{"id":38675,"date":"2016-09-23T06:30:16","date_gmt":"2016-09-23T14:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/news\/?p=38675"},"modified":"2016-09-23T13:21:44","modified_gmt":"2016-09-23T21:21:44","slug":"the-charlotte-riots-what-they-are-not-telling-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/news\/prophecy\/the-charlotte-riots-what-they-are-not-telling-you\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;The Charlotte Riots: What They Are Not Telling You&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/charlotte.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"249\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Charlotte, North Carolina<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/cogwriter.htm\">COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The mainstream media is being accused of selective\/biased reporting related to the looting, violence, and actual protests in Charlotte, North Carolina:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>The Charlotte Riots: What They Are Not Telling You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>September 23, 2016<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.infowars.com\/why-is-the-media-calling-rioters-in-charlotte-protesters\/\">Paul Joseph Watson <\/a>points out something troubling: thugs burned down a city because a black cop shot someone, yet meanwhile the mainstream media spun it, or at least tried, as as &#8220;peaceful protest.&#8221; There is just one problem: violent criminals looting, attacking bystanders, attacking journalists, setting fires, smashing up cars, smashing up businesses and shooting at each other is not the a &#8220;peaceful protest.&#8221;And with all of these activities having been documented in the clip below, it is worth pointing out that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stealing and looting cash registers from local businesses is not a legitimate form of protest<\/li>\n<li>A \u201cprotester\u201d shooting another \u201cprotester\u201d is not a legitimate form of protest.<\/li>\n<li>Physically attacking reporters is not a legitimate form of protest.<\/li>\n<li>Throwing rocks off bridges at passing vehicles full of families is not a legitimate form of protest<\/li>\n<li>Beating up innocent people in parking lots because they\u2019re white is not a legitimate form of protest.<\/li>\n<li>Smashing up apartment windows where black people live to \u201cprotest\u201d in favor of \u2018Black Lives Matter\u2019 is not a legitimate form of protest.<\/li>\n<li>Trashing your own neighborhood is not a legitimate form of protest.<\/li>\n<li>Looting the Charlotte Hornets team store so you can steal basketball merchandise is not a legitimate form of protest<\/li>\n<li>Attempting to hijack cars and terrify their innocent occupants is not a legitimate form of protest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What was unfolding in Charlotte &#8211; and may still be &#8211; is not a protest. It\u2019s a violent, unjustified riot by criminals and thugs. The question is why is the media giving it legitimacy by still referring to it as a protest?<\/p>\n<p>As Watson points out, if mobs of white supremacists were looting stores, setting fires, attacking journalists and shooting guns, would the media call it a protest?\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-09-22\/charlotte-riots-what-they-are-not-telling-you\">http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-09-22\/charlotte-riots-what-they-are-not-telling-you<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In a post made here yesterday, I included aspects of what happened that the &#8216;politically correct&#8217; media has seemed to intentionally overlooked (see <a title=\"State of Emergency declared in Charlotte\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/news\/prophecy\/state-of-emergency-declared-in-charlotte\/\">State of Emergency declared in Charlotte<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>As far as the mainstream media goes, notice a report today about last night&#8217;s protests:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>September 23, 2016<\/p>\n<p>CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA \u2014<\/p>\n<p>A third night of demonstrations in Charlotte, North Carolina over the controversial police shooting of an African American man were largely peaceful.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of demonstrators defied a midnight curfew, marching without incident in the early hours of Friday morning. Authorities said didn&#8217;t plan to enforce the curfew as long as the protests remained peaceful.<\/p>\n<p>Television video showed some protesters shaking hands with smiling National Guard personnel in the early morning darkness.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday night, large crowds of demonstrators marched through the heart of Charlotte &#8211; the state&#8217;s largest city. Tear gas was used against demonstrators at one location, but such incidents were rare.<\/p>\n<p>Police in riot gear were dispersed throughout the city.<\/p>\n<p><strong>State of emergency declared<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Governor Pat McCrory, a former mayor of Charlotte, had earlier declared a state of emergency, and he said police would arrest lawbreakers. &#8220;We cannot tolerate any type of violence &#8230; or destruction of property,&#8221; McCrory said.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/a\/charlotte-protests-keith-lamont-scott-justin-carr\/3522032.html\">http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/a\/charlotte-protests-keith-lamont-scott-justin-carr\/3522032.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Notice that because parts of Charlotte have basically become a police state, under a &#8216;state of emergency,&#8217; that the violence was limited and LESS tear gas was used than the night before. And the media slant was that it was hundreds of &#8216;peaceful protesters&#8217; who just happened to intentionally violate the curfew law that was in place.<\/p>\n<p>In my view, selective media coverage is related to three factors:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The media supports the race-baiting agenda of many political leaders (which, in my view, is part of what has led to the protests).<\/li>\n<li>The media is less interested in a balanced representation of truth, but instead believes it should play more of a political role.<\/li>\n<li>The media is afraid that if they do not come across as sufficiently sympathetic to the protesters, that they will become targets themselves (and I saw one &#8216;protester&#8217; assault a reporter on the news) and\/or that they will be accused of being racists themselves.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>LATER UPDATE: Certain government officials do not want certain videos released yet, but the wife of the slain Keith Scott released information on her own today:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>September 23, 2016<\/p>\n<p>Cellphone video taken by Keith Lamont Scott&#8217;s wife captured the broad-daylight encounter that ended the 43-year-old black man&#8217;s life and reveals a dispute between the woman and police officers over whether Scott was armed.<\/p>\n<p>The video, released on Friday to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/charlotte-shooting-video-footage-shows-fatal-encounter-between-police-keith-n653426\" target=\"_blank\">NBC News<\/a>\u00a0and the New York Times,\u00a0shows the tense moments that lead up to and after Tuesday afternoon&#8217;s fatal police shooting but does not show the shooting itself. Scott&#8217;s wife, Rakeyia Scott, can be heard pleading with cops not to shoot and insisting her disabled husband &#8220;has no weapon&#8221; while cops shout at the man to drop his gun.<\/p>\n<p>The disturbing video emerged as unrest in Charlotte carries on into a fourth night of protesting and pressure mounts from both local and national officials for police to release dashcam footage of the shooting. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/national\/keith-lamont-scott-wife-releases-video-fatal-police-shooting-article-1.2803431\">http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/national\/keith-lamont-scott-wife-releases-video-fatal-police-shooting-article-1.2803431<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While it is NOT totally clear yet IF Keith Scott had a gun, it is clear that police claimed he did and that they did not heed his wife&#8217;s pleas.<\/p>\n<p>We are in violent times and the release of the cell phone data will likely be a factor in some protesting in Charlotte over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Consider the following prophecy for the end times:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 But know this, that <strong>in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves<\/strong>, lovers of money, <strong>boasters, proud<\/strong>, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, <strong>unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God<\/strong>, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and <strong>never able to come to the knowledge of the truth<\/strong>. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking of prophecies, the Bible shows that God is against violence and that destruction will come because of it:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>23 \u2018Make a chain,<br \/>\nFor the land is filled with crimes of blood,<br \/>\nAnd <strong>the city is full of violence.<\/strong><br \/>\n24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,<br \/>\nAnd they will possess their houses;<br \/>\nI will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,<br \/>\nAnd their holy places shall be defiled. (Ezekiel 7:23-24)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Notice that the above says that there will be violence in the city. We have seen violence in the city of Charlotte this week. But also notice that later &#8220;the worst of the Gentiles&#8221; will come.<\/p>\n<p>Essentially, this is a prophecy related to the &#8216;beginning of sorrows&#8217; (Matthew 24:4-8) to be followed by the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21).<\/p>\n<p>It remains my view that we currently are in the beginning of sorrows that Jesus prophesied.
