COGwriter

As long-term readers are aware, I, Dr. Bob Thiel, AKA COGwriter have frequently been a radio guest. However, since many times the interviews are last minute, they are usually not announced here.

However, there are two radio interviews currently scheduled, and one is for today, so I thought I would announce them.

For the first, I am scheduled to be on AM Ocala Live with Larry Whitler. This would be on WOCA 1370 am and 96.3 fm out of Ocala, Florida. August 25, 2016 10:35 am EDT/7:35 am PDT. The host and I expect to discuss prophetic aspects of cell phone monitoring and Europe’s Galileo system related to my book Hillary Clinton, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States.

For the second, on August 31, 2016 I am scheduled to be on the Republic Broadcasting Network (RBN) at 2:00 pm Central Daylight Time (12:00 PDT) on the Nutri-Medical Report. The Republic Broadcasting Network has listeners in many nations around the world. The host and I will likely discuss some item current in the news at that time and discuss prophecies related to it.

I have been on radio at least 77 times since the official formation of the Continuing Church of God 3 1/2 years ago. Presuming today’s interviews go as planned, then it will be at least 79 times.

Doing secular radio interviews gives an opportunity to reach people who otherwise would not be as open to hearing the Church of God message (Matthew 24:14; 28:19-20).

Of course, being on radio is something that COG leaders have done since no later than the 1930s. Radio was used so much to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom and other biblical messages, that after he left CG7, the late Herbert W. Armstrong initially named his group the Radio Church of God.

Here is a photograph that my wife Joyce took in 1994 of a building in Eugene, Oregon that had been used decades before by the old Radio Church of God (I believe it was their headquarters’ building in the 1940s):

(To see other buildings later used by the old Radio and Worldwide Church of God, check out Joyce’s Pictures of the Pasadena Campus of Ambassador College and the former Headquarters of the old Worldwide Church of God.)

Radio is one of the forms of mass media that we in the Continuing Church of God use to teach people about Jesus’ Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 24:14) and other teachings (Matthew 28:19-20).
