A British Member of Parliament (MP) is admitting a major risk for the UK:<\/p>\n

A SPACE-BASED nuclear attack on Britain is “quite likely”, according to a Conservative MP. The Defence Select Committee said the resulting radiation pulse could disrupt power and water supplies, UK defence and satellite navigation systems.<\/p>\n

Its chairman, Tory MP James Arbuthnot, said an attack was “quite likely”…<\/p>\n

“The consequences if it did happen would be so devastating that we really ought to start protecting against it now, and our vulnerabilities are huge.”<\/p>\n

Mr Arbuthnot added: “it would actually have a far more devastating effect to use a nuclear weapon in this way than to explode a bomb in or on a city. The reason for that is it would, over a much wider area, take out things like the National Grid, on which we all rely for almost everything, take out the water system, the sewage system.<\/p>\n

“And rapidly it would become very difficult to live in cities. I mean within a matter of a couple of days.<\/p>\n

A nuclear device detonated up to 500 miles above the earth’s surface could generate an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) with a “devastating” effect on power supplies, telecommunications and other vital systems, the Commons Defence Committee said.<\/p>\n

The UK is absolutely at risk for an emp-type attack as well as devastation from solar flares.\u00a0 As I have written before, I suspect that the USA itself is liable to be hit by a significant solar flare and\/or some type of electronic magnetic pulse weapon (emp bomb) before it is gone.\u00a0 Canada and other locations are also at risk.\u00a0 A “successful” emp detonation could bring down computers, communications’ systems, electrical grids, etc. and truly devastate modern societies.<\/p>\n

I suspect that Europe’s Galileo “GPS” satellites might do better in a solar flare or a pulse bomb attack as their satellites are generally newer than the satellites that countries like the USA and UK have been using.\u00a0 If so, this could give the Europeans a massive military advantage over the USA that few would even consider could be coming.<\/p>\n

If there is an emp attack of one or more of the Anglo-descended nations, presuming that it came from terrorist sources, it could be part of a so-called “perfect storm” of events that could set the USA and UK up for utter destruction.\u00a0 I believe that the debt situation of the USA and UK are putting them at risk of being unable to recover should one or both countries be hit by weather problems, solar flares, severe earthquakes, civil unrest, devastation of their genetically-modified food supplies, food shortages, and\/or various pestilences–an intensity of “sorrows” such as Jesus discussed in Matthew 24:4-8 leading up to the time of the Great Tribulation.\u00a0 Of course, another possibility is that an emp-type attack will help start the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), known by most as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21).\u00a0 And maybe there will be multiple emp-attacks and\/or devastating solar flare incidents.<\/p>\n

As far as solar flares go, they were also discussed in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a>. Here are a few passages related to them:<\/p>\n

Solar outbursts have been proposed that could essentially wipe out modern civilization.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Notice a scenario that is based on a report from the U.S. National Academy of Scientists (although the precise date seems to be speculative):<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to the NAS report, a severe space weather event in the US could induce ground currents that would knock out 300 key transformers within about 90 seconds, cutting off the power for more than 130 million people\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

First to go \u2013 immediately for some people \u2013 is drinkable water\u2026With no electricity to pump water from reservoirs, there is no more\u2026There is simply no electrically powered transport: no trains, underground or overground\u2026For hospitals, that would mean about 72 hours of running a bare-bones, essential care only, service. After that, no more modern healthcare.<\/p>\n

The truly shocking finding is that this whole situation would not improve for months, maybe years\u2026<\/p>\n

As\u00a0 N.A.S.A.\/N.O.A.A. report indicated that the next solar cycle peak may be later, like May 2013.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Both solar flares and emp-type weapons have similar devastating potential.<\/p>\n

There are real risks for the USA, Canada, UK, and other nations. But most ignore warning signs. Will you?<\/p>\n
