I<\/span>nvestors\u2019 fears of a U.S. recession is causing stock markets to plunge around the world, according to the International Herald Tribune<\/a>:<\/em><\/p>\n

Global stock markets plunged Monday as fears spread that the contagion in U.S. mortgage markets was spreading. Indexes in Europe fell as much as 7 percent after a massive sell-off in Asia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s something approaching panic in the market,\u201d Holger Schmieding, the chief European economist at Bank of America in London, said by telephone. \u201cThere\u2019s been a reassessment in the market of the U.S. economic outlook, with most people now thinking that there will be a recession,\u201d and investors are starting to reconsider the idea that the rest of the world \u201cwill remain aloof from U.S. problems.\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n

Investors in Asia have been in a state of denial about the possibility of a U.S. recession, said Adrian Mowat, chief strategist for JP Morgan in Asia. But now, he said, \u201cthere\u2019s no debate about it.\u201d Instead, he said, investors were asking \u201chow long and how deep\u201d the recession might be.<\/p>\n

The Japanese Nikkei 225 index fell 3.9 percent, the mainland Chinese index more than 5 percent. In Europe, the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 was down 5.1 percent and in the UK the ftse<\/span> 100 was down 3.4 percent. With American stock markets closed due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, they are yet to react to this global crash.

As of the first thing this morning, the three major American market indexes (Dow, Nasdaq, & S&P 500) were all down–though that may change later today.<\/p>\n

The facts are that the world economy is shaky as is the USA’s.\u00a0 However, the Bible shows that the Europeans will vastle improve theirs, but that the economy of the debtor English-speaking nations (USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) will eventually be destroyed (though not this year<\/strong><\/em>, contrary to the claims of several).\u00a0 Nations aligned with the future European power will generally see their economies improving before the final end.<\/p>\n
