As expected, the US Supreme Court is to decided to basically make homosexual marriage a ‘Constitutional right’:<\/p>\n

June 26, 2015<\/p>\n

President Barack Obama has hailed as “a victory for America” the U.S. Supreme Court ruling Friday that same-sex couples have the right to marry anywhere in the United States.<\/p>\n

The court ruled 5-4 that the U.S. Constitution’s guarantees of due process and equal protection for all overrule any state’s attempt to outlaw same-sex marriages.<\/p>\n

Currently, gay and lesbian couples are able to marry in 36 states and in the nation’s capital city. This ruling will extend those marriage rights to all 50 states.<\/p>\n

“This decision will end the uncertainty hundreds of thousands of same-sex couples face. It will strengthen all of our communities,” Obama said at the White House after the historic ruling.<\/p>\n

“Progress often comes in small increments, sometimes two steps forward, one step back,” he continued. “Sometimes, there are days like this \u2013 when that slow, steady effort is rewarded with justice that arrives like a thunderbolt.”<\/p>\n

“America should be very proud,” Obama said. …<\/p>\n

Representative Nancy Pelosi, leader of Democrats in the House, called the Supreme Court’s ruling on gay marriage a \u201ctransformative\u201d decision, saying the ruling \u201cunequivocally affirmed that equal justice under the law means marriage equality\u201d for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender Americans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis decision is about creating a future where loving, committed families are able to live with dignity. This is about freedom. This is about love,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

According to Scotusblog.com<\/a>, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion: “It is now clear that the challenged laws burden the liberty of same-sex couples, and it must be further acknowledged that they abridge central precepts of equality.<\/p>\n

\u201dEspecially against a long history of disapproval of their relationships, this denial to same-sex couples of the right to marry works a grave and continuing harm. The imposition of this disability on gays and lesbians serves to disrespect and subordinate them. And the Equal Protection Clause, like the Due Process Clause, prohibits this unjustified infringement of the fundamental right to marry,” Kennedy wrote.<\/p>\n

The blog also quoted Chief Justice Robert\u2019s dissent as saying: “If you are among the many Americans \u2013 of whatever sexual orientation \u2013 who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today’s decision.<\/p>\n

“Celebrate the achievement of a desired goal. Celebrate the opportunity for a new expression of commitment to a partner. Celebrate the availability of new benefits. But do not celebrate the Constitution. Back in April I wrote that this would happen:<\/p>\n

Most of the justices on the current US Supreme Court have decided to not heed the warning in the Bible on all of this. Apparently they do not know and\/or care that the survival of many in the United States and the Anglo-Saxon lands is at risk! There are other sins of immorality, such as pornography and abortion, that are rampant and wrong in these lands as well.<\/p>\n

No one should be ignoring the warnings of the Bible. No one should be pushing the homosexual agenda–but the US Supreme Court will assist in this-and this will be to the peril of the USA. Here are some comments from two dissenting Supreme Court justices:<\/p>\n

June 26, 2015<\/p>\n

Scalia\u00a0wrote his dissent \u201cto call attention to this Court\u2019s threat to American\u00a0democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s decree says that my Ruler, and\u00a0the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast, is a
\nmajority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court. The\u00a0opinion in these cases is the furthest extension in fact\u2014and the furthest extension one can even imagine\u2014of the\u00a0Court\u2019s claimed power to create \u201cliberties\u201d that the Constitution\u00a0and its Amendments neglect to mention. This\u00a0practice of constitutional revision by an unelected committee\u00a0of nine, always accompanied (as it is today) by extravagant\u00a0praise of liberty, robs the People of the most important\u00a0liberty they asserted in the Declaration of\u00a0Independence and won in the Revolution of 1776: the\u00a0freedom to govern themselves,\u201d Scalia wrote.<\/p>\n

Thomas wrote, \u201cAside from undermining the political processes that\u00a0protect our liberty, the majority\u2019s decision threatens the\u00a0religious liberty our Nation has long sought to protect.\u201d \u00a0http:\/\/washington.cbslocal.com\/2015\/06\/26\/supreme-court-rules-same-sex-couples-have-right-to-marry-nationwide\/<\/span><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For some time, US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had been speaking out in favor of homosexual marriage being a ‘Constitutional right’ before today.\u00a0 Of course, the decision is NOT in accordance with the Constitution of the United States as Justice Roberts and the other dissenting justices pointed out.\u00a0 The Constitution gives the individual states the rights on this subject.\u00a0 But the states again lost and big government again trumped them.<\/p>\n

I expect homosexual groups to retaliate against some of their opponents because of this ruling.\u00a0 Some retaliation may take years, but the mindset of many who promote the homosexual agenda is to go against opponents.\u00a0 It has happened in the past and I expect that this will happen in the future.\u00a0 Just giving the ‘marriage’ aspect of the agenda will not be enough for various ones of them.\u00a0 Some steps were taken in 2014 (see Homosexual lobby getting its revenge against critics<\/a>), and I believe revenge is something that is part of the agenda of many.<\/p>\n

This will result in more people being careful about giving contrary positions.\u00a0 ‘Free speech’ is getting less and less free.\u00a0 One of the reasons I did a recent sermon on homosexuality before the US Supreme Court decision (watch What Does the Bible Really Teach about Homosexuality?<\/a>) was because I have been concerned that the time will come when that will either be prohibited or limited, and that places like YouTube may decide to no longer allow them to be online.\u00a0 This would be consistent with the ‘famine of the word’ (Amos 8:11-12)–which will get worse–much worse.<\/p>\n

Sadly, fewer North Americans read and believe the Bible nor what it says about homosexuality. Sadly certain theologians have misrepresented what the Bible teaches about homosexuality (see The Bible and Homosexuality: 10 FAQs Pro and Con<\/a>).<\/p>\n

But you do not need to be a theologian nor Supreme Court justice to realize that the Bible does not endorse homosexual marriage. The Bible warns against homosexuality.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of an early event that occurred in the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah between three thousand and four thousand years ago:<\/p>\n

24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And why did it happen?<\/p>\n

7 as Sodom and Gomorrah<\/strong>, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example<\/strong>, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Homosexuality is a form of sexual immorality that involves going after “strange flesh.”<\/p>\n

Why mention this in the 21st century?<\/p>\n

Because God turned:<\/p>\n

6\u2026the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes<\/strong>, condemned them to destruction, making them an example<\/strong> to those who afterward would live ungodly (2 Peter 2:6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thus, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah were to serve as an example to those who would live as they did. Yet despite biblical warnings, many modern leaders are endorsing so-called homosexual “rights” and “same-sex marriage.” The Bible, however, warns about such leaders:<\/p>\n

12\u2026Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths. (Isaiah 3:12)<\/p>\n

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, leaders that ignore what the Bible teaches are leading others toward destruction.<\/p>\n

Of course, not everyone in Sodom and Gomorrah were homosexuals as those that strictly practice that could not reproduce. Yet, notice that the destruction that hit their cities destroyed all that were there and notice that something like this is to happen again according to Jesus:<\/p>\n

26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. (Luke 17:26-29)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Various ones can pretend that increasing \u201chomosexual rights\u201d is acceptable, but the Bible suggests otherwise. A marriage as the above indicates, as do other scriptures (e.g. Matthew 19:4-5), is between a man and woman (for more details see God Created Marriage<\/a>). Not two of the same sex.<\/p>\n

Homosexual acts are clearly prohibited in the Bible:<\/p>\n

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)<\/p>\n

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those who try to claim that the Bible does not clearly condemn homosexuality are intentionally misreading what it actually teaches. The Bible prohibits and condemns homosexual behavior–the Bible calls it an abomination!<\/p>\n

Notice also the following:<\/p>\n

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them, And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul!<\/strong> For they have brought evil upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9)<\/p>\n

13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate. (Proverbs 8:13)<\/p>\n

18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)<\/p>\n

49 Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit. (Ezekiel 16:49-50)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So the Bible shows that Sodom was destroyed for many things including its pride and the committing of abominations. Homosexuality is an abomination and a sin.<\/p>\n

Yet, in modern times there are “gay pride” parades, etc. God still does not approve of pride or homosexual abominations. Various ones in the USA and elsewhere “declare their sin as Sodom.”<\/p>\n

Notice that not just participating in homosexual and lesbian acts are prohibited by the Bible, but that condemnation is also given to those who approve such acts:<\/p>\n

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:26-32)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those in the USA should not be PROUD of what has been done like their President Obama declared today.\u00a0 They should be concerned as this ruling is not good for the USA and will be a factor in its ultimate demise as a nation.<\/p>\n
