COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n In his latest commentary Wyatt Ciesielka from the Living Church of God<\/a> had the following:<\/p>\n Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom<\/strong> of God<\/em> (Mark 1:14). Jesus continued throughout all the cities and villages, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom<\/strong><\/em> (Matthew 9:35). Instructing His disciples about signs preceding His Second Coming, Jesus warned that although false ministers would deceive many (Matthew 24:11), the true Gospel of the kingdom<\/strong><\/em> would be preached to the entire world (v. 14)! Scripture makes plain that the focus of the true Gospel is the coming kingdom<\/strong> of God!<\/em>Yet, how terribly neglected is this powerful message of Christ\u2019s literal return by so many of today\u2019s churches!But, does this mean that Jesus is not<\/em> part of the Gospel? Absolutely not! While the Gospel is primarily<\/em> about the coming Kingdom of God<\/em>, it is unscriptural, illogical and impossible<\/em> for Christ not to be part of that message! Don\u2019t believe people\u2019s opinions<\/em> about this! Holy Scripture makes it absolutely evident that the true Gospel includes both<\/em> components! Simply accept what your Bible proclaims!<\/em> Notice:<\/p>\n As Tomorrow\u2019s World<\/em> Editor in Chief Dr. Roderick C. Meredith summarizes, the Gospel<\/em><\/strong> includes Jesus\u2019 role as \u201cpersonal savior<\/em><\/strong>\u201d and as \u201cour heavenly High Priest<\/em><\/strong>\u2026 Finally, the Gospel\u2019s main<\/strong><\/em> focus<\/em><\/strong> is on Christ\u2019s future<\/em> return in power and glory, as the Almighty King of kings<\/em><\/strong>, to rule this world and the entire universe under the authority of God the Father\u201d (Do You Believe the True Gospel?<\/em>, pp. 35-36).<\/p>\n As briefly demonstrated, the above is exactly<\/em> what Scripture teaches. The above is also exactly<\/em> what God\u2019s faithful ministers have always<\/em> preached!<\/p>\n Notice one of dozens of similar statements from Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong: \u201cWe must believe the Gospel<\/em><\/strong>, and that means also<\/em><\/strong> believing on Jesus Christ, the King of the Kingdom of God, and coming King of kings over all the families of the earth. It means believing in Him as personal Savior<\/em><\/strong>, as High Priest<\/em><\/strong> now, and as coming King<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (\u201cWhat is the True Gospel?,\u201d Tomorrow\u2019s World<\/em>, January 1970, p. 7).<\/p>\n We must believe<\/em> the true Gospel to receive God\u2019s grace (Mark 1:15; Ephesians 2:8-9), and Scripture indisputably<\/em> teaches that this message is primarily<\/em> about the coming Kingdom of God and includes<\/em> Jesus Christ as Savior (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Again, notice the very clear <\/em>words of Scripture: \u201cThen Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God<\/em><\/strong> and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ<\/em><\/strong> with all confidence, no one forbidding him\u201d (Acts 28:30-31).<\/p>\n Jude warns us to not<\/em> accept the teachings of \u201cungodly\u201d or \u201clewd\u201d men (licentious<\/em> or insolent<\/em> teachers) who \u201cdeny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ!\u201d (Jude 4).<\/p>\n Please don\u2019t accept human opinion<\/em> or half-truths<\/em> on this most vital subject \u2013 instead, simply prayerfully and humbly believe God\u2019s word<\/em><\/strong>.
