The EEAS has named Kajsa Ollongren as secretary general, with Matti Maasikas and David Cvach in deputy roles. The defence-focused appointments come as the bloc’s foreign policy machinery faces increasing pressure. …<\/h3>\n

Kajsa Ollongren has been appointed Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), a position left vacant following the departure of Bel\u00e9n Mart\u00ednez Carbonell earlier this year. …<\/p>\n

The post of deputy secretary general for geoeconomics and interinstitutional issues \u2013 a new position created under last year’s EEAS reorganisation to oversee relations with member states’ ambassadors \u2013 was awarded to Matti Maasikas, who had been acting in the role pending a final appointment.<\/p>\n

Maasikas was the EU ambassador to Kyiv when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. He has also served as Estonia’s deputy minister for EU affairs and secretary general of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

For the post of deputy secretary general for peace, security and defence, the EEAS turned to France’s ambassador to NATO, David Cvach. He previously advised the French president on Middle East affairs, including Iran, and served as director for European affairs at France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

“The key priority for this mandate is defending Europe, defending Ukraine. We have to deliver on that. Many in Europe have been outraged by many statements and actions of its President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Notice that the Bible shows that the time will come when Europe will reorganize and turn power over to a dictator called the beast below:<\/p>\n

12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This will NOT be a democracy.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, at a conference in 2025, Herr Guttenberg referred to \u201cbully Trump\u201d and said Europe needed to be achieve an independent military defense so that it no longer needs to dependent on the USA.[iii]<\/a> An unintended consequence of Donald Trump\u2019s presidency may be the rise of Barron Guttenberg.<\/p>\n

Europe will go in a direction that USA leaders, including its \u2018foreign policy experts,\u2019 do not comprehend (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).<\/p>\n

When my wife and I were in Europe in late 2016, many of the Europeans we spoke to were essentially of the view that the USA is supposed to be the leader of the West, so how could it possibly elect Donald Trump? We were told this by Europeans from countries like Switzerland, Spain, and the Netherlands. European disdain for Donald Trump and how they perceive his leading of the USA is real. …<\/p>\n

Some in Europe have long wanted to be independent of the USA.<\/span> …<\/p>\n

Many in the USA do not seem to realize that once Europeans are spending more for their militaries, they will also expect to have more independence from the USA as to how military might will be used.<\/span> …<\/p>\n

While Donald Trump seems to believe that his policies are best for the United States, notice some unintended consequences of them: …<\/p>\n
