Last night, ICG’s<\/a> Mark Armstrong reported:<\/em><\/p>\n

Pakistan has a nuclear arsenal.\u00a0 The country is politically unstable and there is news this week indicating that Al Qaeda is turning its attention toward Pakistan.\u00a0 <\/font><\/p>\n

Iran is spinning the centrifuges, enriching uranium, and elements within our own government have tried to tie the President\u2019s hands, insisting that Iran \u201chalted\u201d its nuclear weapons development in 2003, a program they consistently claimed never existed.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/font><\/p>\n

It seems now like it\u2019s a matter of \u201cwhen\u201d rather than \u201cif\u201d nuclear weapons can be deployed by elements of radical Islam.\u00a0 Maybe it\u2019ll be a couple of years, maybe more depending on whom you believe, unless there\u2019s intervention.\u00a0 It could happen sooner if things should go wrong in Pakistan.\u00a0 <\/font><\/p>\n

Many of the dominoes have lined up for Europe, but by no means all.\u00a0 They\u2019ve got a common currency, a serious Muslim problem, and a German Pope.\u00a0 But they have in recent years elected surprisingly conservative politicians, apparently in an attempt to reverse the ravages decades of socialism have wrought.\u00a0 I\u2019m amazed to see a French president who\u2019s more pragmatic and pro-American than many of our own candidates.
\nDespite the advent and success of the EURO currency, Europe has not yet become the strong political and military power of Bible prophecy.\u00a0 <\/font><\/p>\n

Despite threats to Israel\u2019s continued existence, no entity fitting the description of the prophesied \u201cking of the South\u201d has yet emerged.\u00a0 Could it be Iran?\u00a0 Will Al Qaeda gain acceptance throughout the Islamic nations and fulfill that role?\u00a0 Could it be\u2026?\u00a0 Fact is, time will tell, and we just don\u2019t know yet.<\/font><\/p>\n

What about America?\u00a0 While the prophetic scenario has not fully developed, we should remember that the United States doesn\u2019t appear to be a player in the final scenario.\u00a0 A case can now be logically made that the U.S. is in greater danger from those who would lead it than from any exterior threat.
