Approving Immorality in Auckland<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/strong>As New Zealand\u2019s Parliament presses ahead to legalize same-sex marriage, the nation\u2019s slide into immorality is also gaining momentum. Recently, four independent commissioners cleared the way for the construction in the heart of Auckland of a fifteen-story entertainment complex containing a number of brothels (Steve Hopkins, \u201cCentral Auckland Super Brothel Approved,\u201d<\/span><\/a> November 30, 2012). The complex will be built opposite the icon of Auckland\u2014the SkyCity Tower\u2014that stands in the heart of the city. No longer are such \u201cshady businesses\u201d hidden on some back street, they are now openly available in the middle of the city! Despite more than 200 public submissions against the brothel, the commissioners gave their approval to the complex, ignoring moral concerns and stating that they did not \u201csee how the proposed brothel could be said to\u2026 cause a nuisance of serious offence to ordinary members of the public\u201d (ibid.<\/em>). Although the governmental system of New Zealand may not have a problem with sexual immorality and prostitution, the God of the Bible certainly does (see Proverbs 23:27-28). Prostitution was forbidden in ancient Israel with a stern warning to obey the laws of God, \u201clest the land fall into harlotry, and\u2026 become full of wickedness\u201d (Leviticus 19:29). Tragically, New Zealand is following America and Britain in a downward plunge into publicly sanctioned immorality and selfish gratification. Thankfully, this slide into immorality will be stopped and reversed by the return of Jesus Christ.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There were other societies that have had their own issues of openly advocating sin relationships that their residents seemed to view as acceptable. Notice what happened in a couple of such towns between three thousand and four thousand years ago:<\/p>\n

24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And why did it happen?<\/p>\n

7 as Sodom and Gomorrah<\/strong>, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example<\/strong>, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why mention this in the 21st century? Because God turned:<\/p>\n

6\u2026the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes<\/strong>, condemned them to destruction, making them an example<\/strong> to those who afterward would live ungodly (2 Peter 2:6,
\nNKJV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

National repentance is the only real long-term hope for the Anglo-peoples (and it seems to be too late for that), otherwise they face destruction:<\/p>\n

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause you despise this word, And trust in oppression and perversity<\/strong>, And rely on them,\u00a013 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you Like a breach ready to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.\u00a0 (Isaiah 30:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Keeping the Ten Commandments reflects love. Breaking them and\/or condoning those that do is evil. This should be clear to those who believe the God of the Bible. Children should be raised by God-fearing heterosexual couples–for God wants godly offspring:<\/p>\n

4…Because the Lord has been witness Between you and the wife of your youth…Yet she is your companion
\nAnd your wife by covenant. 15 But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one?
\nHe seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. (Malachi 2:14-15)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Same-sex unions are not endorsed in the Bible and were not what God intended humans to be in to raise children.<\/p>\n

But New Zealand does not seem inclined to truly listen to those who are strongly advocating changes in the moral direction of the land. Nor do those in Australia or the other Anglo-dominated lands.<\/p>\n
