We are at one of the most critical turning points in modern world history, and whether or not we will be able to avoid World War 3 will come down to a handful of key decisions that Donald Trump will make over the next few days. In particular, the Iranians have repeatedly warned that they will bomb Israel if there is U.S. retaliation.
And if Iran attacks Israel, the Israelis will likely respond with overwhelming force, and once that happens nobody is going to be able to stop a major war from happening.
This could literally be our last chance to avoid World War 3, and hopefully President Trump is getting some really good advice from the people around him.
Because I believe that the Iranian threats are very real. Shortly after launching missiles at U.S. bases in Iraq, the Iranians threatened “to bomb Israel and Dubai if the United States retaliates”…
On Sunday, the head of Iran’s Expediency Council warned that if Trump escalates the conflict, Iran would “strike Haifa, Tel Aviv and wipe out Israel”…
And then on Monday, the chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said that the nation of Israel would be wiped out in “half an hour” if the U.S. attacks Iran again…
Even though this is a conflict between the United States and Iran, clearly the Iranians want to make this about Israel as well. …

Yes, we may be at a critical turning point in modern history. Yes, Israel has been preparing. Yes, Israel may hit back so hard that the world will be stunned.
But no, this is NOT WWIII.
As far as Iran’s claim to knock out Israel in less than an hour, consider that Israel is claiming it has another defensive system:

“It’s a game-changer” — declared Gen. Yaniv Rotem, head of Israel’s Defense Ministry’s (IDF) Directorate of Research and Development, in a Jerusalem Post interview profiling the county’s newest breakthrough laser targeting technology.
The IDF unveiled what’s being described as an aerial ‘laser sword’ which can take out multiple types of airborne threats such as drones, rockets and anti-tank missiles. …
Specifically the latest breakthrough touted by the ministry relates to the precision and concentration of the laser beam’s power.
“According to Oster, the ministry was able to take several laser beams and, with an advanced algorithm, connect them to get one strong beam that is able to intercept and take down a variety of threats,” according to the report, citing the Defense Ministry’s Directorate of Research and Development head of the Optronics Department, Dubi Oster. …
Defense Minister Naftali Bennett referenced the high-tech system as a defense “laser sword. The Bible contains the following caution:
‘Let not the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off.’ (1 Kings 20:11)
Putting on armor does not mean one cannot be defeated or at least greatly harmed.
Israel’s aerial laser sword looks to augment, or even potentially replace, its “Iron Dome” system. Iron is essentially an anti-missile system intended to block rockets and missiles from hitting targets within Israel.

Here is some of what Wikipedia says about the Iron Dome:
Iron Dome (Hebrew: כִּפַּת בַּרְזֶל, kippat barzel) is a mobile all-weather air defense system[8] developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries.[7] The system is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to 70 kilometres (43 mi) away and whose trajectory would take them to an Israeli populated area.[9][10] Israel hopes to increase the range of Iron Dome’s interceptions, from the current maximum of 70 kilometres (43 mi) to 250 kilometres (160 mi) and make it more versatile so that it could intercept rockets coming from two directions simultaneously.[11] (Iron Dome, Wikipedia, accessed 01/10/20)
Israel has mainly used the Iron Dome to deal with rockets from Gaza. But this, plus some version of its laser sword would probably be used in attacks from Iran.
We may very well see a regional war–or worse, a war that could possibly lead to the deal of Daniel 9:27 and the seven year countdown to the end.
The Bible shows that God will allow what looks to be a Iranian-Syrian confederation, to strike the nation of Israel:
1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.
What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops, 2 You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. Elam, as mentioned before, seems to be a reference to at least some in Iran. The Bible tells that after Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria took over Damascus, he moved Syrians to Kir. While this does not mean that Kir must (or must only) be a reference to Syria, the fact that Syria is an ally of Iran is interesting.
The Bible tells of a time when Kir will be destroyed (Isaiah 15:1b) and also says that Syria’s capital Damascus will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1).
In Isaiah 22: 8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel–God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that “the damage to the city of David” is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem–and notice that the damage will be great. This, in turn, would be expected to result in a massive Israeli, possibly with US involvement, attack against Iran and its allies, like Syria.

Is Donald Trump fulfilling Ezekiel 32 related to Iran?
On December 27, 2019, Iranian-connected individuals were believed to have killed an American contractor. Rockets, the Iron Dome, and laser swords are NOT the solution for the region.
The coming damage to Jerusalem would likely be a prelude to a temporal peace in the region.
True peace will not come until after the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.
