The voters of the United States re-elected Barack Obama as president, kept the US Senate under Democratic party control, and the US House of Representatives under Republican party control.\u00a0 Basically, this means that the voters decided to continue down the same basic direction that the USA has been on the past two-four years.<\/p>\n

Here are two opposing\u00a0 news items about the re-election of Barack Obama (the first seemingly favors his re-election, the second does not seem to):<\/p>\n

The people have spoken. President Obama<\/a> has won a chance to move beyond the stunted progress of his first term and, perhaps, become a historic president. On the losing side, the Republican Party<\/a> remains shut out of the White House<\/a> and has blown a chance to take over the U.S. Senate<\/a>, largely because it catered to the narrow concerns of tea party<\/a> zealots and social conservatives who imagined themselves as the only authentic Americans but who are, in fact, way out of step with most of the people in this country.<\/p>\n

If Republicans fail to learn the lesson of this election they are fools…Obama was reelected by a coalition representing what the United States is becoming. \u00a0http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/politics\/topoftheticket\/la-na-tt-obama-victory-20121106,0,2145466.story<\/a><\/p>\n

November 6, 2012<\/p>\n

America has decisively turned the corner away from the constitutional principles of limited government and self-government with the re-election of Barack Obama.<\/p>\n

There may be no way home for us.<\/p>\n

For those of us who fundamentally reject Obama\u2019s policies, things are going to get very rough for the next four years. We have allowed our fellow Americans to pronounce judgment on the nation…<\/p>\n

But, at the end of the day, people generally get the kind of government they deserve.<\/p>\n

When you turn away from the ways of God Almighty, this is what you should expect, if you are a student of the Bible and history.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not going to lie to you. I think things are going to get very tough in America over the next four years….<\/strong>http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2012\/11\/america-pronounces-judgment-on-itself\/<\/span><\/a><\/code><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Interestingly, when I read the complete articles above, both of the authors seem to believe that the USA will improve.\u00a0 The first author believes it will basically improve now and the second author seemingly after Barack Obama is out of office.\u00a0 I believe the USA is going down a path where its primary direction will not be one of improvement.<\/p>\n

The voters of the USA decided, overall, to go down a similar path, which likely means more debt, more moral decline, more regulation, and continued periodic governmental gridlock.\u00a0 And those who pay the disproportionate share of the taxes in the United States will be expected to pay more taxes, and probably starting in several weeks.<\/p>\n

That being said, let me state that Barack Obama is not the final Antichrist like some on the internet have claimed.<\/p>\n

Yes, I do believe that Barack Obama is “apocalyptic,” meaning that he has and will take steps that will lead to the destruction of the United States–although I do not believe that the great tribulation will begin until AFTER his next term ends.\u00a0 Also, perhaps it needs to be made clear that I also was not an endorser of Mormon<\/a> Mitt Romney (see, for example, Voting for the Lesser of Two Evils is Still not Good<\/a>, Romney and Obama on \u2018Social Issues\u2019<\/a>, and US Presidential Election Tomorrow: Pray and Fast<\/a>) and did not believe he would be able to lead the USA away from its accelerating path to destruction.<\/p>\n

As far as Barack Obama goes, notice some quotes from my September 2012 book Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States<\/a> (edition 1.1):<\/p>\n

Catholic Cardinal Stafford (while head of the Apostolic Penitentiary of the Holy Se<\/em>e\u00a0[i]<\/a>) claimed that Barack Obama\u00a0was \u201caggressive, disruptive, and apocalyptic.\u201c\u00a0 Notice what he reported in November 2008:<\/p>\n

Barack Obama… asserted, \u201cWe are not only going to win this election but also we are going to transform this nation………The first thing I will do as President is to sign The Freedom of Choice Act……..I put Roe at the center of my lesson plan on reproductive freedom when I taught Constitutional Law………..On this issue I will not yield<\/em>..\u201d… The content and rhetoric of Obama and Biden have elements similar to those described earlier: aggressive, disruptive and apocalyptic…My use of the word \u201capocalyptic\u201d would be emphatically biblical, rooted in the understanding of the Book of the Apocalypse.[ii]<\/a><\/p>\n

Here are seventeen specific reasons indicating that President Barack Obama\u00a0is \u201capocalyptic\u201d:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The timing of his election.\u00a0 It may be that only two or so presidential terms are left before the start of the Great Tribulation\u00a0and the fulfillment of related prophecies in the Book of Revelation (called the Apocalypse <\/em>by some Catholics).\u00a0 Barack Obama\u2019s very presence (as well as his planned and unplanned actions) should be enough to enable the fulfillment of various end-time prophecies.<\/li>\n
  2. As one with a Luo\u00a0Kenyan\u00a0father, Barack Obama\u00a0may<\/em> be part of the fulfillment of Deuteronomy 28:43.<\/li>\n
  3. Since the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973, the U.S.A.\u00a0switched from being a creditor nation and instead has become the greatest debtor nation in the history of humankind\u2014perhaps this is resulting in a biblical curse?\u00a0 \u00a0Because the U.S.A. owes alien nations trillions of dollars, it appears that the curse in Deuteronomy 28:44 of having to borrow from aliens is happening now.\u00a0 President Barack Obama\u00a0has put forth economic policies that will (for at least several years) greatly increase that debt.\u00a0 Yet, increasing national debt like he had will lead to destruction at the appointed time\u00a0of the end (Habakkuk\u00a02:3\u20138).\u00a0\u00a0 Others will not be able to reverse enough of the debt to stop Habakkuk 2:3-8 from being fulfilled.<\/li>\n
  4. Barack Obama\u00a0has often pledged increased cooperation with the Europeans.\u00a0 And while cooperation is normally a good thing, this particular cooperation is leading to the rise of the prophesied King of the North, who is to be the final leader of the Beast\u00a0of Revelation (Revelation 13:1).\u00a0 Unlike previous U.S.\u00a0administrations, President Obama\u2019s administration has declared that it will encourage and support increases in Europe\u2019s own military, far beyond what Presidents Bush or Clinton were willing to consider.[iii]<\/a>\u00a0 These policies are helping enable the rise of the King of the North\/Beast power who will be in league with the final Antichrist.<\/li>\n
  5. Barack Obama\u00a0has called for increased dialogue with those considered enemies of the U.S.A.\u00a0 As mentioned earlier, even some Shi\u2019ite Muslims believe that his presidency may lead to the rise of their Mahdi\u00a0who seems to be the same person that the Bible calls the King of the South.\u00a0 His political support of groups associated with the mainly Sunni Muslim Brotherhood will help lead to the formation of the final King of the South of Bible prophecy, even if he takes steps that many in the Islamic world disagree with.<\/li>\n
  6. Because of domestic economic concerns and international pressures, Barack Obama is shifting priorities away from defense spending,[iv]<\/a> while encouraging the Europeans\u00a0to increase their military might.[v]<\/a>\u00a0 This trend is expected to continue, and will help lead to the destruction of the United States, when the Europeans are ready and the U.S.A. is not (more on the reduction in relative U.S. nuclear power under Barack Obama is shown in Appendix A).<\/li>\n
  7. Instead of completely strengthening the U.S. Global Positioning System (GPS), Barack Obama’s Administration instead decided to rely on Europe’s upcoming Galileo \u201cGPS\u201d for part of the U.S.A.’s military defense.[vi]<\/a>\u00a0 This would appear to give the rising European power a unique offensive and defensive capability against the U.S.A. (cf. Daniel 11:39; Revelation 13:3-4).\u00a0 It is dangerous to have a potential enemy control portions of one\u2019s military communications systems.<\/li>\n
  8. Instead of increasing the U.S.A.’s role in particle collider technology, similar to some previous administrations, Barack Obama’s Administration has greatly weakened that.\u00a0 So much so, there is only one remaining U.S. particle accelerator and it is at risk of being gutted or shut down.[vii]<\/a>\u00a0 This is an area where Europe has clearly gained the lead over the U.S.A. since Barack Obama became president.<\/li>\n
  9. Barack Obama’s debt and other economic policies are setting the United States up for food inflation and eventual food shortages.\u00a0 Food inflation is prophesied to occur in the Bible in Revelation 6:5-6.<\/li>\n
  10. Barack Obama broke a campaign pledge about requiring that genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) in foods be labeled.[viii]<\/a>\u00a0 And while he at some point in time may change on this, the fact is that he has taken steps to encourage the production and use of GMO \u201cfoods\u201d (cf. Isaiah 55:2).[ix]<\/a>\u00a0 Increased reliance on GMOs by the United States puts the nation at major risk for nearly complete crop failures.\u00a0 The Bible warns that famines (Matthew 24:7) and food shortages (Revelation 6:5-6) are coming and Barack Obama has further helped set the stage for this.<\/li>\n
  11. Barack Obama has made a variety of \u201cclass warfare\u201d comments.[x]<\/a>\u00a0 Increased civil unrest is coming to the U.S.A. and Barack Obama has helped fan the flames for this\u2014even if he is not re-elected.\u00a0 And although his Administration has sometimes encouraged and\/or accommodated the Occupy<\/em> movement,[xi]<\/a> it and\/or groups like it have and likely will turn against him and future administrations.<\/li>\n
  12. President Obama actually claimed, \u201cthe only measure of my success as president when people look back five years from now or nine years from now is going to be, did I get this economy fixed?\u2026I’m going to be judged on, have we pulled ourselves out of recession?\u201d[xii]<\/a>\u00a0 The God of the Bible expects leaders to encourage repentance\u00a0and moral behaviors when they are subject to destructive punishment (cf. Jonah 3:6-9).\u00a0 Barack Obama, like many other U.S. presidents before him, does not seem to believe that the U.S.A. needs to repent\u00a0for its sins against God, his policies seem to be focused on not relying on God.\u00a0 Yet, without national repentance, the U.S.A. is doomed for destruction (Isaiah 30:12-13; Daniel 11:39). \u00a0Of course, people are supposed to pray for political leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-3), and that should be done irrespective if one agrees with the leader.\u00a0 Sometimes, leaders and\/or their policies change.<\/li>\n
  13. The Bible tells of having the gates of enemies as a blessing (Genesis 24:60).\u00a0 Losing sea gates would be consistent with being an end time curse.\u00a0 Barack Obama seems to be the first president in U.S. history to significantly back giving the \u201csea gate\u201d of the Falkland Islands to Argentina, which is a position in dramatic opposition to the residents of the Falklands.[xiii]<\/a><\/li>\n
  14. By focusing too much on threats from China and almost always considering the Europeans as allies, Barack Obama has helped put Australia at risk from China[xiv]<\/a> and the U.S.A. from Europe.<\/li>\n
  15. Various regulations from the Obama Administration are contributing to an environment of self-censorship and government censorship.\u00a0 A \u201cfamine\u201d of the word is prophesied (Amos 8:11) and the Obama Administration may impose broadcast, print, Internet, and\/or restrictions.<\/li>\n
  16. By encouraging and not discouraging aspects of immorality (such as abortion and homosexual unions), Barack Obama is setting the U.S.A. up for punishment (Isaiah 30:12-13; Romans 1:18-32) that has and will include troubles, violence, weather problems, earthquakes, food shortages, and pestilences (Mark 13:7-8; Luke 21:10-11).\u00a0 These problems will worsen.<\/li>\n
  17. On May 23 2012, Barack Obama claimed to see an end to the wars of the past decade and then said \u201dNow, we can see the light of a new day on the horizon.\u201d[xv]<\/a> This sounds a lot like New-Age double-speak for declaring being at the dawn of an age of peace.\u00a0 The Bible warns repeatedly that false declarations of peace will lead to end time destruction (1 Thessalonians 5:3; Jeremiah 6:14-15).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Habakkuk\u00a02 makes clear that at the appointed time\u00a0of the end, a great borrowing people will be destroyed (Habakkuk 2:3-8).\u00a0 Something similar is in Deuteronomy 28:42-51.\u00a0 No nation in the history of humankind has ever accumulated as much debt as the United States of America\u00a0(because the U.K. may have close to the highest amount of per capita debt,[xvi]<\/a> its fate would seem to be similar). \u00a0Yet, the relationship between debt accumulation and prophesied destruction remains unapparent to many.<\/p>\n

    And although President Obama\u00a0inherited a debt-laden nation, his policies, according to his own public pronouncements, have lead and will continue to lead to greatly increased U.S.A.\u00a0debt.\u00a0 These increases of debt are likely to continue past the point of no return and become one of the final factors that will cause creditors to rise up and destroy the U.S.A.<\/p>\n

    It seems clear that during his presidency, Barack Obama\u00a0has been an apocalyptic enabler in the sense that his policies are helping lead to the rise of the prophesied final Kings of the North and South that Daniel 11 discusses, while weakening the U.S.A. militarily, morally, economically, and agriculturally.\u00a0 Nothing from his administration thus far suggests that he will call for meaningful massive repentance\u00a0and turning back to God.<\/p>\n

    Therefore, President Obama\u00a0(who is now U.S.A.\u00a0President and perhaps will be until 2017) is apocalyptic.<\/p>\n

    Of course, it is not only the United States that needs repentance\u00a0as God \u201cnow commands all men everywhere to repent\u201d (Acts 17:30).<\/p>\n
