The National Academy of Sciences has concluded that Chinese air pollution is a factor in increasing the intensity of storms in North America:<\/p>\n

Pollution from China’s coal-burning power plants is pumping up winter storms over the northwest Pacific Ocean and changing North America’s weather, a new study finds.<\/p>\n

Northwest Pacific winter storms are now 10 percent stronger than they were 30 years ago, before Asian countries began their industrial boom, according to research published April 14 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n

North America will be hardest hit by the intensifying storms, which move from west to east, said lead study author Yuan Wang, an atmospheric scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.<\/p>\n

“The increasing pollution in Asian countries is not just a local problem, it can affect other parts of the world,” Wang told Live Science.<\/p>\n

Aerosol emissions have rapidly increased in Asia in recent decades. For example, China is now the world’s largest coal consumer, and in Beijing, air pollution levels have soared 400 times higher than World Health Organization limits. In contrast, aerosols from North America and Europe have meanwhile decreased, because of clean air regulations. \u00a0http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/science\/2014\/04\/15\/pollution-from-asia-strengthening-storms-in-north-america-study-finds\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those who think that Chinese pollution is a problem limited to Chinese air and water, that is not truly so. Polluted Chinese rivers flow into the ocean, and thus affect everyone. Furthermore, polluted Chinese air directly affects neighboring countries in Asia, such as South Korea and Japan (see also China\u2019s smog choking Japan<\/a>). In addition, I recall seeing a report some time back that if Chinese air pollution continued growing at the rate it had been that the West Coast of the USA would have unhealthy particulate pollution levels just from what comes across the the ocean from China, even if there was no human caused pollution in California, for example. The threat from Chinese air pollution is that serious.<\/p>\n

Yet, it should be noted that North America buys a lot from China.\u00a0 Despite having air pollution laws in the USA and Canada, a lot of goods in these countries come from Asia, and China, which does not have the same degree of enforcement for air pollution laws.\u00a0 The USA and Canada can decide to overlook this, but they are reaping part of what they have sown (cf. Galatians 6:7).<\/p>\n

Yesterday’s national evening news showed a variety of storms, tornadoes, and odd weather patterns hitting and expected to hit the USA and parts of Canada this month. Years ago, I warned of weather problems coming.<\/p>\n

Back in 2009, my book, 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/em>, I wrote that the following was about to happen:<\/p>\n

Record heat and odd weather problems should serve as a wake-up call.<\/p>\n

Weather problems were prophesied to come as the result of sin:<\/p>\n

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: 16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. 17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 18 “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out. 20 “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. 21 The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. 24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed<\/strong>. (Deuteronomy 28:15-24)<\/p>\n

10 “Because, indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying, ‘Peace!’ when there is no peace \u2014 and one builds a wall, and they plaster it with untempered mortar \u2014 11 say to those who plaster it with untempered mortar, that it will fall. There will be flooding rain, and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall tear it down. 12 Surely, when the wall has fallen, will it not be said to you, ‘Where is the mortar with which you plastered it?'” 13 Therefore thus says the Lord God: “I will cause a stormy wind to break forth in My fury; and there shall be a flooding rain in My anger, and great hailstones in fury to consume it. 14 So I will break down the wall you have plastered with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered; it will fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst of it. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 13:10-14)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that the Bible shows that God uses weather to warn people to turn to Him, but many ignore this:<\/p>\n

17 I struck you with blight and mildew and hail in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me,’ says the Lord.\u00a0 (Haggai 2:17)<\/p>\n

7 “I also withheld rain from you,
\nWhen there were still three months to the harvest.
\nI made it rain on one city,
\nI withheld rain from another city.
\nOne part was rained upon,
\nAnd where it did not rain the part withered.
\n8 So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water,
\nBut they were not satisfied;
\nYet you have not returned to Me,”
\nSays the Lord.<\/p>\n

9 “I blasted you with blight and mildew.
\nWhen your gardens increased,
\nYour vineyards,
\nYour fig trees,
\nAnd your olive trees,
\nThe locust devoured them;
\nYet you have not returned to Me,”
\nSays the Lord. (Amos 4:7-9)<\/p>\n

21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.\u00a0 (Revelation 16:21)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible shows:<\/p>\n

30 God…commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And weather-problems are one way that God uses to urge people to repent (cf. Haggai 2:17; Amos 4:7-12).<\/p>\n

Now, does this mean that those most affected by weather are necessarily worse sinners than those less affected?<\/p>\n

The biblical answer is no.<\/p>\n

Notice the words of Jesus:<\/p>\n

45…He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matthew 5:45)<\/p>\n

4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (Luke 13:4-5)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God uses weather and other events to warn people.\u00a0 Sins, such as societal acceptance of homosexuality (see The Bible Condemns Homosexuality<\/a>) and other forms of sexual immorality (Romans 1:18-32; see also Pornography: A scourge on society<\/a>) can affect weather (Amos 4:7-12).<\/p>\n

As far as pollution goes, the following passage which involves the second coming of Jesus, and comes from the book also known as the Apocalypse, ends with an interesting statement:<\/p>\n

8 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,
\nAnd the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
\nAnd that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
\nAnd those who fear Your name, small and great,
\nAnd should destroy those who destroy the earth. (Revelation 11:18)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Are not massive air, water, and other pollution problems part of how humankind is destroying the earth? In a sense, pollution will be a factor in the Apocalypse as the above passage shows.<\/p>\n

Jesus will need to return to save humanity from destroying itself (Matthew 24:22).\u00a0 Weather patterns are part of the warning message.\u00a0 Are you paying attention to those messages?<\/p>\n
