AUKUS is a trilateral security partnership<\/a> established in 2021 by Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. It focuses on countering China\u2019s influence in the Indo-Pacific region by enhancing the three countries\u2019 military capabilities through the deployment of nuclear-powered submarines, what is known as the “Pillar One” of the alliance.<\/p>\n

The three countries also are cooperating to develop advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cyber capabilities, and other undersea and defense systems \u2014 referred to as “Pillar Two.”<\/p>\n

The alliance encompasses Australia’s acquisition of nuclear-powered submarines from the United States, the joint development of a new AUKUS-class submarine, and the creation of facilities to host U.S. and British submarines on Australian territory. https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/aukus-unveils-undersea-drone-project-to-deepen-defense-partnership-pete-hegseth\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

AUKUS is primarily aimed at containing China.<\/p>\n

Not surprisingly, the Chinese oppose it, and its existence has also tended to upset the Europeans.<\/p>\n

AUKUS sparking European military<\/a><\/h3>\n

In September 2021, US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a new military partnership called AUKUS. This announcement upset the French and the European Union, which is not part of it. Could AUKUS be another spark for the Europeans to develop their own joint military? What have European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and former German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel called for? Could having the Europeans increase their military capacity and technology and be dangerous? Is the European King of the North, also called the King of Assyria, prophesied to destroy the USA (Daniel <\/span>11:39<\/span>) and its British-descended allies? What could stop that? Is national or personal repentance possible? Do the nations need Jesus or military alliances?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

China believes, correctly, that the AUKUS group and its military plans are intended towards reducing China’s military influence in the Asia-Pacific region. China is interested in Australia and one day may very well control it.<\/p>\n

That being said, it is not just China that is disturbed by AUKUS, much of Europe has been as well (see also AUKUS alliance; EU wants its own stronger military<\/a>).<\/p>\n

AUKUS is one of several USA moves away from Europe which is also getting Europe to wish to develop its own military–one independent of the USA.<\/p>\n

Related to AUKUS and the pivot of the USA towards Asia and away from Europe, the following is in my free eBook Unintended Consequences and Donald Trump\u2019s Presidency<\/a><\/span>:<\/p>\n

In 2021, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States announced a new military alliance called AUKUS. This offended the Chinese as well as officials in the European Union who called it \u201ca stab in the back\u201d.[i]<\/a> In 2022, AUKUS announced joint production of hypersonic weapons, which China quickly objected to.[ii]<\/a> …<\/p>\n

Although Hillary Clinton is considered to have been an early promoter of what has been called the pivot strategy towards Asia,[iii]<\/a> Donald Trump has been somewhat supportive of that policy. This \u2018pivot\u2019 has partially been responsible for a decreased USA military presence in Europe.[iv]<\/a>\u00a0 Aspects of this will hurt the U.S. later. …<\/p>\n

By focusing too much on threats from China and almost always considering the Europeans as some type of allies, a Donald Trump Administration is currently not expected to reverse the Asian \u2018pivot\u2019 strategy. Unless he changes that, this pivot will help result in destruction of the USA. …<\/p>\n

Back in 2009, I came across some interesting Chinese prophecies from the Tang Dynasty (7-10th<\/sup> century). Notice one Chinese prophecy might hint that it involves dividing Australia and New Zealand with Europe.\u00a0 It states:<\/p>\n

Population mouth takes territories south of the Yangtze river. The capital is moved again. The two divide up the territories, of which each maintains and defends.[i]<\/a><\/p>\n

This could be related to a deal that perhaps the Chinese will make in the future with Europe (there are some ancient Chinese prophecies that discuss arrangements with some from the West), as opposed to military conquest.<\/p>\n

The Chinese, in reaction to a deal made by then Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Barack Obama, indicated that this and the expanded military cooperation between Australia and the USA is putting Australia at risk of attack by China.[ii]<\/a><\/p>\n

China is now heavily invested in Australia and may argue that it has rights to the land. Furthermore, in recent years, the Chinese have been buying a lot of real estate in Australia, beyond purchases of mineral assets. China and Japan also have interests in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

China may be granted lands like Australia in partial repayment for the debts that the USA owes it, as well as in full or partial payment for any debts Europe itself may incur with China (it is likely that China will loan money and\/or increase investments in Europe).<\/p>\n

So, that should make it clear that I do not believe that AUKUS will save Australia.<\/p>\n

And yes, I believe that the focus of the USA and UK on China will result in them overlooking what will happen in Europe. And what is prophesied to occur to defeat the USA and its British-descended allies by a coming European leader (cf. Daniel 11:39).<\/p>\n
