The price of corn has been rising and other foods may see price increases as well:<\/p>\n

Corn prices are up 33% over the past month\u2026 and sit near 10-year highs. This week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) cut the corn crop forecast by 12% to 13 billion bushels\u2026 The market expected 13.5 billion. Those expectations were down from the USDA’s June outlook of a record 14.79 billion bushels. Droughts and extreme heat across the Midwest have damaged the crop…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tougher times are coming. And for some parts of the world these tougher time may be here now. People who can prepare, should: both spiritually and physically.\u00a0 In addition to the type of price increases we are now seeing, I continue to suspect that likely crop failures associated with GMO grains are putting the USA at extreme risk of being destroyed economically and otherwise (and most USA corn is genetically-modified).\u00a0\u00a0 Most Americans do not like to accept this, but it is nonetheless true.<\/p>\n

Food inflation is something that I warned would likely be seen in 2012 and we are seeing some of it.<\/p>\n

The disciples asked Jesus about the end:<\/p>\n

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice some of what Jesus taught in response:<\/p>\n

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet<\/strong>. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places<\/strong>. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows<\/strong>. (Matthew 24:4-8).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The \u201cbeginning of sorrows\u201d (Mathew 24:7-8) begins before the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), the time of Jacob\u2019s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7).\u00a0 We seem to be in the beginning stages of these sorrows.<\/p>\n

As Jesus said:<\/p>\n

37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! (Mark 13:36-37)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The time is coming when the USA will have severe food shortages–more than the current food inflation.\u00a0 And at that same time, the USA may have to provide grain to China and other creditors that it owes when some Americans will be starving.<\/p>\n

Those in North America are not going to be exempt from food shortages forever.<\/p>\n
