COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n Hospitals in the USA are being impacted by another type of antibiotic resistant bacteria:<\/p>\n The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has said that although it is still quite unusual, more and more hospitals in the U.S. are reporting cases of the superbug carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae or CRE…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Thomas Frieden, MD, the Director of the CDC said the CRE was the nightmare bacteria, partly because the organisms transmit elements that are antibiotic resistant to other types of bacteria and when the CRE attacks blood it often times kills…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n In Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis and Atlanta, a pilot program that involved labs found, that over 92% of the cases of CRE over a period of five months in 2011 were found in patients that had substantial healthcare exposures.<\/p>\n Although still relatively uncommon, the CRE episodes are usually fatal more often than other forms of infections that are antibiotic resistant. Death rates for CRE infections in the bloodstream are over 40%. \u00a0http:\/\/www.healthaim.com\/u-s-hospitals-hit-by-superbug\/<\/a><\/p>\n 6 March 2013<\/p>\n Officials of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are concerned about a family of untreatable bacteria, or superbugs, that are currently spreading through America\u2019s hospitals, and are not too optimistic as to whether this family of bacteria can be stopped in time.<\/p>\n \u201cThese are nightmare bacteria that present a triple threat,\u201d explained CDC director Thomas Frieden. \u201cThey\u2019re resistant to nearly all antibiotics. They have high mortality rates, killing half of people with serious infections. And they can spread their resistance to other bacteria.\u201d\u00a0 The superbug in question is known as CRE, or carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, and has only been detected so far in hospitals and nursing homes; fortunately, it has yet to be detected outside a health facility environment.\u00a0 However, if the superbugs are not controlled soon, Frieden believes that even the most common forms of minor infection may not be treatable anymore. \u00a0http:\/\/eaglesrant.com\/cdc-gives-heads-up-on-untreatable-bacteria-spreading-through-u-s-hospitals\/4068\/belinda-volter<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Excessive use of antibiotics and other improper practices are part of the physical reason for increases in antibiotic resistant bacteria.<\/p>\n From a spiritual perspective, here are some of the reasons that the Bible gives for terror and pestilences:<\/p>\n 14 \u2018But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you:<\/p>\n I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart.\u00a0 And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-17)<\/p>\n 21 \u2018Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.\u00a0 22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.<\/p>\n 23 \u2018And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins.\u00a0 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. (Leviticus 26:21-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n 7\u2026And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places<\/strong>. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We seem to be in the time Jesus called \u201cthe beginning of sorrows.\u201d There have been \u201cearthquakes in various places\u201d this year.
