The Catholic pastoral office of St. Gallen, Switzerland, is co-organizing a free drag event in a public hall, and a church-employed liturgist will moderate it on stage this Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Titled \u201cDeep Drag \u2013 Memory and Hope,\u201d the program will feature a St. Gallen \u201cdrag performer\u201d referred to as \u201cLupa Nova\u201d and \u201cdrag queen Am\u00e9lie Putain\u201d who,\u00a0according<\/a>\u00a0to local media, are \u201cworking together with the city chaplaincy of Katholisch St.Gallen.\u201d<\/p>\n

The St. Gallen Catholic Church website highlights an\u00a0advertisement<\/a>\u00a0for the event.<\/p>\n

The format mixes \u201cdrag performances\u201d with interviews and discussion facilitated by Ann-Katrin G\u00e4sslein, identified as an employed theologian in the pastoral offices the Catholic Church in St. Gallen, and a research assistant at the Chair of Liturgy Studies of the University of Lucerne.<\/p>\n

According to a\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0by traditional Catholic writer and commentator Chris Jackson, G\u00e4sslein \u201ceven finds a theological analogy between drag and Christianity: \u2018transformation,\u2019 she argues, stands at the center of Catholic faith. She says the collaboration is meant to send a signal for diversity within society and the Catholic Church.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to this presentation, Jackson clarified that \u201cChristian conversion means the old man dies so that the new man may live in Christ. Drag deliberately manipulates the symbols of sex and identity as performance. The Vatican would be wise to stop this ‘Deep Drag’ event.<\/p>\n

While the LGBTQ crowd wants such, many others see such promotions as incompatible with moral teachings. Here is something related to the Orthodox in Eastern Europe:<\/p>\n

Leaders from Orthodox Churches have spoken out against LGBT \u201cpride\u201d parades across Europe. …<\/p>\n

The Bulgarian Patriarchate<\/a> said in a statement that humanity was created by God \u201cas man and woman\u201d and that the family is the natural environment for raising children, warning that \u201cpride\u201d parades promote views and behaviors that are \u201cincompatible with Christian moral teaching.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Romanian Orthodox Church<\/a> also criticized the \u201cpride\u201d events. It stated in a declaration that the LGBT movement endangers \u201csocial peace and mutual respect,\u201d which are indispensable for the common good. What about the Vatican?<\/p>\n

Some of its clergy take a different view of ‘pride’ events.<\/p>\n

Catholic parish in Germany backs pro-LGBT parade, joins Protestants in offering \u2018blessings\u2019<\/h2>\n

A Catholic parish church in Germany came out in support of the pro-LGBT Christopher Street Day (CSD) parade in conjunction with the local Protestant parish.<\/p>\n

According to a local news outlet<\/a>, on June 13 the Protestant church in Pforzheim and the Catholic parish of the Sacred Heart will support the CSD, as Christiane Quincke, dean of the Protestant church in Pforzheim, and Father Steffen Sch\u00f6lch, parish priest of the Catholic parish of Pforzheim, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cA few weeks ago, we celebrated Pentecost. This feast shows that the Holy Spirit unites people and creates community,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n

No one should have to hide their \u201cidentity\u201d or background, the church leaders stressed.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the contrary: God created us in diversity and unites us. We are firmly convinced that every person \u2013 regardless of religion, background, social status, or sexual identity \u2013 is created by God and loved by God. We share this concern with CSD [Christopher Street Day], which advocates for the dignity of queer people, seeks to make visible the diversity of people in their sexual identities, and takes to the streets for their rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

The churches will have a joint booth during the CSD parade in Pforzheim and plan to administer \u201cblessings\u201d for the participants.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe view with great concern the fact that queer people are increasingly subjected to hostility and threats \u2013 including in Pforzheim,\u201d the joint church statement said, …<\/p>\n

On its website<\/a>, the Pforzheim parish has a section labeled \u201cfor queer people\u201d that links to the website of the Archdiocese of Freiburg headed by Archbishop Stephan Burger. The archdiocese has an \u201coffer for queer people,\u201d which appears to be a form of \u201cpastoral care\u201d that does not call sinners to repentance but instead affirms them in their supposed \u201cqueer identity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of condoning sin, note what the Bible says:<\/p>\n

1 Cry aloud, spare not;
\nLift up your voice like a trumpet;
\nTell My people their transgression,
\nAnd the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)<\/p>\n

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man \u2014 and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.<\/p>\n

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.<\/p>\n

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. Here is the pope: threatened and attacked on all sides and generally criticized, Francis is said to be \u2018among the wolves\u2019.<\/p>\n

Sexual immorality is a big problem for the Church of Rome.<\/p>\n

This should make it clear to Roman Catholics that their clergy is NOT filled with holy men.<\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul warned:<\/p>\n

9<\/sup> Do you not realise that people who do evil will never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake \u2014 the sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,10<\/sup> thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, New Jerusalem Bible\u2013a Roman Catholic approved translation)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Note: Sodomites are homosexuals.<\/p>\n

It is NOT good to promote Drag Queens, their story hours, and various other forms of perversion, despite some saying it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notice also the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them,
\nAnd they declare their sin as Sodom;
\nThey do not hide it.
\nWoe to their soul!
\nFor they have brought evil upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9) NKJV<\/p>\n

4 A haughty look, a proud heart,
\nAnd the plowing of the wicked are sin. (Proverbs 21:4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for pushing an ancient LGBTQ agenda. The moderns are no better and seem to be worse. And, of course, they do not like the Bible condemning their behaviours and pride as sin.<\/p>\n

The Bible warns about something consistent with that in the last days:<\/p>\n

1<\/strong><\/span> But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: <\/span><\/div>\n
2<\/strong><\/span> For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, <\/span><\/div>\n

4<\/strong><\/span> traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, <\/span><\/div>\n
5<\/strong><\/span> having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! <\/span><\/div>\n
6<\/strong><\/span> For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, <\/span><\/div>\n
7<\/strong><\/span> always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

Many people seemingly despise the moral teachings of the word of God\u2013this will not end well:<\/p>\n

\nAnd rely on them,
\n13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
\nLike a breach ready to fall,

All, including Roman Catholic parishes, should believe and heed the Bible and not despise its teachings.<\/p>\n

Drag queen shows at churches are a perverse mockery of the Bible.<\/p>\n
