RCG’s David Pack claims dozens of reasons 2013 is the year for reunification, but…

Laodicea
Laodicea has many ineffective structures

COGwriter

RCG’s David Pack made his ‘final’ reunification post late today.  He wrote:

This is my last announcement in this long series covering one of the greatest prophecies in the Bible—the reunification of God’s people…

“Notification” by God

Some weeks ago, when explaining the year that the prophecy is fulfilled, I listed perhaps two dozen reasons for 2013. There are perhaps twice that many more reasons that have been listed by those of us inside the process of learning what God is doing. There is no point in ennumerating them all because they would merely be lampooned by scoffers and mockers who in many cases might not even respond to the prophecy when they SEE it! For those who wish to be objective, but who take as a starting point that they do not believe the year of the prophecy’s fulfillment is 2013, ask why you disagree with the internal elements of the prophecy itself. I have put in a great many hours preparing what you read because there is value in getting people to think about what will happen BEFORE it happens…

God would first have to notify—inform!—His Church in advance of His plans, and for many reasons.Again, Amos 3:7…

Complete Destruction!

We learned that God is bringing “desolation” on the splinters…the objective person concludes that God foretells complete desolation of the splinters and slivers…

Some Final Points

Next consider that God has never dealt with people or done with leaders exactly as He plans with the three shepherds. In fact, there may be other miraculous events immediately surrounding this one…

Of course, many are eager to learn “Who are the three shepherds?” We will know soon enough. But we might ask: Which three leaders are the greatest obstructionists to God’s stated purpose in Haggai—returning HIS people to doing HIS Work? Yet again, we will watch and see…

Recall and reread I Corinthians 10:11 and Romans 15:4 from last week. Is Paul also telling us that 7,000 baptized members will be faithful, and added to His Church? If so, what about children in the count? Are these just the number who are “holdovers, the surviving portion” (the meaning of remnant in Haggai), from the Worldwide Church of God, with others converted later in the splinters on top of this? How do the thousands already in The Restored Church of God fit into this number—if it is to be taken as a literal number at all? I do not know the answers…

I decided to make this final announcement shorter. Instruction and warning has been given. Enough has been written.

God does speak through His prophets (Amos 3:7), but David Pack has again recently stated that he is not a prophet, and I will add that he does not speak for God.  Since David Pack IS NOT A PROPHET, he is not wise to refer to Amos 3:7 when he makes his false and odd predictions (for his own recent words, see 07/26/13 p.p.m. post at the News of those once affiliated with the Global Church of God page; he is also claiming that all not with him this month will lose God’s Spirit; for his own recent words see  07/28/13 a.m post at the News of those once affiliated with the Global Church of God page).

By ‘splinters’ and ‘slivers’ David Pack means COG groups not with him.  He expects their destruction this month, though I suspect he will later claim that this was a spiritual destruction.

Of course, he is also apparently expecting miracles. Unless Satan does some signs and wonders related to RCG, there are none to be expected this month.  He wants a reunification to occur this month (here is some of what I wrote about that last month: RCG’s David Pack predicts a reunification that will not happen next month).

David Pack is right, however, that he does not have all the answers.  And many of his speculations he claims are about to happen will not be supported by facts within the next month.

For those unfamiliar with him, David Pack is a delusional individual who runs a group improperly called the Restored Church of God.  Because of his covetous ways and scare tactics, I have doubted for years that he truly was part of the Church of God.

David has been claiming that he is an apostle, the top Church of  God leader, the prophesied Joshua, etc.   Lately, he has claimed that those in other COG groups will unify with him by August 30, 2013.  He also has claimed that three COG ‘obstructionists” are supposed to die that date as well, and I have been speculated as one (see RCG’s David Pack declares that ‘three shepherds’ will die on August 30, 2013. Is Bob Thiel one of them?)–but if I supposedly am one of David Pack’s three, I will not be dying this month.

In a sermon given on December 12, 1998, Bill Sheppard reported that David Pack stated :

I want to make a statement about…me…now, if I became deceived, I will never tell you what I’m going to tell you now…I am telling you if I go off into strange ideas, misconduct, rebellion, you name it, don’t follow me. I want to tell you that now, because if I start doing that I’m gonna try to get you to follow me! I’m gonna come to you and tell you it doesn’t apply, it doesn’t mean me, no, no, no, no, no, no, it’s OK to follow me because ABCD and XY and Z. Do you understand what I’m saying? Listen to me now, when I tell you don’t follow me if I go off into weird ideas, or if I get off into other things that are total absolutely unscriptural conduct, because if I do I’m gonna paint it with a different face and try to get you to follow me. Do you understand what I’m saying brethren? Please remember that, because I promise you that if I become deceived, I’ll forget it, and I’ll want you to forget it…And I hope you’ll remember it well enough to quote it right back to me…But I’ll tell you what, I’m not going anywhere. (http://home.neo.rr.com/lilshep/bill/information.html#follow 8/02/06).

I believe that the above is proof that God warned people, through David Pack, not to follow David Pack! Note: The Bible is clear that God sometimes uses those He condemns to providing warning messages (two such examples would be I Kings 13:20-32 and 22:22).

I have long believed that David Pack is prophesied, but not as he thinks.    I consider that the following applies to him and people like him:

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. (2 Peter 2:1-3).

Will RCG supporters stay with David Pack once he is proven wrong about the events of this month? If the track record with CGPFKG’s Ronald Weinland is any indication, sadly some will. But others will also likely leave (which happened to Ron Weinland).
