Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.<\/em> (Luke 12:32)<\/p>\n COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n Because of the need for more storage space, the main office for the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> (CCOG) has been relocated to Grover Beach, California.<\/p>\n It was the most cost-effective building we could find.<\/p>\n Perhaps it should be mentioned that CCOG is NOT paying for the building space, my business is–I also draw no salary from the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a>.\u00a0 While I do believe that I am biblically entitled to be compensated (beyond being reimbursement for expenses, etc.), I, like the Apostle Paul, have forfeited taking a regular salary from the (Continuing<\/em>) Church of God for the current time–nor did I ever taken a salary from CCOG, or LCG<\/a> or GCG for that matter over the past nearly two decades).\u00a0 I make my family\u2019s income another way–owning a business that I work at part-time (the Apostle Paul made tents, apparently part-time, to support himself at times per Acts 18:3, while he also proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom).\u00a0 I do not take a salary as there are other needs in the work that I have placed as a higher priority during this \u201cpresent distress\u201d (cf. 1 Corinthians 7:26).\u00a0 For those who wonder, perhaps it should be mentioned that all the tithes and offerings collected thus far by the Continuing<\/em> Church of God have been used to proclaim Christ’s gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 24:14) and other end time aspects of the work (Revelation 3:7-13), teaching those things He commanded (Matthew 28:19-20), preparing for the short work (Romans 9:28), supporting the poor, widows and orphans (Galatians 2:10; 1 Timothy 5:3; James 1:27) mainly in Africa and Asia, and only relatively minor amounts have been spent for administrative aspects of the church (1 Corinthians 12:28; 2 Corinthians 9:6-14)–government-related legal costs probably being the single biggest administrative expense (and those are fairly minor).<\/p>\n Anyway as far as the move to Grover Beach goes, we moved boxes and furniture last Friday, unpacked Sunday, and prepared for inspection late Monday.<\/p>\n Several hours ago, we passed the fire inspection, so we are now ‘officially’ in the building.<\/p>\n Our new address is:<\/p>\n Continuing<\/em> Church of God Grover Beach is one of the \u201cfive cities\u201d of the Five Cities region of California.\u00a0 It is next to Arroyo Grande (where the office used to be) and Pismo Beach.\u00a0 Grover Beach is roughly half-way between Los Angeles and San Jose, California, at the coast.<\/p>\n Here is a photograph that my wife Joyce took of the building:<\/p>\n In some ways, it resembles the building that we were last in.\u00a0 This building has room to better store our literature and files.\u00a0 And in the future, if we decide to do more of our own printing, there is space for that.<\/p>\n In the more immediate term, we hope to start to format our magazines and booklets in-house.\u00a0 Currently, the delays from when we get some materials translated to when they are available are taking longer than we would like.\u00a0 So, now we should have room to have more direct control over that.<\/p>\n Teaching the truth about the Bible and history and prophecy and the love of the word of God to the world in general and those called in this age in particular (Matthew 28:19-20) is basically the mission of the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a>.
