Berlin does not feel like an imperial city…Yet while the German capital has deliberately eschewed the trappings of imperial power, the fact is that Berlin is increasingly the de facto capital of the EU.<\/strong> Of course the EU\u2019s main institutions \u2013 the commission and the council \u2013 are still based in Brussels. But the key decisions are increasingly made in Berlin…<\/p>\n

The vital debates will take place in the Bundestag in Berlin \u2013 not in the European parliament. Who does the International Monetary Fund call about the euro crisis? The most important conversations take place with the German government and the European Central Bank in Frankfurt \u2013 not the European Commission.<\/p>\n

This shift in power from Brussels to Berlin has been accelerated by the euro crisis…<\/p>\n

This steady accretion of power to Germany is greeted with ambivalence in Berlin. The Bible shows that certain descendants of ancient Assyria dominate part of the world scene and takeover certain descendants of Israel (it is possible that the USA is considered to be Samaria in certain end time prophecies):<\/p>\n

5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger
\nAnd the staff in whose hand is My indignation.
\n6 I will send him against an ungodly nation,
\nAnd against the people of My wrath
\nI will give him charge,
\nTo seize the spoil, to take the prey,
\nAnd to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

\nBut it is in his heart to destroy,
\nAnd cut off not a few nations.

So, according to Bible prophecy, an Assyrian-descended power, who does not intend to take over various nations, will do so anyway.\u00a0 Various historical records suggest that at least some of the Germanic peoples have Assyrian ancestry.<\/p>\n

The Bible itself\u00a0 also shows that despite its fragility (cf. Daniel 2:41-43), a European-based power is destined to temporarily be the most dominant force in the world, ultimately conquer the Anglo-descended nations (Daniel 11:39), and later come to its end (Daniel 11:45).<\/p>\n

Germany’s influence is rising and more and more are starting to notice it.<\/p>\n
