Last night and today there have been massive solar flares:<\/p>\n

June 11, 2014<\/p>\n

On June 11, 2014, the sun erupted with its third X-class flare in two days. The flare was classified as an X1.0 and it peaked at 5:06 a.m. EDT.\u00a0 Images of the flare were captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory. All three flares originated from an active region on the sun that recently rotated into view over the left limb of the sun. http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/content\/goddard\/nasas-sdo-sees-a-summer-solar-flare\/index.html#.U5hfyCjihGO<\/a><\/p>\n

2014-06-11 10:56\u00a0UTC\u00a0\u00a0Region 2087 picks back up<\/strong><\/p>\n

After producing\u00a0a pair of\u00a0R3 (Strong)\u00a0Radio Blackouts<\/a>\u00a0in quick succession\u00a0yesterday morning (10\/1142 and 10\/1252 UTC), active Region 2087\u00a0produced yet another R3 event today at 11\/0906 UTC.\u00a0Impacts from this activity were short lived and affected HF communications for the daylit side of Earth at the time of the flare. Continuing chances for more events R3 or greater events exists.\u00a0\u00a0Unlike yesterday,\u00a0a Coronal Mass Ejection<\/a>\u00a0(CME) is not believed\u00a0to be associated with this latest impulsive event.\u00a0 A CME assoicated with the activity yesterday morning\u00a0has been observed\u00a0moving at a flank\u00a0from Earth and a glancing blow to Earth from this event is expected on June 13.\u00a0An outside chance of at most G1 (Minor) Geomagnetic storms\u00a0remains in the\u00a0forecast.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.swpc.noaa.gov\/<\/a><\/p>\n

June 11, 2014<\/p>\n

Humanity has once again dodged apocalypse after a solar flare failed to bring civilisation to its knees.\u00a0 NASA gives particularly huge flares the rating of X-Class, with an X2 being twice as powerful as X1 and an X3 twice as intense as X2 again…<\/p>\n

NASA explained:<\/p>\n

“Solar flares are powerful bursts of radiation. Harmful radiation from a flare cannot pass through Earth’s atmosphere to physically affect humans on the ground. However, when intense enough, they can disturb the atmosphere in the layer where GPS and communications signals travel.”<\/p>\n

Solar flares are scary because they could potentially fry electronics around the world and sending us whimpering back to the Stone Age. So far though, we’ve survived. \u00a0http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2014\/06\/11\/hallelujah_humanity_has_dodged_yet_another_apocalypse\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While solar flares will not actually cause the Apocalypse, meaning in this sense the actual start of the Great Tribulation, they certainly could result in problems that will lead to the Great Tribulation by weakening the Anglo-Saxon nations if any were significantly affected by them.<\/p>\n

Because of the dependency of Western societies on electricity, computers, etc., the West is certainly vulnerable to massive upheavals in the event of a massive solar flare or something that affects the earth electrically (electromagnetic pulse-type bombs also come to mind). I suspect that there will be major electrical sorrows and troubles before the end (cf. Mark 13:8b,c).\u00a0 But troubles of themselves are not the end (Matthew 24:6)–that comes later (Matthew 24:21).<\/p>\n

Solar storms and the related damage were discussed in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a> (which I wrote in 2009). Here are several passages related to them, which helps show what could happen if a massive solar flare-up did not miss:<\/p>\n

Notice the following from N.A.S.A.:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Solar Storm Warning<\/strong>: Researchers announced that a storm is coming\u2014the most intense solar maximum in fifty years. The prediction comes from a team led by Mausumi Dikpati of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

Solar physicist David Hathaway of the National Space Science & Technology Center (NSSTC)\u2026has confidence in the conveyor belt model and agrees with Dikpati that the next solar maximum should be a doozy. But he disagrees with one point\u2026a storm is coming.<\/p>\n

Solar outbursts have been proposed that could essentially wipe out modern civilization.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Notice a scenario that is based on a report from the U.S. National Academy of Scientists (although the precise date seems to be speculative):<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

IT IS midnight on 22 September 2012 and the skies above Manhattan are filled with a flickering curtain of colourful light\u2026Within 90 seconds, the entire eastern half of the US is without power.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

A year later and millions of Americans are dead and the nation\u2019s infrastructure lies in tatters. The World Bank declares America a developing nation. Europe, Scandinavia, China and Japan are also struggling to recover from the same fateful event \u2013 a violent storm, 150 million kilometres away on the surface of the sun\u2026<\/p>\n

According to the NAS report, a severe space weather event in the US could induce ground currents that would knock out 300 key transformers within about 90 seconds, cutting off the power for more than 130 million people\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

First to go \u2013 immediately for some people \u2013 is drinkable water\u2026With no electricity to pump water from reservoirs, there is no more\u2026There is simply no electrically powered transport: no trains, underground or overground\u2026For hospitals, that would mean about 72 hours of running a bare-bones, essential care only, service. After that, no more modern healthcare.<\/p>\n

The truly shocking finding is that this whole situation would not improve for months, maybe years\u2026<\/p>\n

There also seems to be a couple of Mayan predictions recorded in the 16th<\/sup> century that suggest some type of solar flare-up will affect the earth:<\/p>\n

Chilam Balam<\/em> (Mayan priest): Heaven and earth shall burn…It is the holy judgment, the holy judgment.<\/p>\n

Napuctun<\/em> (Mayan priest): It shall burn on earth; there shall be a circle in the sky.<\/p>\n

Another N.A.S.A.\/N.O.A.A. report has indicated that the next solar cycle peak may be later, like May 2013… The Bible itself warns of a time of scorching solar heat (Revelation 16:8-9…)…<\/p>\n

that flood and other prophecies are expected before 2030 (but after 2012)<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

Whether or not one believes secular scientists who assert that humans are causing \u201cglobal warming,\u201d and islands will be submerged, the Bible is clear that a time of high heat will happen, probably worsened by a solar flare-up of some type. It also mentions the islands being gone:<\/p>\n

8 <\/sup>Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9<\/sup> And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory\u2026every island fled away (Revelation 16:8-9, 20).<\/p>\n

The signs will be powerful. And the Babylonian power will fall during the Day of the Lord (Revelation 18:2). (Thiel B. 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a>. Nazarene Books, 2009)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, my 2012<\/em> book was right that the scorching heat and certain other prophecies would not happen until after 2012. But heat and others troubles will happen, and some heat and other weather problems have been happening.<\/p>\n

Here is something I wrote later in my book Barack Obama, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States-Second Edition for Second Obama Term<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The debt situation of the USA is putting it at risk of being unable to recover should it be hit by weather problems, terrorist acts, war, riots, solar flares, severe earthquakes, civil unrest, devastation of their genetically-modified food supplies, food shortages, and\/or various pestilences\u2013an intensity of \u201csorrows\u201d such as Jesus discussed in Matthew 24:4-8 leading up to the time of the Great Tribulation. Disasters, especially if there is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (emp) attack or a severe solar flare storm, could be part of a so-called \u201cperfect storm\u201d of events that could set the USA for destruction.<\/p>\n

Many sorrows that the U.S.A. will face, like severe weather problems, diseases and earthquakes, will happen irrespective of who is in the White House (Amos 4:7-10; Luke 21:11). Bible prophecy shows that no matter who is the next U.S.A. president (or his possible successors), the King of the North and King of the South will rise up and the U.S.A. will be ultimately destroyed unless national repentance happens. The Bible warns about a time in the Book of Revelation of solar disturbances:<\/p>\n

8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. (Revelation 16:8-9)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although at least one “2012” book has tried somewhat to tie the “solar flare” disaster into the Mayan date (Joseph LE. Apocalypse 2012: An Investigation into Civilization’s End. Broadway, 2008; and that author distanced himself from aspects of his book before the Mayan date), the prophesied real time of scorching solar heat cannot come for several years. Though electrical problems with solar flares have happened in the past, and those can occur almost any time.<\/p>\n

On December 19, 2102 I reported:<\/p>\n

Even though there could be some solar flare damage on 12\/21\/12, the “big one” that many scientists are concerned about will not happen this week. (see Solar flare threat is real, but the biblical \u2018big one\u2019 is not this week<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And there was no major solar storm damage then, or so far, through today.<\/p>\n

But in the future, there are real electrical risks for the USA, Canada, UK, and other nations.<\/p>\n

But most ignore warning signs. Will you?<\/p>\n
