Pakistan\u2019s top nuclear security advisor has rejected growing U.S. pressure and safety concerns about its production and deployment of battlefield nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not apologetic about the development of the TNWs [tactical nuclear weapons] and they are here to stay,\u201d said Khalid Ahmed Kidwai, an advisor to the so-called National Command Authority (NCA) and a longtime custodian of the country\u2019s nuclear arsenal.<\/p>\n

The institutions responsible for planning storage and operational deployments do make sure that \u201cit is so balanced on ground in time and space that it is ready to react at the point where it must react and at the same time it is not sucked into the battle too early and remains safe,” Kidwai told a seminar at Islamabad\u2019s Institute of Strategic Studies.<\/a><\/p>\n

Response to US<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was apparently responding to last week\u2019s testimony before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee by Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller, where she praised the \u201cexcellent\u201d steps Pakistan has undertaken to secure its nuclear arsenal, but said Washington is troubled by the development of battlefield nuclear weapons.\u00a0http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/content\/pakistan-rejects-us-calls-for-curbing-tactical-nuke-weapons\/3256025.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pakistan is concerned about India, which also has nuclear weapons. Pakistan also has an agreement with Saudi Arabia. And Saudi Arabia is interested in Pakistani nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia was not in favor of the deal with nuclear Iran and has long been interested in military\/nuclear steps. Notice something from a couple of older posts:<\/p>\n

Perhaps it should be added that I heard on the radio that some believe that the result of a deal with Iran will mean that Pakistan will be selling\/providing nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia and perhaps others in the Arab world. …<\/p>\n

I would disagree with ABC <\/em>that this is a \u2018win\u2019 for powers like the USA.<\/p>\n

The time may well come when Iran \u2018overplays its hand.\u2019 Since Iran is NOT the prophesied King of the South<\/a> (Daniel 11:40-43), it may well be neutralized (cf. (Jeremiah 49:34-39) before that leader fully rises up.<\/p>\n

Because leaders like Iran\u2019s past and current presidents credit a non-existent Imam Mahdi for various events and its Supreme Leader has claimed to actually speak to him, the regime in Iran must be considered unstable and capable of taking steps that would seem illogical to outsiders. The Saudis have been a bit displeased with the USA and its handling of Iran and Syria in 2013. The Saudis also seem to want leverage in dealing with the USA\u2013telling the Lebanese to buy weapons from France could be a subtle hint from the Saudis that it is not completely dependent on the USA or it may be that the Saudis believe that the French will be easier for Lebanon to deal with, etc.<\/p>\n

Something else to add to is the fact that the Saudis have apparently made some arrangements for acquiring nuclear weapons from Pakistan\u2013the Middle East is becoming more dangerous. (Thiel B. Saudi Arabia is taking military steps.<\/a> December 30, 2013)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Also, as I have written before, Pakistan may actually directly or indirectly temporarily support the final King of the South<\/a> to the point that it may even provide some nuclear support. It has long been rumored that Saudi Arabia has a deal to get nuclear weapons from Pakistan (see Pakistan\u2019s Nuclear Weapons, Saudi Arabia, and the King of the South<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Biblically, a military force of Arabs and others is inevitable. The force will be led by one called the King of the South in Bible prophecy:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

40 “At the time of the end, the king of the south shall attack him, but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through. 41 He shall come into the glorious land. And tens of thousands shall fall, but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the main part of the Ammonites. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall become ruler of the treasures of gold and of silver, and all the precious things of Egypt, and the Libyans and the Cushites shall follow in his train. (Daniel 11:40-44, ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The peoples listed above are mainly located in North Africa and the Middle East. They are in Muslim-dominated lands and include the Arabs and some of the Turks. Cushites, interestingly enough, may include some in Pakistan. As I have reported here for years, there is a belief that Saudi Arabia made a deal with Pakistan to provide Saudi Arabia nuclear weapons whenever it needs them. Since the Saudis have money and Pakistan has nuclear weapons, this has long seemed like an arrangement of mutual benefit.<\/p>\n

Iran is NOT listed as a major part of the King of the South (it is not directly listed in Daniel 11:40-43), and hence may be neutralized somehow prior to the final rise of the King of the South.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia recently announced an Islamic military confederation consisting of nations in the Middle East and North Africa, and without Iran (see \u2018Saudi Arabia Announces 34-Nation Islamic Alliance Against Terrorism\u2019 to Protect the \u2018Islamic Nation\u2019: Is the King of the South starting to form?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia has money. Pakistan needs money.\u00a0 Saudia Arabia wants nuclear weapons. Pakistan has nuclear weapons.\u00a0 It is likely that the Arabs will get some type of nuclear capability.\u00a0 And Pakistan just told the USA it plans to continue to develop more nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n
