A report released today from UCLA expresses concerns about the economy and future of the USA:<\/p>\n

The country’s tepid growth in its gross domestic product isn’t creating enough good jobs to build a strong middle class, according to a UCLA<\/a> report released Wednesday…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The report, which analyzed long-term trends of past recoveries, found that the long-anticipated “Great Recovery” has not yet materialized.<\/p>\n

Real GDP growth \u2014 the value of goods and services produced after adjusting for inflation \u2014 is 15.4% below the 3% growth trend of past recoveries, wrote Edward Leamer, director of the UCLA Anderson Forecast. More robust growth will be necessary to bring this recovery in line with previous ones.<\/p>\n

“It’s not a recovery,” he wrote. “It’s not even normal growth. It’s bad.”<\/p>\n

That has long-term implications in the face of technological advancements that continue displacing workers, Leamer said. And the country’s education system isn’t adequately developing the workforce of the future, he said.<\/p>\n

“Regrettably we reward teachers if their students can regurgitate the information on standardized tests,” he wrote. LOS ANGELES \u2014 An economic forecast says the country\u2019s expected \u201cGreat Recovery\u201d hasn\u2019t materialized and the economy\u2019s fallen short of even normal growth…It says that real gross domestic product growth \u2014 the inflation-adjusted value of goods and services produced \u2014 is well below the 3-percent growth trend of past recoveries. The forecast says the country isn\u2019t creating enough good jobs.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/new-report-says-us-hasnt-seen-expected-great-recovery-as-economy-continues-to-fall-short\/2013\/06\/05\/9c3ffa2e-cde4-11e2-8573-3baeea6a2647_story.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There are at least three points to consider.<\/p>\n

The first is that this less-than-great ‘recovery’ has been financed by more federal government debt and Federal Reserve ‘money creation’ than any in the history of humanity.\u00a0 While this type of inflating of the money supply has undoubtedly helped keep the economy moving to a degree, it is setting the USA up for massive inflation and devaluation of its currency–a modern version of biblical ‘dross.’\u00a0 The USA is heading towards destruction:<\/p>\n

21 How the faithful city has become a harlot!
\nIt was full of justice;
\nRighteousness lodged in it,
\nBut now murderers.
\n22 Your silver has become dross,
\nYour wine mixed with water.
\n23 Your princes are rebellious,
\nAnd companions of thieves;
\nEveryone loves bribes,
\nAnd follows after rewards.
\nThey do not defend the fatherless,
\nNor does the cause of the widow come before them.<\/p>\n

24 Therefore the Lord says,
\nThe Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel,
\n“Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries,
\nAnd take vengeance on My enemies.
\n25 I will turn My hand against you,
\nAnd thoroughly purge away your dross,
\nAnd take away all your alloy.
\n(Isaiah 1:21-25).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The second is that a weaker economy means that likely continued deficit spending and inflating the money supply will continue.\u00a0 At some point in time the Bible reveals that foreign creditors will rise up suddenly and this will result in the end of the great debtor:<\/p>\n

6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him,
\nAnd a taunting riddle against him, and say,
\n‘Woe to him who increases
\nWhat is not his \u2014 how long?
\nAnd to him who loads himself with many pledges’?
\n7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?
\nWill they not awaken who oppress you?
\nAnd you will become their booty.
\n8 Because you have plundered many nations,
\nAll the remnant of the people shall plunder you,
\nBecause of men’s blood
\nAnd the violence of the land and the city,
\nAnd of all who dwell in it.
\n(Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The third is that the USA is beginning to lose its technological lead.\u00a0 And while there are major problems with the European economy (see EU: Pax Europa or Civil Unrest?<\/a>), the reality is that the world’s biggest physics’ project is in Europe (CERN’s Large Hadron Collider), and other new technological projects (such as Germany’s F.A.I.R.) are also in Europe.\u00a0 With the problems that the USA economy is having, the USA will lose key elements of its military superiority and be taken over by the Europeans:<\/p>\n

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.\u00a0 (Daniel 11:39).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The “He” above is the King of the North<\/a>, the\u00a0European Beast<\/a> power.\u00a0 In the 21st century, at this time, it is the USA that has the “strongest fortresses,” yet Bible prophecy shows that power will be defeated and its lands divided (a related video would be Will the USA and other Anglo-nations be Divided and Their People Made Slaves?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Now, this does not mean that the USA may not have certain technologies, agricultural advancements, and energy advancements that will help it continue to some time.<\/p>\n

But slower economic growth does mean that the USA will have to make tough decisions that will lead to the end of its dominance in the world.<\/p>\n

Despite its military strength (which is getting affected by the debt situation as well as homosexuality, abortion, pornography, etc.), destruction is coming to the USA (Daniel 11:39; Habakkuk 2:6-8; Isaiah 1:21-25).<\/p>\n
