Kim Davis, the elected official who refused to authorize homosexual marriages, was released from jail today:<\/p>\n

September 8, 2015<\/p>\n

LOUISVILLE \u2014 The Rowan County, Ky., clerk who was jailed last week for failing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples\u00a0was released from jail Tuesday after spending six days in jail.<\/p>\n

U.S. District Judge David Bunning, who jailed Kim Davis for contempt of court Thursday, ordered her freed from jail, saying he was satisfied her deputies have complied with his order to issue marriage licenses to same-sex and straight couples.<\/p>\n

After her release Tuesday, Davis could be seen standing with Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee outside of the Carter County (Ky.) Detention Center where she was held.<\/p>\n

In a two-page order, Bunning ordered the U.S. Marshal Service to\u00a0release her\u00a0on the condition that she shall not \u201cinterfere\u00a0in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples.<\/p>\n

If she does, Bunning said, \u201cappropriate sanctions\u201d will be considered.<\/p>\n

In a brief moment at the microphone during the rally,\u00a0Davis tearfully told roaring supporters,\u00a0“I just want to give God the glory.”<\/p>\n

With Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger<\/em>\u00a0playing in the background,\u00a0Davis, who was jailed Thursday\u00a0by\u00a0U.S. District Judge David Bunning for\u00a0contempt of court, was flanked by\u00a0Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and other supporters outside the\u00a0Carter County (Ky.) GRAYSON, Ky. \u2014 Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who was jailed for refusing to give marriage licenses<\/a> to same-sex couples, walked free Tuesday after five days, but she and her lawyer would not say whether she would abide by a court order not to interfere with the issuance of licenses by her office.<\/p>\n

Five of her deputies in the Rowan County Clerk\u2019s Office have been issuing marriage licenses since Friday, after telling Judge David L. Bunning<\/a> of Federal District Court that they would do so.\u00a0http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/09\/09\/us\/kim-davis-same-sex-marriage.html?_r=0<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kim Davis may end up in jail again.\u00a0 Technically, none of the licenses issued in her county are valid as she has not delegated approval to her deputies there, but most are ignoring that aspect of the law.\u00a0 Based on her past statements, it would not seem that she would be inclined to delegate that authority.<\/p>\n

The hypocrisy of many pundits in the media about her has been appalling.\u00a0 Today, I heard various ones say that no public official can violate federal law and should realize that those laws are subject to change, yet no one has jailed numerous government officials in various cities in the USA who openly do not comply with aspects of US immigration law. The way I heard one pundit on CNN today, you need to be willing to change on basically any belief you hold if you are any type of government employee.\u00a0 Hence, we will see a tendency for more immoral and amoral people to occupy governmental positions as any with a semblance of historical morality are not really welcome.<\/p>\n

As I wrote before, the government of the USA is becoming more and more ‘political’ in how it determines which laws to enforce and not enforce.\u00a0 Which employees or officials get bothered, and which get a pass.<\/p>\n

Thousands of years ago, in the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah, people thought that sexual preferences should always be allowed, no matter what.\u00a0 Notice what happened to them:<\/p>\n

24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And why did it happen?<\/p>\n

7 as Sodom and Gomorrah<\/strong>, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example<\/strong>, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Homosexuality is a form of sexual immorality that involves going after “strange flesh.”<\/p>\n
