COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n A Syrian official made some rare public statements about other Sunni nations:<\/p>\n 29 July 2012<\/p><\/blockquote>\n BEIRUT (AP) \u2014 The Syrian regime accused regional powerhouses Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey of trying to destroy the country and vowed Sunday that it would defeat rebels who have captured large swathes of the commercial hub Aleppo…Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem, on a visit to Iran, leveled some rare public criticism of Sunni powers in the Middle East, saying Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are supporting a plot hatched by Israel to destroy Syria…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Israel is the mastermind of all in this crisis,” Moallem told a joint news conference in Tehran with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi . “They (Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey) are fighting in the same front.”\u00a0 http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/middle_east\/activists-shelling-clashes-in-aleppo-syrian-regime-vows-to-purge-city-of-terrorists\/2012\/07\/29\/gJQAUpXjHX_story.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n While most Muslims, including Arab ones, are Sunni Muslim, Iran and Iraq are mostly Shi’ite.\u00a0 Syria, because it is such a close ally of Iran, tries to downplay the Shi’ite role, but about 74% of Syrians are Sunni Muslim and only around 12% are Shi’ite.<\/p>\n Both the Shi’ites and Sunnis have various views about the end times.\u00a0 Though both believe in some type of end time leader who provides some type of Islamic unity, parts of their views are conflicting, as are some within both camps.<\/p>\n The Shi’ites, and many of\u00a0 Sunnis (who have differences with who this leader would be), expect that this leader, who they tend to call the Imam Mahdi will rise up (and the final main Islamic leader could be the King of the South of Daniel 11:40-43).<\/p>\n Here is one Islamic view that suggests he does after Syria has problems and around the time Syria is destroyed:<\/p>\n Traditions have been reported mentioning the signs for the time of the appearance of the Imam who will arise (qa’im), peace be on him, and the events which will take place before his appearance, together with the indications and features of it. Among them are: The Sufyani will come out in revolt; the Hasanid will be killed; the Abbasids will dispute over worldly kingdom; there will be an eclipse of the sun in the middle of the month of Ramadan; there will be an eclipse of the moon at the end of that month in contrast to ordinary happenings; the land will be swallowed up at al-Bayda’; it will be swallowed in the east-it will be swallowed up in the west; the sun will stay still from the time of its decline to the middle of the time for the afternoon prayer; it will rise from the west; a pure soul (nafs zakiyya) will be killed in the outskirts of Kufa with seventy righteous men; a Hashimite will be slaughtered between the corner (of the Ka’ba) and the station of Abraham); the wall of the mosque of Kufa will be destroyed; black standards will advance from Khurasan; al-Yamani will come out in revolt; al-Maghribi will appear in Egypt and take possession of it from Syria; the Turk will occupy the region of al-Jazira; the Byzantines will occupy Ramla; the star will appear in the east giving light just like the moon gives light; then (the new moon) will bend until its two tips almost meet; a colour will appear in the sky and spread to its horizons; a fire will appear for a long time in the east remaining in the air for three or seven days; the Arabs will throw off the reins and take possession of their land, throwing out the foreign authority; the people of Egypt will kill their ruler and destroy Syria; and three standards will dispute over it (Syria)…<\/p>\n The Abbasids will dispute; a voice will call from the sky; one of the villages of Syria called al-Jabiyya will be swallowed up; the Turks will occupy the region of al-Jazira; the Byzantines will attack al-Ramla; at that time there will be much conflict throughout the land until Syria is destroyed.<\/p>\n (Kitab al Irshad Chapter: The Twelfth Imam (Peace be on him) Page (s): 541 – 548 Published by Tehrike Tersile Qura’n. His name will be Muhammad and his father name will be Abdullah. He is a descendant from Ali and Fatima (daughter of the prophet Muhammad) so he will be descendant from al-Hasan or al-Hussain or both. The Mehdi will be very just and his capital will be Damascus. The Mehdi is NOT a prophet but he is the final Rightly Guided Khalifah. The Mehdi will lead Muslims to a great victory against the Sufyaani and the Romans.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n While the King of the South (Daniel 11:40) may use part of ruined Damascus as a capital for a time (other Islamists have stated that Jerusalem will be the capital, e.g. TW: Muslim Brotherhood Leader in Egypt Wants \u2018United States of the Arabs\u2019 and Then Jerusalem<\/a>), the Bible shows that he will not defeat the Romans–the King of the South will be defeated (Daniel 11:40-43).<\/p>\n But before that defeat happens, Iran may encourage Syria to engage Israel as Israel keeps suggesting that it will attack Iran (Israel Says it is Willing to Take on Iran Alone<\/a>) and possibly Syria (Israel Declares Another \u201cRed Line\u201d That Would Cause it to Take Military Action Against Syria<\/a>).<\/p>\n The goal of the Iranian revolution according to its current president was to prepare the way for the Imam Mahdi.\u00a0 And it believes that it will take conflict with Israel to do so, and has indicated that it will take steps to cause this conflict (see Iran\u2019s Ahmadinejad to Conquer Jerusalem?<\/a>).<\/p>\n As far as possible timing, notice a Shi’ite prophecy involving the Imam Mahdi (that was published in Iran a few years ago) as shown in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a>:<\/p>\n According to a commentary by Amir Taheri\u00a0in Forbes<\/em>, there is an amazing old Shi\u2019ite prophecy that some in Iran believe seems to fit Barack Hussein Obama\u00a0personally:<\/p>\n Is Barack Obama\u00a0the \u201cpromised warrior<\/strong>\u201d coming to help the Hidden Imam<\/strong>\u00a0of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?<\/p>\n \u2026a pro-government Web site published a Hadith\u00a0(or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.<\/p>\n According to the tradition, Imam<\/strong>\u00a0Ali Ibn Abi-Talib<\/strong>\u00a0(the prophet\u2019s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied<\/strong> that at the End of Times<\/strong> and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a \u201ctall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.\u201d Commanding \u201cthe strongest army on earth,\u201d the new ruler in the West will carry \u201ca clear sign\u201d from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: \u201cShiites should have no doubt that he is with us<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n In a curious coincidence Obama\u2019s first and second names\u2013Barack Hussein\u2013mean \u201cthe blessing of Hussein\u201d in Arabic\u00a0and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means \u201che is with us,\u201d the magic formula in Majlisi\u2019s tradition.<\/p>\n Because we are near the end of times and<\/em> Barack Hussein Obama\u00a0is considered to be black and <\/em>he is now the new “ruler in the West” and <\/em>he does lead the” strongest army on earth”, it makes sense that a lot of Shi\u2019ite Muslims apparently believe that he may fit that Islamic\u00a0prophecy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The situation in the Middle East is tense and many will rely, to a degree, with their understanding of Islamic to make decisions, including probably military ones.\u00a0 Since this is the first time in history that a ruler in the West is in charge of the ” strongest army on earth” is black, this may motivate the Iranians to make a move soon–and possibly a move involving Syria.\u00a0 And if that occurs, it will not work out well for Syria’s leader.\u00a0 The fact that Barack Obama has made public statements that he is not with Iran (or Syria) is not likely to interfere with Iranian plans.<\/p>\n Although Syria’s President does not necessarily accept Iranian prophetic interpretations of prophecy and does not want to leave office, the situation in Syria must change.<\/p>\n Partially because of the internal civil war, Syria’s President may decide that attacking Israel, probably in conjunction with support from Iran, is his best option. It will not be, though he may do that.
