New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is polling <\/a>terribly in his home state. In the jam-packed 2016 Republican presidential field, he\u2019s only pulling single digits. The scandal known as Bridgegate<\/a>, which sprayed his entire administration with the stench of scandal, isn\u2019t going away. And the loud buzz surrounding Christie running for president in the last election cycle? It\u2019s nearly silent this time around.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

But\u00a0on Tuesday\u00a0morning, Christie \u2013 who conservatives all but begged to run in 2012 \u2013 will try and change his fortunes and break away from underdog status…his recently revealed presidential campaign site with the slogan \u201ctelling it like it is\u201d\u00a0 http:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/msnbc\/chris-christie-announcement-day-can-he-win-2016<\/a>

CHRISTIE MAKES IT OFFICIAL: <\/strong>Today, Gov. Chris Christie will formally declare his candidacy for president of the United States at his alma mater, Livingston High School in New Jersey, becoming the 14th Republican candidate to enter the 2016 presidential race, ABC\u2019s ADAM DESIDERIO<\/strong> notes. Over the weekend, Christie unveiled a short video previewing his message: \u201cI get accused a lot of times of being too blunt and too direct and saying what\u2019s on my mind just a little bit too loudly,\u201d\u00a0http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/note-chris-christie-candidate\/story?id=32122845<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as ‘telling it like it is,” he simply does not hold certain biblically moral positions, and perhaps he hopes for a chance to win the chance to be in a Cabinet or be appointed vice president.\u00a0 He claims to be blunt and that may endear him to some voters, but not to others.<\/p>\n

Anyway, like others who have already announced their candidacies, Chris Christie is a politician who seems to believe he knows what the USA needs.<\/p>\n

Well, it needs national repentance, which is not something I expect him to meaningfully call for. His Roman Catholicism has possible prophetic ramifications. He, for example, may be more inclined to trust the Europeans on certain matters if the Vatican endorses something or wants him to.<\/p>\n

But, of course, he needs to get elected first and Hillary Clinton is considered to be a formidable candidate.<\/p>\n
