La mayor\u00eda de los \u00e1rabes son musulmanes sunnitas (pa\u00edses como Ir\u00e1n e Irak son principalmente musulmanes shi\u2019itas; Siria tiene un l\u00edder musulm\u00e1n shi\u2019ita, su Presidente Assad, si bien la mayor\u00eda de los sirios son sunnitas).
