Minutes of a major US Federal Reserve meeting were released and there are various views about the economic situation and where this is heading:<\/p>\n

October 9, 2015<\/p>\n

Oct 9 (Reuters) – Wall Street was set to open slightly higher on Friday, a day after the S&P 500 closed at a seven-week high as investors bet the Federal Reserve would keep rates at near-zero levels until at least next year.<\/p>\n

The minutes of the Fed’s September meeting, released on Thursday, indicated further signs of dovishness, with policymakers concerned about a global economic slowdown weighing on America, even before weak September jobs data.<\/p>\n

“It was more a case of an abundance of caution rather than worry,” said Brad McMillan, chief investment officer for Commonwealth Financial Network.\u00a0http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2015\/10\/09\/markets-stocks-usa-idUSL3N1293LL20151009<\/a><\/p>\n

NEW YORK \u2013 The minutes released Thursday from the September meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee, the policy-setting body of the Federal Reserve, show the Fed backed off raising interest rates because of concern the global economic slowdown was impacting the much-touted Obama \u201ceconomic recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

The FOMC minutes from the Sept. 16-17 meeting echo concerns published this week by the International Monetary Fund that also warned a global economic meltdown is looming as world debt builds to record heights amid a slowdown in global economic growth. …<\/p>\n

If global economic growth continues to slow, the next problem is that the \u201cObama recovery\u201d in the United States has been prompted by the near doubling of U.S. debt during the Obama presidency to over $18 trillion. The Federal Reserve, meanwhile, has been printing money used to purchase U.S. Treasury debt to keep interest rates low.<\/p>\n

The concern is that an increase in interest rates by the Fed would trigger a stock market crash of historic proportions.<\/p>\n

However, until the Federal Reserve starts increasing interest rates, governments in the developed economies, including the European Union, have little or no incentive to stop piling up government debt to historically frightening levels.<\/p>\n

China, the biggest foreign owner of U.S. Treasury debt, is currently engaged in an historic selloff of U.S. Treasuries to prevent the yuan from weakening beyond the level of 6.40 yuan per dollar.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2015\/10\/fed-joins-world-banks-worry-of-global-economic-meltdown\/#R5FYifitvusVk3gw.99\u00a0<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The US Federal Reserve, which is neither a US federal government agency nor does it have any significant ‘reserves,’ has a difficult job, but normally takes one with minimal short-term political consequences.<\/p>\n

It has tended to try to prop up the US stock markets, basically successfully, for the past couple of decades.\u00a0 It has artificially reduced interest rates by creating money (yes, they basically make it out of thin air, by creating electronic money and issuing US treasury notes as collateral).<\/p>\n

If US interest rates rise to levels such as seen in the 1980s, the USA would be faced with the situation that just the interest on its debt would exceed all of its tax revenues.<\/p>\n

Although US President Barack Obama has called the increase in USA debt ‘unsustainable.’ it has massively increased under his administration faster than any previous administration.<\/p>\n

Since the debt increases are ‘unsustainable,’ yet the US government with its accomplices at the US Federal Reserve facilitating it, what will happen?<\/p>\n

Notice some of what is recorded in the Book of Habakkuk:<\/p>\n

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:<\/p>\n

“Write the vision
\nAnd make it plain on tablets,
\nThat he may run who reads it.
\n3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
\nBut at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
\nThough it tarries, wait for it;
\nBecause it will surely come,
\nIt will not tarry.\u00a0 (Habakkuk 2:2-3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that the above is saying that something really, really bad will happen in the appointed time of the end.\u00a0 That means this has future application.\u00a0 Notice also that what is coming will be so bad that the time will come when people should run\/flee when it does happen (consider also the article There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Why it May Be Petra<\/a>).\u00a0 The time will come when those Philadelphians<\/a> who understand Habakkuk 2 in its proper timeframe will flee.<\/p>\n

So, what is this prophecy related to?<\/p>\n

Debt.<\/p>\n

Notice what else the Prophet Habakkuk was inspired to record:<\/p>\n

6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him,
\nAnd a taunting riddle against him, and say,
\n‘Woe to him who increases
\nWhat is not his \u2014 how long?
\nAnd to him who loads himself with many pledges’?
\n7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?
\nWill they not awaken who oppress you?
\nAnd you will become their booty.
\n8 Because you have plundered many nations,
\nAll the remnant of the people shall plunder you,
\nBecause of men’s blood
\nAnd the violence of the land and the city,
\nAnd of all who dwell in it.\u00a0 (Habakkuk 2:6-8)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those in the US Federal Reserve and the Obama Administration do not believe what the Bible teaches here is relevant, thus they do not have a clue how bad the situation in the USA will be.<\/p>\n

I, personally, have taught the end time risks of Habakkuk 2 longer than any living COG leader that I am aware of. And the only Church of God group that I am aware of that has been boldly teaching about this warning in Habakkuk 2 for years is the Continuing<\/a><\/em> Church of God<\/a> (and the end time applicability of Habakkuk 2 was even in the first edition–January-March 2013–of our Bible News Prophecy magazine<\/a>; and the headline shown on the front cover was “Habakkuk’s Warning is for Us Today”). The Laodicean groups that I am aware of are NOT teaching this. We in the Continuing<\/a><\/em> Church of God<\/a> expect to tell people WHEN the time the Philadelphians should flee.<\/p>\n

Jesus specifically told the Laodiceans<\/a>, in a prophecy, that they needed to repent (Revelation 3:19) or face consequences (Revelation 3:14-19, and that they would be rewarded for doing so (Revelation 3:20). The Laodiceans are Church of God Christians “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17).<\/p>\n

As far as debt goes, “The United States has the largest debt in the world” US News & World Report \u2013 Jan 28, 2011 http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/articles\/2011\/01\/28\/the-10-countries-with-the-most-debt). And the Bible clearly warns that an indebted people will be destroyed by people whose language that they do not understand, and that the destruction will be fairly total:<\/p>\n

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed…47 \u201cBecause you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies<\/strong>, whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand<\/strong>, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. 51 And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave<\/strong> you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you<\/strong>. 52 They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you (Deuteronomy 28:42-45,47-52).<\/p>\n

7 The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender. (Proverbs 22:7)<\/p>\n

13 And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it, 14 but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts…16 I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known<\/strong>. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.” (Jeremiah 9:13,14a,16)<\/p>\n

12 One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. (Ezekiel 5:12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that getting in debt is considered to be a curse (see also the YouTube video The Debt Crisis Will Be Worse Than Most Imagine<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The debt situation of the USA is putting it at risk of being unable to recover should it be hit by weather problems, terrorist acts, war, riots, solar flares, severe earthquakes, civil unrest, devastation of their genetically-modified food supplies, food shortages, and\/or various pestilences\u2013an intensity of \u201csorrows\u201d such as Jesus discussed in Matthew 24:4-8 leading up to the time of the Great Tribulation. \u00a0\u00a0Disasters such as pestilences, especially if there is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (emp) attack or a severe solar flare storm, could be part of a so-called \u201cperfect storm\u201d of events that could set the USA for destruction.<\/p>\n

Let me make this perfectly clear: THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THE USA WILL NO LONGER EXIST AS ITS OWN NATION.\u00a0 It will be destroyed and taken over–other scriptures, like Daniel 11:39, also show this.<\/p>\n

The worst is yet to come, but its Federal Reserve appears nearly clueless.\u00a0 However, I should add that for the USA, its end will not be for at least a few more years (see When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2015, 2016, or 2017?<\/a>).<\/p>\n
