Chimeras are an abomination! I have personally been warning/crying out against chimeras for years (e.g. see February 7, 2014 post: Russia looking at total GMO food ban; the frightening chimera research).
Now it has been reported that they are being produced.
God has a plan for humans–and that plan is not for animals.
Chimeras are about humans producing the creation in their own distorted image and stopping life from reproducing after its own kind. This clearly violates Genesis 1:22. But that is what chimeras are about.
Notice also that intercourse with animals is also biblically prohibited:
19 “Whoever lies with an animal shall surely be put to death. (Exodus 22:19)
15 If a man mates with an animal, he shall surely be put to death, and you shall kill the animal. 16 If a woman approaches any animal and mates with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:15-16)
Some believe that certain sexually-transmitted diseases began to infect humans because some violated those biblical admonitions. What is going on mixing human DNA with pigs and other animals is not good either.
Some might also recall the 1973 science-fiction movie Soylent Green where humans ended up in the food supply. Now, scientists keep working to somehow get human embryos modified to be part of medical supplies (some have claimed that already has happened with vaccines, see Human Fetal Tissue Being Used for Vaccines?). Do not be surprised if some combination of human-animal product ends up in the food supply–scientists have already been working on putting human genes in cows to make special milk–so this is not far-fetched.
Let me state here as a scientist, that there are other ways to deal with health research that do not involve human-genetic modification nor the destruction of human embryos.
The world, including the British and the Americans, are losing normal sensibilities, and moving into areas that are wrong.
The Bible shows that God wants godly offspring, and a man should only have one wife:
14…Yet she is your companion
And your wife by covenant.
15 But did He not make them one,
Having a remnant of the Spirit?
And why one?
He seeks godly offspring.
Therefore take heed to your spirit,
And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. (Malachi 2:14-15)4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19:4-6)
Mixing DNA from three humans is not part of God’s plan.
However, notice something that was prophesied:
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7, KJV)
Those who wish to destroy human embryos or create designer babies with this type of research LACK TRUE NATURAL AFFECTION. They are appealing to people’s love of their own selves for support. They are hoping to appeal to selfish lusts to get others to support their horrific agenda. They claim to be learning, but they are failing to come to the knowledge of the truth.
And what is the truth?
First, much research could be done with animal tissues, rendering much of the so-called need for human embryo destruction unnecessary. I have personally worked with animal tissues to improve the lives of humans for decades. It is much more cost-effective, much safer, and not immoral. However, since much of what I have worked on is NOT patent-able, pharmaceutical companies, with their financial-focus, does not pursue many treatments along that line.
Second, much disease is the result of sin. Sin in the form of greed that affects the food supply and environment. Sin in the form of sexual immorality harms the body (1 Corinthians 6:18). There are also other sins. There is a price to pay for this, and the time will come when the UK and it Anglo-Saxon descended allies will be no more (cf. Daniel 11:39). Coming up with chimeras or combining DNA from three or more human parents will not stop what will happen to those nations.
Third, while national repentance would go a long way to reducing many diseases, the only real solution is the return of Jesus and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.
Genetic manipulation of human embryos is not what humanity needs.
