EU Will Collapse Like Roman Empire!<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n
\n

The financial and immigration crises gripping the EU are putting great strain on the \u201cEuropean Experiment.\u201d In a sobering interview, the Dutch prime minister evoked prophetic language as he talked \u201cseriously about the EU collapsing like the Roman Empire\u201d (Business Insider<\/em><\/a>, November 29, 2015). He was making a case to close borders to international immigration. The prime minister \u201csuggested that western European states might need to bring in a \u2018mini-Schengen\u2019 to deal with the bloc\u2019s migrant crisis\u201d\u2014referring to the\u00a0Schengen Agreement\u00a0that began to eliminate border controls in much of the EU. A \u201cmini-Schengen\u201d agreement could exclude open borders to countries in south-eastern Europe (ibid.<\/em>). \u201cHistorian Niall Ferguson made a similar point about the EU and Rome in the aftermath of the Islamist attacks on Paris this month\u201d (ibid<\/em>.).<\/p>\n

Although many of the 28 member-nations of the European Union may retreat to their original boundaries, it appears that a\u00a0smaller<\/em>\u00a0core<\/em>\u00a0of European nations will emerge from the current turmoil. Bible prophecy has long foretold that at the end of the age, a group of ten European kings (or nations) will \u201cgive their power and authority\u201d to a Beast. This short-lived political union will cooperate with and be influenced by a great world-church (see Revelation 17). Events in Europe are fitting into ancient Bible prophecies.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

LCG has been pushing this “core Europe” idea for some time. LCG has certain difficulties understanding Revelation 17 as it tends to hope that the European Beast power will whittle down to ten currently existing nations. Details about that and what the Bible actually teaches can be found in the article Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?<\/a> A related sermon is titled Ten Kings of Revelation and the Great Tribulation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But let me specifically and unequivocally state that in complete contradiction to LCG’s headline: The EU will NOT collapse like the old Roman Empire.\u00a0 The Bible teaches reorganization in Europe (Revelation 17:12-13), followed by its ultimate rise, then destruction from forces to its north and east (Daniel 11:44; Jeremiah 50:41-46; see also Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation<\/a>) and then its final elimination by the return of Jesus (Revelation 17:12-14; Daniel 2:40-45).\u00a0 The final rise and fall of the final European Empire will take less than four years.<\/p>\n

That is NOT how the old Roman Empire collapsed. LCG’s headline is in error here.\u00a0 It took centuries and multiple invasions of mainly European forces to bring the Roman Empire down.<\/p>\n

While some nations like the UK may leave the EU, the reality is that the final European Beast power will not be limited to ten or eleven currently existing nations as some in LCG keep indicating.\u00a0 And the EU cannot possibly collapse like the old Roman Empire did.<\/p>\n

Sadly, LCG continues to push more prophetic teachings that are not sound scripturally.<\/p>\n

The Terrorist Attacks That United Europe<\/h2>\n

The November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris caused a tremendous rift between America and the European Union. For the first time ever, a European nation\u2014France\u2014called on the European Union\u2019s collective defense clause instead of turning to the American-led North Atlantic Treaty Organization (nato) for help. This represents a stunning rejection of American leadership. …<\/p>\n

By invoking the EU\u2019s collective defense clause rather than nato, French President Fran\u00e7ois Hollande was declaring that Europe is more than just a junior partner in America\u2019s defense arrangement. Europe is its own power. It has its own foreign relations, its own interests, and its own goals.<\/p>\n

Most people didn\u2019t recognize the significance of France\u2019s decision to call on the EU instead of nato. But it is a choice that will have a massive negative impact on America\u2014as well as Britain and the Jewish state of Israel. It will significantly alter the history of these nations, and of Europe.<\/p>\n

As Bavarian Finance Minister Marcus S\u00f6der said, \u201cParis changes everything!\u201d …<\/em><\/p>\n

Europe is viewing the Paris attacks as the start of World War iii. …<\/p>\n

Europe has faced a financial crisis, a refugee crisis, and a wave of radical Islamist terrorist attacks\u2014in rapid succession. It faces a severe and constant threat from the Islamic State, which apparently is progressing toward chemical weapons. But these militants are merely a convenient distraction for Iran, the head of the radical Islamist snake (Daniel 11:40).<\/p>\n

The last time Germany experienced similar chaotic conditions, the most evil dictator ever seized power! Your Bible says that another strongman is about to lead Germany into war (Daniel 8:23). This man will be more destructive than Hitler. …<\/p>\n

The world will soon feel the wrath of the seventh and final<\/em> resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire\u2014led by a revived Germany and straddled by the Roman Catholic Church (Revelation 17).\u00a0https:\/\/www.thetrumpet.com\/article\/13336.18.0.0\/the-terrorist-attacks-that-united-europe<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is interesting because PCG is saying recent events are causing the EU to come together while LCG is saying that recent events are driving it apart.<\/p>\n

The reality is that the Bible teaches that the parts of Europe will not adhere well to each other:<\/p>\n

41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. (Daniel 2:41-44)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Parts of the current EU may not agree to be in the final Beast power, but the reality is that even places like the territory of the UK will be part of the final Beast power, as unwilling as they may be.<\/p>\n

Now despite the differing angles from their articles today, both LCG and PCG teach that the final Beast power is to be composed of ten (or eleven) currently existing nations.\u00a0 If that is the case, then the EU would shrink a lot.\u00a0 However, LCG allows for the possibility that there could<\/em> be more.<\/p>\n

The old Radio, then Worldwide, Church of God generally taught that there would be ten groups of nations to comprise the ten mentioned in Revelation 17:12-13.\u00a0 PCG and LCG have sometimes overlooked that in their understandings and positions.<\/p>\n

The Bible supports the idea of ten kingdoms\/ten groupings of nations.<\/p>\n

While some borders likely will be redrawn into ten regions\/kingdoms, I do not expect that the final Beast will be composed of only ten currently existing nations. Those that teach that (like PCG<\/a> and some in LCG) may not realize what is rising in Europe until it is too late.<\/p>\n
