(CNN)<\/strong> — The White House is preparing to introduce legislation that would end part of the National Security Agency’s bulk phone records data collection program, a senior administration official told CNN.<\/p>\n

The Obama administration’s decision follows a lengthy review of surveillance activities at the NSA after disclosures of the government’s signal intelligence program by the former U.S. government contractor Edward Snowden.<\/p>\n

A senior administration official said President Barack Obama will unveil the proposal “in the coming days.”<\/p>\n

“The President … will put forward a sound approach to ensuring the government no longer collects or holds this data, but still ensures that the government has access to the information it needs to meet the national security needs his team has identified,” the official said. \u00a0http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2014\/03\/25\/politics\/white-house-nsa\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Congress’ serial fabricator has the audacity to call his new law the ‘End Bulk Collection Act’. Obama’s proposal isn’t much better<\/em><\/p>\n

The White House<\/a> and the House Intelligence Committee<\/a> leaked dueling proposals last night that are supposedly aimed at ending the mass collection of all Americans\u2019 phone records. But the devil is in the details, and when it comes to the National Security Agency\u2019s unique ability to twist<\/a> and distort<\/a> the English language, the devil tends to wrap his horns around every word…<\/p>\n

While the full draft of the bill isn\u2019t yet public, the Guardian has seen a copy<\/a>, and its description does not inspire confidence. Under the Rogers and Ruppersberger proposal, slyly named the \u201cEnd Bulk Collection Act\u201d, the telephone companies would hold on to phone data. But the government could search data from those companies based on “reasonable articulable suspicion” that someone is an agent of a foreign power, associated with an agent of a foreign power, or “in contact with, or known to, a suspected agent of a foreign power”. The NSA\u2019s current phone records program is restricted to a reasonable articulable suspicion of terrorism…<\/p>\n

The administration\u2019s plan would supposedly end the collection of phone records by the NSA, without requiring a dangerous new data retention mandate for the phone companies, while restricting analysis to the current rules around terrorism and, importantly, still requiring a judge to sign off on each phone-record search made to the phone companies \u2013 under what the New York Times described<\/a> as “a new kind of court order”.<\/p>\n

This phone plan, apparently, represents Obama coming full-circle as his self-imposed deadline on NSA reform arrives Friday, when the court order authorizing bulk collection runs out. But there\u2019s no indication that the president’s plan would stop other types of bulk collection \u2013 such as internet or financial records \u2013 and there\u2019s still a big question about what the NSA could do with the data they receive on innocent people two “hops” away from a suspect. \u00a0http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2014\/mar\/25\/house-nsa-bill-end-bulk-collection-act-reform<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At this stage, the reality is that the damage has been done and USA hypocrisy on some of this has been exposed–and this will not end up well for the USA nor its Anglo-Saxon-Celtic allies (cf. Isaiah 10:5-11, KJV).<\/p>\n

The reality is that because of the Snowden disclosures, the USA has agreed to share intelligence, espionage, and data collection techniques with the Europeans. As well intentioned as that MIGHT be from the USA and Europe, the reality is that this will be a disaster for the world.<\/p>\n

The Bible warns that a power will arise in Europe and takeover the land with the strongest fortresses and divide it for gain (Daniel 11:39). The Bible also teaches that the world will marvel that the European Beast power was able to do this (Revelation 13:1-4). The Bible also warns that this European power will seek to force worship and control the economy (Revelation 13:15-18)–possibly partially because of steps and regulations that it learned from the USA and UK.<\/div>\n

Because of what the USA and UK have done, and the fact that USA President Obama has declared that he would share espionage secrets, techniques, and findings with the Europeans in general and the Germans in particular, this is setting the stage for even greater surveillance which will come from the emerging Beast power in Europe (Revelation 13:16-18). Edward Snowden’s disclosures have pointed out USA government hypocrisy and constitutional violations more than any one else in some time.<\/p>\n

The relatively minor ‘reforms’ proposed will not reverse the sense of betrayal that those in Europe have from this (and the Ukrainian\/Crimean matters) and Europe will take actions.<\/p>\n

Those in the USA who believe that they will truly end up with more privacy have more faith in its government than I have.<\/p>\n
