, 866-295-4143) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told\u00a0CNN T\u00fcrk<\/em>\u00a0that Israel has become \u201ca problem for the entire international community\u201d and that \u201cIsraeli authorities have become a burden humanity can no longer bear\u201d (\u201cTurkish FN Fidan,\u201d\u00a0World Israel News<\/em>,\u00a0July 3<\/a>\u00a0, 2026). He is unwittingly citing Scripture. The prophet Zechariah said, \u201cThe burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.\u00a0Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0against Jerusalem.\u00a0And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it\u201d (Zec. 12:1-3). This is a reference to Armageddon when the foolish nations will besiege Jerusalem during the coming day of the Lord. Jerusalem will be a stone that is too heavy to lift and too strong to break.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Prophetically, we know Turkey will be part of a confederacy against the tiny nation of Israel and will suffer because of that (cf. Ezekiel 35:15). Notice something posted here a few week ago:<\/p>\n

Notice a prophecy in the Book of Psalms:<\/p>\n

2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
\nAnd those who hate You have lifted up their head.
\n3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
\nAnd consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
\n4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
\nThat the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
\n5 For they have consulted together with one consent;
\nThey form a confederacy against You:
\n6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
\nMoab and the Hagrites;
\n7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
\nPhilistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
\n8 Assyria also has joined with them;
\nThey have helped the children of Lot. (Psalms 83:2-8)<\/p>\n

The ‘who’ that have consulted together and agreed to the conspiracy includes Turkey. \u201cEdom\u201d is a reference to Turkey. ‘Assyria’ is a reference to a future European power. The “the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites; 7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;” are a reference to the Arabic peoples.<\/p>\n

So, Turkey will work with both.<\/p>\n

Notice the following from the old Radio Church of God:<\/p>\n

Turn to the astounding prophecy found in Psalm 83:1-8. David, inspired of God, predicted the coming time when ALL of Israel\u2019s enemies would join together in an effort to crush out even the name \u201cIsrael\u201d from the face of the earth! (Verse 4) \u201cFor they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee\u2026\u201d (verse 5). Notice the nations making up this confederation. \u201cEdom [Turkey], and the Ishmaelites [Saudi Arabia]; Moab [Jordan], and the Hagarenes [they anciently dwelt in the land known as Syria today]; Gebal {Lebanon}, and Ammon [Jordan] and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur [whose descendants migrated to Germany] is joined with them; they have helped the children of Lot\u201d {Moab and Ammon in modern Jordan). Here we see that the Arab nations mentioned are allied with Germany (Assur) which we know from other prophecies will be the military leader \u2014 naturally so \u2014 of a United States of Europe…Egypt…will provoke the prophesied United Europe (Dan. 11:40). This European power \u2014 called the “king of the north” in Daniel 11 \u2014 shall invade and occupy the “glorious land” of Palestine (verse 41). “And the land of Egypt shall not escape”(Boraker R. SYRIA RAIDS ISRAEL \u2013 Where Is It Leading? Plain Truth. November 1966)<\/p>\n

Turkey will be part of a confederacy that will conspire against the tiny nation of Israel as well as against the USA and its British-descended allies (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a>) but since Assyria is involved in Psalm 83, this is also an alliance with a coming European power. Erdogan\u2019s Ottoman Gambit: Turkey Prepares for a New Regional Order<\/span><\/h2>\n

Turkey is simultaneously dumping US Treasuries, deepening Russia\u2019s energy embrace, rolling out a tax regime to poach capital fleeing the Gulf\u2026 and squaring off against an Israeli political class that now speaks openly of Turkey as an enemy. It\u2019s strategic.<\/p>\n

Turkey sold nearly all of its US Treasury holdings in March \u2014 cutting them from $16 billion to just $1.8 billion in a single month. The official narrative frames this as emergency reserve management amid a weakening lira and inflation running above 32%. But the mechanics of financial stress don\u2019t explain the direction of travel. Nations don\u2019t systematically dump the debt of their allies.<\/p>\n

President Erdogan has been explicit. In a recent address he cast Turkey as\u00a0\u201cone of the shining stars of the new era,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0invoking the restoration of Ottoman-era influence across the region. Turkey vehemently opposes Israel\u2019s operations in Gaza, and in Ankara\u2019s strategic calculus, Washington and Tel Aviv are increasingly viewed as a single entity. The Treasury sell-off is as much a political signal as a liquidity operation.\u00a0The Turkish government has smelt blood in the streets and wants to capitalise on the situation. …<\/strong><\/p>\n

Israeli political figures have begun to speak with unusual candour about Turkey as a threat rather than a competitor. Israeli Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar stated plainly:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must begin to treat Turkey as an enemy state.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett went further, framing Turkey in the same breath as Iran:<\/p>\n

\u201cA new Turkish threat is emerging. We must act in different ways, but simultaneously against the threat from Tehran and against the hostility from Ankara.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These are not fringe voices. When a sitting minister and a former head of government use the language of simultaneous threat management for both Iran and Turkey, they are signalling a strategic posture \u2014 one that has obvious implications for NATO cohesion, for the future of the Bosphorus as a neutral passage, and for the stability of the broader region.<\/p>\n

Erdogan reads this clearly. The deepening of Russian energy ties, the rejection of US debt, the cultivation of Ottoman-sphere influence \u2014 these are not reactions to Gaza alone. Yes, Turkey wants to play a larger international role. And yes, it has issues with the USA and the tiny nation called Israel.<\/p>\n

Turkey will be involved in a couple of confederations in the end times, and causing damage to the USA and the nation called Israel are prophetically forecasted.<\/p>\n

In time, Turkey will will align with the coming King of the South<\/a>. My experience with the Turks (my wife and I have been to Turkey 3 or 4 times) is that they are a pragmatic people. After some time, the Turks will see problems with the ambitions of the King of the South<\/a>. This will lead to one or more leaders in Turkey betraying the King of the South<\/a> to the European<\/a> King of the North<\/a> consistent with Daniel 11:26, who may well be a Habsburg (see also Might German Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg become the King of the North?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In the past, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called for an Islamic alliance–such an alliance will one day take place. Yet, Turkey ultimately will align with Europe.<\/p>\n
