U.S. Vice President Joe Biden kicked off a five-day trip to the Middle East Monday, vowing that the United States would “squeeze the heart” out of Islamic State and destroy it.<\/p>\n

Biden visited U.S. airmen stationed at the Al-Dhafra Air Base near the United Arab Emirates capital of Abu Dhabi, as drones taxied down the runway.<\/p>\n

He dismissed Islamic State insurgents as “criminals and cowards.” Biden, using an Arabic name for Islamic State, told the airmen, “We have to squeeze the heart of Daesh in Iraq and Syria so they can’t continue to pump their poison in the region and around the world.” …<\/p>\n

Biden, accompanied by his wife Jill, is also visiting Israel, the West Bank and Jordan.<\/p>\n

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will host talks with Biden on Wednesday.\u00a0 Ahead of their meeting, Netanyahu said the visit is evidence of the strong relations between Israel and the United States and that those who predicted the collapse of their ties have been proven wrong.<\/p>\n

Biden will also meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday, and on Thursday he will hold talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah II.\u00a0http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/content\/biden-visits-uae-ahead-of-stops-in-israel-jordan\/3222621.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Do I, Bob Thiel, believe that the Islamic State will cease as it is?<\/p>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

It has long been my view that the leader of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, will not be the final King of the South. Notice some items I posted related to that back in August 2014:<\/p>\n

I do not believe its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi will become the biblical King of the South. (Thiel B.

King of the South<\/a> (Daniel 11:40-43).<\/p>\n

At this moment, I do not believe that this will be the \u2018Caliph\u2019 of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Instead, I believe that many will point to groups such as the Islamic State, al-Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram, etc. as extremists and claim that a \u2018moderate\u2019 Arabic-Turkish Islamic confederation is the best way to control \u2018extremism.\u2019 The West, including probably the UK and USA, will go along with that. (Thiel B. UK will not fight with Assad against Islamic State, many British Muslims fight for the Islamic State, US calls Islamic State \u2018apocalyptic,\u2019 and Muslims killed in Iraq<\/a>. While many are focusing on the face of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his Islamic State, they are only a part of what is happening. Though in some respects, they may act like a trigger.<\/p>\n

Groups like the Islamic State will end up encouraging the West to embrace a variety of proposals, including one that the Bible suggests sounds like a type of Islamic caliphate (at least the peoples it discusses in it are currently predominantly Islamic at this time). A confederation of predominantly Islamic nations will happen per Daniel 11:40-43 and Ezekiel 30:2-8. (Thiel B. Kissinger tells of New World Order, Cameron concerned about ISIS terrorism, while Obama tells of \u2018no strategy\u2019 related to bombing Islamic State raises some concerns<\/a>. In 2016, I do not believe that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is the final King of the South. His actions and practices are turning much of the world against him and his group. This will spur more to rise up against him and the Islamic State–despite the fact that it will still do damage in various areas. Expect some type of defeat for the Islamic State. But also look for the rise of an Arabic leader to become that King.<\/p>\n

Yet, it remains my position that the actions of the Islamic State will contribute to the rise of the final King of the South<\/a> of Bible prophecy (Daniel 11:40-43), who will cooperate in a major way with the final King of the North<\/a> (Daniel 11:27; Psalm 83:3-8).<\/p>\n

Now, Americans hope that by defeating the Islamic State, the risk of terrorist attacks will be diminished.\u00a0 While some would be, the reality is that the Bible shows that terrorism is prophesied:<\/p>\n

14 \u2018But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you<\/strong>, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you<\/strong>. (Leviticus 26:14-17)<\/p>\n

25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within<\/strong> (Deuteronomy 32:25)<\/p>\n

12 \u201cCry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people<\/strong>; Therefore strike your thigh. (Ezekiel 21:12)<\/p>\n

12 Behold, these are the ungodly,<\/strong>Who are always at ease<\/strong>; They increase in riches\u202619 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! <\/strong>They are utterly consumed with terrors. <\/strong> (Psalms 73:12,19)<\/p>\n

25 Because you disdained all my counsel, <\/strong>And would have none of my rebuke<\/strong>, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, <\/strong>27 When your terror comes like a storm, <\/strong>And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)<\/p>\n

5 Also they are afraid of<\/strong> height, And of terrors in the way<\/strong> (Ecclesiastes 12:5).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Expect more terror to hit the USA, Canada, UK, and Continental Europe.<\/p>\n

Joe Biden is basically correct that the time will come when Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his Islamic State will be defeated.\u00a0 And while that may bring a temporal reduction in terrorism (cf. Daniel 9:27), it will not lead to real peace nor the elimination of terrorism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
