Harvard economist advises elimination of the one hundred dollar bill
There continues to be an effort around the world to move towards a cashless society.

Harvard economist Larry Summers says “it’s time to go after big money,” and he wants to start by banning the $100 bill. But critics say he and other globalist elites may have an ulterior motive for such a move.
The former U.S. Treasury secretary and chief economist of the World Bank recently penned an op-ed in the Washington Post calling for removing the 500 euro and $100 bills from circulation.
“He’s been writing forcefully about that for the past six months,” said Patrick Wood, an economist and expert on the Trilateral Commission, technocracy and global governance.
Summers is a member of the elitist Trilateral Commission, co-founded in 1971 by David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski, and has operated at the highest echelons of global finance.
The argument being parlayed by global elites is that high-denomination bills are often used by crime syndicates and terrorist cells.
Summers argues, “[I]n certain circles, the 500 euro note is known as the ‘Bin Laden,’” and this is why it should no longer be printed.
“A moratorium on printing new high denomination notes would make the world a better place. In terms of unilateral steps, the most important actor by far is the European Union. The €500 is almost six times as valuable as the $100,” writes Summers.
But Wood, an Arizona-based economist, says eliminating the $100 bill has little to do with fighting terrorism or crime and everything to do with continuing to chip away at the availability of cash.
“There’s a big portion of society that’s not included in the banking system. They just don’t have bank accounts. They operate on cash, and that’s a large percentage of the developing world, and even in America. A lot of people on welfare, they go around the first of every month cashing checks. They don’t have accounts, and apparently that’s something that bugs the global elite,” said Wood, author of “Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse of Global Transformation.”
“He’s a Trilateral guy, and it really bugs them that anybody is still living outside the system,” he said.

The USA used to have $10,000 notes, $1000 notes, etc. Now the $100 bill is its largest and people want that gone.
Last month on the radio, I heard calls for eliminating the US hundred dollar bill and the 500 Euro note supposedly to fight terrorism. But I would like to remind everyone that about 4 decades ago, the USA imposed reporting requirements on financial transactions of of $10,000 or more to supposedly stop drug dealers, tax evaders, and terrorists.
And that was when $10,000 was worth a lot more than it is today. Yet, we have more terrorism now than decades ago. But if people are scared enough, they may accept the elimination of the $100 bill and the 500 Euro note.
Of course, another alternative would be to place electronic tracking information in the $100 bill and/or the 500 Euro note. If you will notice, there is an odd strip on the $100 bill. Putting the ability to track that bill electronically may be the next step before possibly eliminating it.
Back in 2013 when the latest edition of the $100 bill came out (see New USA one hundred dollar bill cost 12.6 cents, but ultimately will have no monetary value), I wrote:
Whether it has it yet or not, I suspect that the US government also wants to have some type of tracking ability in its money (at least its higher denominated bills). Cash is much harder to track than electronic transfers and the USA government does not seem to like not being able to track just about everything.
Compared to about one hundred years ago, because of inflation, a new one hundred dollar bill has the purchasing power of about three one dollar bills used to.
Something could be added to the 500 Euro note if it were to be redesigned to ‘foil’ terrorism or other such claimed reasons.
Many of the globalists want to eliminate cash.

Consider what Sarah Leong wrote in view of the following biblical prophecy:

While it will be a European power that will fulfill the above prophecy of 666 (watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?), the USA has already agree to share surveillance techniques and information with the Europeans to make this happen (see The Snowden Leaks are Leading to the Destruction of the USA).
We are nearing the time of great distress and even more massive financial monitoring. More and more are publicly calling for it.

Starting this summer, the government will test a system in which foreign tourists will be able to verify their identities and buy things at stores using only their fingerprints.
The government hopes to increase the number of foreign tourists by using the system to prevent crime and relieve users from the necessity of carrying cash or credit cards. It aims to realize the system by the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The experiment will have inbound tourists register their fingerprints and other data, such as credit card information, at airports and elsewhere.
Tourists would then be able to conduct tax exemption procedures and make purchases after verifying their identities by placing two fingers on special devices installed at stores.
The Inns and Hotels Law requires foreign tourists to show their passports when they check into ryokan inns or hotels.
The government plans to substitute fingerprint authentication for that requirement. …
Data concerning how and where foreign tourists use the system will be managed by a consultative body led by the government, after the data is converted to anonymous big data.
After analyzing tourists’ movements and their spending habits, the data is expected to be utilized to devise policies on tourism and management strategies for the tourism industry.

Fingerprint ‘money’ will clearly be able to be tracked. And while that is not likely to be the final form of currency the Beast power of Revelation 13 will use, aspects of that technology may assist the Beast accomplish some of his controlling objectives.
We appear to be in the time that Jesus referred to as “the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:4-8), which will be followed by the “great tribulation” (Matthew 24:21)–which while not here yet, will include a time of monitoring and control of buying and selling (Revelation 13:16-18).
