China and Pakistan continue to build ties, including a road that could have prophetic ramifications:<\/p>\n

April 21, 2015<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ISLAMABAD\u2014Pakistan sought to alleviate China’s concerns on terrorism as President Xi Jinping wrapped up his two-day trip to the South Asian country.<\/p>\n

While the two countries focused on China\u2019s projected $46 billion of investment and loans to develop an economic corridor through Pakistan, terrorism and militancy also featured heavily in their discussions.<\/p>\n

Addressing the Pakistani parliament, Xi hailed the “profound friendship” between Pakistan and China and praised Islamabad’s anti-terror efforts, saying the two countries “share a common stake in security.”<\/p>\n

“Over the years Pakistan has overcome all kinds of difficulties and contributed greatly to the security and stability of China’s western border areas, and this is something that we shall never forget,” Xi said.<\/p>\n

In his own address to lawmakers, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Islamabad and Beijing “will fight together to eliminate the menace of terrorism.”<\/p>\n

Sharif also assured Xi that \u201cPakistan considers China\u2019s security as it\u2019s own security,” …<\/p>\n

Energy, infrastructure projects<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to security talks, the visit saw the two sides launch a projected $46 billion in energy and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n

The projects focused on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, a collection of roads, rail links, and gas and oil pipelines going from Pakistan\u2019s southern seaport of Gwadar to southwestern China.<\/p>\n

It is part of China\u2019s wider vision to revive the ancient Silk Road, and join Asia to Europe via road and sea links. \u00a0http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/content\/chinas-president-xi-jinping-praises-ties-with-pakistan-during-state-visit\/2728340.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

China wants to build roads to the Middle East and elsewhere.\u00a0 The ‘Silk Road’ project of China looks to increase China’s influence in Asia (see China, the Dalai Lama, and the Silk Road project<\/a>).\u00a0 China plans on having roads to Europe and Africa.<\/p>\n

China is trying to connect more than 20 countries along the ancient Silk Road under a grandiose program christened \u201cOne Belt, One Road.\u201d But the more than $140 billion program is facing challenges in many places over wars, territorial disputes and domestic unrest.<\/p>\n

The plan involves expanding China’s economic influence by establishing two big foreign trade routes. One stretches overland from China through Central Asia and on to Europe, traversing many countries that are desperate for more trade options to grow their economies. The other route is a maritime trade link connecting Chinese ports with coastal trading hubs in Africa and the Middle East. …<\/p>\n

China has allocated $40 billion to a newly created Silk Road Fund, while the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is being created with an equity capital of $100 billion. But the actual fund made available for the program might be three or four times this amount, analysts said. http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/content\/chinas-ambitious-silk-road-plan-faces-hurdles\/2719660.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as Europe goes, the Bible shows that the final European King of the North<\/a> will be disturbed from news from the north (Russia) and the east (including China):<\/p>\n

40 … the king of the North …43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, … 44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. (Daniel 11:40,43-45)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible shows that a confederation will affect the endtime European ‘daughter of Babylon’:<\/p>\n

41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north,
\nAnd a great nation and many kings
\nShall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
\n42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
\nThey are cruel and shall not show mercy.
\nTheir voice shall roar like the sea;
\nThey shall ride on horses,
\nSet in array, like a man for the battle,
\nAgainst you, O daughter of Babylon.<\/p>\n

43 “The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
\nAnd his hands grow feeble;
\nAnguish has taken hold of him,
\nPangs as of a woman in childbirth.\u00a0 (Jeremiah 50:41-43)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible also tells of a time when the ‘kings of the sunrise\/east’ will travel on land.\u00a0 They will end up in Armaggeddon:<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.<\/p>\n

15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”<\/p>\n

16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It may well be that the Silk Road project will help clear the way for Chinese and other troops to attack Europe as well as gather in Armageddon.\u00a0 World events continue to align with bibical prophecy.<\/p>\n
