It is a hybrid of Oregon’s first-in-the-nation law and something less restrictive. \u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2013\/05\/20\/vermont-physician-assisted-death-bill\/2343481\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Notice what the Bible warns about that type of leadership:<\/p>\n 12<\/sup>\u2026O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths (Isaiah 3:12).<\/p>\n 16 <\/sup>For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).<\/p>\n 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.\u00a0 (Romans 1:32)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Perhaps I should add that the idea of physician-assisted suicide is also a violation of the Hippocratic oath that medical doctors used to take (and it originally prohibited assisting in causing abortion).\u00a0 “Dr. Death,” shown at the beginning of this post, is the late Dr. Jack Kevorkian, who long advocated physician-assisted suicide.<\/p>\n The Bible teaches that one is not to murder (Exodus 20:13).\u00a0 And that includes murdering oneself.\u00a0 Notice also the following:<\/p>\n Is suicide a crime?…<\/strong><\/p>\n God commands: \u201cTHOU SHALT NOT KILL\u201d (the sixth commandment). Webster defines the word kill as \u201cto deprive of life.\u201d To commit suicide, then, is breaking one of the Ten Commandments -and is definitely condemned by God. Paul admonishes us saying, \u201cKnow you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?<\/p>\n If any man DESTROY (KJV margin) the temple of God, him shall God DESTROY; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are\u201d (1 Cor. 3 : 16, 17 ) . \u201cWhat, know you not that your BODY is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?\u201d (I Cor. 6: 19). No murderer-or suicide-has eternal life abiding in him (I John 3: 15). He has no hope unless and until in the general resurrection after the millennium he repents of his sin (Matthew 11 :20-24).
