The transfer of the geopolitical center of gravity to Eurasia is something the West will have to get used to.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I recently returned from a fascinating two week speaking tour in China. The occasion was the international premier of my newest book, One Belt, One Road\u2013China and the New Eurasian Century.<\/p>\n

In the course of my visit I was invited by China\u2019s Northwest University in Xi\u2019an to give a lecture and seminar on the present global political and economic situation in the context of China\u2019s New Economic Silk Road as the One Belt, One Road project is often called.<\/p>\n

What I\u2019ve seen in my many visits to China, and have studied about the entirety of this enormously impressive international infrastructure project convinces me that a Eurasian Century at this point is unstoppable….<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The term \u201cAmerican Century\u201d was triumphantly proclaimed in a famous editorial in Life magazine in 1941 in the early phase of World War II, before the United States had even entered the war, to describe the system publisher Henry Luce saw dominating the postwar world after the fall of the rival\u00a0British Empire<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The American Century has lasted a mere seven decades if we date from the end of the war. Its record has been one of dismal failure on balance. The industrial base of the United States, the predominant leading industrial nation and leading scientific innovator, today is a hollowed, rotted shell with once-booming cities like Detroit or Philadelphia or Los Angeles now burned-out ghettos of unemployed and homeless.<\/p>\n

The Federal Debt of the United States, owing to the endless wars its Presidents engage in, as well as the fruitless bailouts of Wall Street banks and Government Sponsored Enterprises like Fannie Mae, is well over 103% of GDP at an astonishing $19.5 trillion, or more than $163,000 per taxpaying American and Washington is adding to the debt this year at near $600 billion.<\/p>\n

The Eurasian Century is the name I give to the economic emergence of the countries contiguous from China across Central Asia, Russia, Belarus, Iran and potentially Turkey. …<\/strong><\/p>\n

The One Belt, One Road, by linking all the contiguous land areas of Eurasia to the related network of strategic new or enlarged deep-water ports of OBOR\u2019s Maritime Silk Road, has rendered US geopolitical strategy a devastating blow at a time the hegemony of America is failing as never in its short history.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Eurasian Century today is inevitable and unstoppable.<\/strong> Built on different principles of cooperation rather than domination, it just might offer a model for the bankrupt United States and the soon-bankrupt European Union, to build up true prosperity not based on looting and debt slavery.\u00a0http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2016-10-11\/eurasian-century-now-unstoppable<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

William Engdahl is correct that the USA is corrupt, highly in debt, and is in decline. He is also correct that the 21st century will not be the American century for too much longer. The debt of the USA will be a factor in its elimination (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n

Like almost all commentators, William Engdahl is walking by sight instead of by relying on the word of God for his Eurasian conclusion.<\/p>\n

Despite, the financial and other problems in Europe (which are consistent with biblical prophecies, like Daniel 2:41-43), Europe will rise up and dominate, even though some will think it could not:<\/p>\n

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”<\/p>\n

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:1-5)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

China’s planned ‘Silk Road’ and aspects of Russia’s\u00a0Eurasian Union<\/a> will likely assist in Europe’s rise. But the Bible teaches that, at least for 42 months, Europe will dominate the world economically (see also Revelation 18). It will be Europe, not Asia, that will be the geopolitical center of the planet for a few years in the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Europe will be able to do this because of deception (Daniel 8:22-25; 1 Thessalonians 5:3), military success (Revelation 13:1-4; Daniel 11:39), and ‘signs and lying wonders’ (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; Revelation 13:). Europe will likely be able to accomplish this also because of technological progress it is working on (see European Technology and the Beast of Revelation<\/a>).<\/p>\n

But what about Eurasia, including China?<\/p>\n

They will have ups and downs.<\/p>\n

But ultimately, they will turn against the dominating European power and destroy it.<\/p>\n

Here are a couple of prophecies that point to that:<\/p>\n

9 For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon
\nAn assembly of great nations from the north country<\/strong>,
\nAnd they shall array themselves against her;
\nFrom there she shall be captured.
\nTheir arrows shall be like those of an expert warrior;
\nNone shall return in vain. (Jeremiah 50:9)<\/p>\n

50:41 Behold, a people shall come from the north<\/strong>,
\nAnd a great nation and many kings
\nShall be raised up from the ends of the earth<\/strong>.
\n42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
\nThey are cruel and shall not show mercy.
\nTheir voice shall roar like the sea;
\nThey shall ride on horses,
\nSet in array, like a man for the battle,
\nAgainst you, O daughter of Babylon. (Jeremiah 50:41-42).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From a European perspective, Russia is a north country whose borders reach to the eastern ends of the earth. China is a nation whose borders also go towards the eastern ends of the earth.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of a time when there will be a confederation of the \u2018kings of the east\u2019 that will gather at Armageddon:<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.<\/p>\n

15 \u201cBehold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.\u201d<\/p>\n

16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This will include Eurasian nations–whether or not they are formally in a group like the EEU.<\/p>\n

In Daniel, we see that the final King of the North<\/a>, who is European<\/a> (see also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?<\/a>) as well as the end time ‘daughter of Babylon,’ is concerned about a confederation to its north and east:<\/p>\n

44 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. (Daniel 11:44-45)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is the Eurasian nations that are north and east of Europe. Daniel tells of a Eurasian confederation that will frighten Europe in the end.<\/p>\n

Notice also that Isaiah shows Babylon will have problems with a group from a far country:<\/p>\n

1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.
\n2 \u201cLift up a banner on the high mountain,Raise your voice to them; Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. 3 I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger\u2013Those who rejoice in My exaltation.\u201d 4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together!<\/strong> The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle. 5 They come from a far country<\/strong>, From the end of heaven\u2013The LORD and His weapons of indignation,To destroy the whole land. 6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand!It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man\u2019s heart will melt, 8 And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames (Isaiah 13:1-8).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The accounts in Jeremiah, Daniel, and Isaiah seem related to the same invaders. This is referring to an end time confederation that has a distance to travel\u2013apparently a type of union of powers from the east.<\/p>\n

While William Engdahl is correct that the USA is in decline, Europe has problems, and much is going on with the Eurasian nations, the Bible tells us that Europe will arise and dominate the world economically.<\/p>\n

But Europe, like the USA (Daniel 11:39), but years later, will be destroyed (Revelation 17:14). Eurasian powers, however, will have a role in that according to biblical prophecies found in Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel.<\/p>\n

Despite what it may appear, Christians are to “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).<\/p>\n

Although secular sources have opinions, often they overlook Bible prophecy.<\/p>\n

Devastating change will come to the USA.<\/p>\n

We in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> \u201chave also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts\u201d (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).\u201d<\/p>\n
