Burning debris and rubbish can also be seen in the square.<\/p>\n<p>The protests have now entered their third week.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of people have been arrested since the demonstrations began.<\/p>\n<p>On October 7, authorities suspended the use of stun grenades during protests after a teenager lost a hand in an explosion.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NEXTA (@nexta_tv) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nexta_tv\/status\/2108230249804677417?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 8, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/cogwriter.htm\">COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>EuroNews<\/em> posted the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"c-article-redesign-title\"><span class=\"c-article-title__prefix--red\">Breaking news.<\/span> M\u00e9lenchon declares \u2018Bastille retaken\u2019 after major student rally in Paris<\/h2>\n<div class=\"source inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/source\/instances\/cljiinpku002a26qfa7n425c0@published\">8 October 2026<\/div>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cljij4mzl001m3b6fyrtfw308@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">Jean-Luc M\u00e9lenchon, leader of the hard left France Unbowed party took to X on Thursday to declare &#8220;the Bastille has been retaken&#8221;, after students staged demonstrations across the country \u2014 including a major rally at Paris&#8217; infamous Place de la Bastille.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday&#8217;s major protests were part of the student-led movement which began on 17 September in the suburbs of Paris gradually developed into a broader campaign addressing issues including long school days, overcrowded schools, teacher absences.<\/p>\n<p>The mass gathering which took place at the place de la Bastille started off peacefully, but clashes with the police later erupted, with tear gas and a water cannon fired at protesters.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, M\u00e9lenchon wrote &#8220;powerful demonstration by the youth who carry their demands in the most beautiful way possible! Immense pride. See you on Tuesday, October 13, at the call of the youth unions and workers.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/2026\/10\/08\/melenchon-declares-bastille-retaken-after-major-student-rally-in-paris\">https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/2026\/10\/08\/melenchon-declares-bastille-retaken-after-major-student-rally-in-paris<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Bastille was stormed by a crowd on 14 July 1789, <u>that led to the French revolution and the beheading of much of the French aristocracy.<\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u><\/u><u> Napoleon later rose up.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Bastille became an important symbol for the French Republican movement. It was later demolished and replaced by the Place de la Bastille public square in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>However, this storming is likely to turn more of the French populace against migrants and in favor of a tough leader to deal with them.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, France will support the rise of a dictator that the Bible refers to as the Beast.<\/p>\n<p>Revelation 17:12-13 states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are <strong>ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet<\/strong>, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.\u00a0 (Revelation 17:12-13, NKJV throughout unless otherwise specified)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>These ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is not discussing ten currently existing nations&#8211;this is a type of reorganization in verse 12. And basically a type of major or great reset (see also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/great-reset-prophecy.htm\">Is a Great Reset Coming?<\/a>). Since those kings give their power to the Beast in verse 13, this is a second reorganization.
