Hindu Asian Rishi Sunak is now UK Prime Minister

The United Kingdom has a new Prime Minister:

LONDON (AP) — Rishi Sunak became Britain’s third prime minister of the year on Tuesday, tasked with taming an economic crisis that has left the country’s finances in a precarious state and millions struggling to pay their food and energy bills.

Sunak, who is the U.K.’s first leader of color, met King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, where the monarch officially asked the new leader of the governing Conservative Party to form a government, as is tradition.

Sunak clinched the leadership position Monday, seen by his party as a safe pair of hands it hopes will stabilize an economy sliding toward recession, and stem its own plunging popularity, after the brief, disastrous term of Liz Truss.

“I fully appreciate how hard things are,” Sunak said outside the prime minister’s 10 Downing Street residence. “And I understand, too, that I have work to do to restore trust after all that has happened. All I can say is that I am not daunted.”

When he was Treasury chief, Sunak became popular with the public by handing out billions in support to shuttered businesses and laid-off workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are some items Rishi Sunak pledged to do while campaigning for the prime ministership:

  • Rebuilding our Economy – A long-term plan to beat inflation, encourage investment to boost growth, and cut the basic income tax rate by 20%.
  • Scrapping VAT on Energy Bills – Temporarily scrapping VAT on energy bills to support every family through the winter.
  • Cutting NHS Backlogs – Getting to grips with the waiting list and introducing fines for missed appointments to stop our NHS from being misused.
  • Delivering on Brexit – Scrapping all EU laws that hold the economy back before the next election.

If he tries to deliver much on Brexit as he has pledged, this will cause major issues with the European Union–those in the EU have not, nor will they, forgive the UK for Brexit.

That said, Piers Morgan tweeted the following:

Piers Morgan thinks he is “the right guy for the job.” But how is a Hindu the right guy?

As Prime MINISTER, Rishi Sunak is supposed to support the Church of England.

Yet as a Hindu that would seem quite a stretch.

India’s Dainik Jagran newspaper suggested the country had achieved a measure of revenge against their former colonialist masters with Sunak’s rise to power.

“Rishi Sunak became the Prime Minister of Britain, command of the country that subjugated India for years is now in the hands of an Indian,” the newspaper reported.

When I heard yesterday that Rishi Sunak was likely to become UK’s Prime Minister, the following scriptures came to mind:

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower (Deuteronomy 28:43).

12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

10 ‘The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.” (Isaiah 9:10)

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

Note that the above are considered to be curses in the Bible for disobedience. And yes, Rishi Sunak can be considered as an alien–meeting with King Charles III does not change that.

And yes, the UK is becoming more and more disobedient.

Furthermore, Rishi Sunak has publicly advocated the UK being more disobedient–and that is not properly unifying. Notice the following:

In 2022, Sunak said that he wanted the UK to be “the safest and greatest country in the world to be LGBT+”. (Rishi Sunak. Wikipedia, acessed October 25, 2022)

The Bible warns:

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
And prudent in their own sight!  (Isaiah 5:20-21)

Notice a prophecy from the Book of Isaiah:

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them,
And they declare their sin as Sodom;
They do not hide it.
Woe to their soul!
For they have brought evil upon themselves.

10 “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them,
For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him,
For the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12 As for My people, children are their oppressors,
And women rule over them.
O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err,
And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:9-12)

The Book of Proverbs has the following prophecy:

12 There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes,
Yet is not washed from its filthiness.
13 There is a generation — oh, how lofty are their eyes!
And their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords,
And whose fangs are like knives,
To devour the poor from off the earth,
And the needy from among men. (Proverbs 30:12-14)

Yes, we are in a time when the generation of leaders does not fear God, but thinks its ideas are right.

Hindus do not believe that they need to heed the word of God–and Rishi Sunak’s promotion of the UK for LGBTQ+ matters suggests that he, like many others, despises the word of God.

Notice something else from the Book of Isaiah:

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,
And trust in oppression and perversity,
And rely on them,
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.
14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel,
Which is broken in pieces;
He shall not spare.
So there shall not be found among its fragments
A shard to take fire from the hearth,
Or to take water from the cistern.” (Isaiah 30:12-14)

Yes, the UK (and others) will pay a tremendous cost for despising the word of God.

The following came to mind related to him and many other politicians:

1 Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

An Asian Hindu is not the answer for what ails the UK.

Furthermore, the Bible teaches what the solution is.

It is repentance and turning to Jesus, individually (Acts 2:38) as well as repentance nationally to save a people (Hosea 11:3a, 5b-7).

Since national repentance is not expected, the end of the UK (Daniel 8:21-22, 11:39) and other governments of this world, is coming:

15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”  (Revelation 11:15-16)

However, the good news is that Kingdom of God is the solution (watch also The Kingdom of God is the Solution).

That Kingdom of God will renew the earth and help all: men and women, boys and girls, rich and poor, etc.

Sadly, many leaders in the Anglo-American nations are causing people to err and not move in that biblical direction.
