COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n As long-time readers of the COGwriter page are aware, I have long been concerned that the EU’s Galileo would be used against the US sometime after it comes online.\u00a0 Notice that apparently certain American officials have had similar concerns:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n BRUSSELS – The European Union executive on Thursday gave Germany’s OHB System AG a (EURO)566 million ($810 million) contract to build the first 14 satellites for the EU’s new space-based navigation system Galileo.<\/p>\n The executive said that means the much-delayed rival to GPS should begin operating in 2014.<\/p>\n The EU has claimed Galileo will be technologically superior to the U.S. Global Positioning System http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/34747439\/ns\/technology_and_science-space\/<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n So, it is now being recognized that sometime next decade, the EU will have a technologically superior “GPS” system that could be a threat to the USA militarily.\u00a0 I believe that if the right circumstances are in place, that the EU will take advantage of that superiority.<\/p>\n Furthermore, the USA is being distracted somewhat by China as its military program is perceived as a threat to the USA’s superiority:<\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n …Senior U.S. officials told a House panel on Jan. 13 that China continues modernizing its missile, naval and fighter aircraft arsenals at a rapid rate, but they raised new concerns about the Asian giant’s efforts to develop new offensive cyber and space assets.http:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/story.php?i=4452407&c=SEA&s=TOP<\/a><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Since the USA is basically broke, it cannot focus on being ahead of both China and the EU.\u00a0 This will give the EU an edge as relatively few believe it will be a threat.\u00a0 Yet, the Bible (Isaiah 10) suggests that while it does not normally want to destroy, that it will.<\/p>\n The world is changing and the USA is losing dominance.<\/p>\n Some articles of related interest may include:<\/em><\/p>\n Who is the King of the North?<\/a> Is there one?
