In his\u00a02\/18\/08 co-worker letter, Roderick C. Meredith of the Living Church of God wrote:<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The attention of much of the world is now focused on the Presidential election season here in the United States<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>. In the most lengthy, drawn-out pre-election maneuverings, primaries and caucuses in American history, it appears that the next American President will be either a super-feminist woman, a comparatively young African-American man, or\u2014by the time he would take office\u2014a 72-year-old politician who spent years in wartime captivity…<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At the very beginning of His ministry, \u201cJesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel\u00a0of the kingdom<\/st1:placetype> of God<\/st1:placename>,\u00a0<\/a>and saying,\u00a0\u2018The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom<\/st1:placetype> of God<\/st1:placename><\/st1:place> is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel\u2019\u201d <\/span>(Mark 1:14-15). Near the end of His ministry on earth, Jesus stated in the Olivet Prophecy, \u201c<\/span>So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near\u201d (Luke 21:31<\/span>). The Good News of the coming Kingdom<\/st1:placetype> of God<\/st1:placename><\/st1:place> continued to be the focus of the true Gospel throughout the Apostolic Age. For we find at the very end of the book of Acts that the Apostle Paul was \u201cpreaching the <\/span>kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him\u201d<\/span> (Acts<\/span> 28:31).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>So true Christians know that a very real<\/em> new world-ruling government is coming soon<\/em>! It will, indeed, be a \u201cwhole new world\u201d\u2014the prophesied \u201ctimes of restoration <\/span>of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began\u201d<\/span> (Acts<\/span> 3:21).<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The Bible instructs us to pray regularly<\/em> for this coming World Government, \u201cThy Kingdom come<\/em>\u201d (Matt. 6:9-10). The Apostle John tells us, \u201cHe who testifies to these things says,\u00a0\u2018Surely I am coming quickly.\u2019 Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!\u201d (Rev. 22:20). God\u2019s inspired Word also tells us that at the \u201clast trump\u201d Christ\u2019s Government will be set up on this earth<\/em>:\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cThen the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, \u2018The\u00a0kingdoms of this world have become\u00a0the kingdoms<\/span> of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!\u2019\u201d <\/span>(Rev. 11:15).\u00a0<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Frankly, the liberal ministers of our modern world have a very difficult time trying to \u201cspiritualize away\u201d the literally dozens<\/em> of Bible verses which clearly describe a soon-coming World Government with Jesus Christ as King of kings and the true saints as kings and priests assisting Christ here on earth<\/em>.\u00a0<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>As we see wars and famines, earthquakes and upset weather conditions becoming worse, as we clearly recognize that mankind\u2019s misguided attempts to rule itself apart from God<\/em> continue to bring about broken homes and broken lives, war, anguish and death, we should truly cry out, \u201cThy Kingdom come!<\/em>\u201d And we should do everything in our power<\/em> to help increasing millions of our fellow human beings learn about God\u2019s true Plan and His Purpose<\/em> for all our lives.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/span><\/o:p><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>That is what we at Tomorrow\u2019s World<\/em> are trying to do with all of our hearts. There is nothing <\/strong>more important than carrying the true Message of God to all the world! And each of us needs to do his or her part to be an \u201covercomer,\u201d to obey<\/em> our Creator and to genuinely walk with God and walk with Christ now and forever. That is why<\/strong> we were born!<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>May God help all of you to see His Plan, as world events move swiftly toward the prophesied end<\/strong> of this age. In this election year here in America<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>, we see people all across the nation enthusiastically supporting and even cheering<\/em> and yelling<\/em> for their favorite candidate. Thousands of \u201cpolitical operatives\u201d\u2014including hundreds of starry-eyed young people\u2014are giving generously of their time, their energy and their money to support their favorite candidates. They literally \u201cpour themselves\u201d into it. For by driving themselves<\/em> to reach out to hundreds of others with enthusiasm and zeal, they hope to play a vital part in helping to elect\u2014for a few short years\u2014a fallible human leader over this nation.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\u00a0<\/font><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>But we<\/strong>\u2014my dear friends and brethren\u2014are called to similarly \u201cpour ourselves\u201d with total dedication into preparing the way for the King of kings who alone<\/strong> can bring about the kind of peace and justice and lasting happiness we all yearn for. Are we driving ourselves<\/em> in doing all we can to prepare for the real<\/strong> world-ruling government which is about to be set up on this earth? Are we showing our Creator and our God that we truly believe what He says<\/em>, and that we will go \u201call out\u201d to yield ourselves to the task of helping get His Son\u2019s message to a dying world while we have the opportunity? May God inspire all of us to zealously<\/strong> do our part in the vital Work of preparing the way for His soon-coming Kingdom!<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
