Is the 10th of Av a ‘mystery’ of the USA? Well, Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn seems to think so.\u00a0 Here is some of an interview related to that he had with Glenn Beck:<\/p>\n

GLENN: Tell me about \u2014 hang on just a second. The \u2014 the 10th of Av.<\/p>\n

JONATHAN: Oh, yes. Okay. This is \u2014 the existence of America is actually linked to a mystery of an ancient Hebrew holy day. And I\u2019ve never shared this in media. Here\u2019s the thing: There\u2019s a day on the Hebrew calendar when disaster comes for the Jewish people. It\u2019s the 9th of Av. When the temple was destroyed \u2014 Solomon \u2014 on the 9th of Av. Hundreds of years later, Jesus predicted it, temple of Herod destroyed by the Romans, same exact day, 9th of Av. The Jews are driven out of England, 9th of Av. Out of Spain, 9th of Av. Out of France \u2014 everything. Holocaust is even linked to the 9th of Av. So this is a day of destruction, disaster, mourning.<\/p>\n

GLENN: It\u2019s a big day in Israel.<\/p>\n

JONATHAN: Big day. Big day. And it keeps happening. And so \u2014 but here\u2019s the other thing about it, but the 10th of Av, God always brings a redemption. When they\u2019re out of one land, he\u2019s preparing another land. He keeps them alive. He keeps the Jewish people. So the 10th of Av is about redemption. It begins the redemption. Well, here\u2019s the thing, Glenn: This is a few hundred years ago. The Jewish people have to flee Spain. They\u2019re fleeing for their lives. They\u2019re told, \u201cIf you don\u2019t get out, we\u2019re going to kill you. If you don\u2019t convert, we\u2019re going to kill you.\u201d They\u2019re fleeing on their ships. Fleeing. And it\u2019s 9th of Av. Again, 9th of Av. Destruction. They\u2019re losing their greatest refuge.<\/p>\n

GLENN: May I guess the year? JONATHAN: You may guess? GLENN: 1492.<\/p>\n

JONATHAN: 1492. The ocean blue. Yes. And so here \u2014 so in the same \u2014 not just that. It\u2019s the same week. It\u2019s the same \u2014 in the same harbors of Spain, while they\u2019re losing their refuge, are the three ships the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. So as they\u2019re \u2014 the greatest tragedy, God is preparing a new refuge. It\u2019s going to be \u2014 it\u2019s the beginning of America. And they\u2019re going to set sail on the 10th of Av, which is the day of redemption. So, in other words, America \u2014 the very beginning of America is linked to this ancient mystery that God\u2019s going to \u2014 it\u2019s going to become the greatest refuge for the Jewish people in history, and not just the Jewish people, but it\u2019s going to be refuge for everybody. So the very existence of America is linked to this ancient Hebrew holy day.<\/p>\n

PAT: He\u2019s the Jewish David Barton.<\/p>\n

JEFFY: He definitely is.<\/p>\n

GLENN: I will tell you, I learned that from a rabbi I think in Israel. One of the big, big rabbis I think in Israel. And he talked about the link. Because we were doing Restoring Courage in Israel, during the week of Av. The \u2014 the 9th of Av. And so we were there. And he said, you don\u2019t understand \u2014 and he explained the 9th. And then he explained the 10th and said \u2014 PAT: That\u2019s great. GLENN: \u2014 here\u2019s the link to America. PAT: Is that in The Book of Mysteries?<\/p>\n

While the voyage by Christopher Columbus changed history, I do not consider that makes the 10th of Av (which normally occurs in July or August) some profound mystery.<\/p>\n

But Jonathan Cahn has been prone to exaggeration and prophetic error.<\/p>\n

He improperly helped promote the Blood Moon nonsense that happened a few years ago–whereas I denounced it.<\/p>\n

He wrote a book titled The Mystery of the Shemitah Unlocked<\/em> which claimed that the end would basically come in 2015–which I also denounced. He was proven wrong, I was proven right, yet he keeps putting forth opinions that are often in error.<\/p>\n

Notice something else that mentioned his Shemitah theory:<\/p>\n

2017 to 2024 Tribulation Theory<\/h2>\n

This is a theory<\/strong> regarding the Tribulation beginning in Fall 2017<\/strong> and ending in Fall 2024<\/strong>. …<\/p>\n

The Shemitah year may actually be 2016\/2017. Though Jonathan Cahn found an amazing pattern, he was looking at when economic crashes began, not when they reached their worst point. In the previous two cycles, the crashes reached their worst points in 2009 and 2002, respectively, not 2008 and 2001. According to what many think is a more accurate Shemitah and Jubilee cycle, the next Shemitah year is actually 2016\/2017 and the next Jubilee year is 2017\/2018.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is NO possible way that the Great Tribulation can begin in 2017 (watch Will the Great Tribulation Start in 2017?<\/a>), but some are apparently pointing to Jonathan Cahn as some type of valid prophetic authority: despite his repeatedly been proven wrong.<\/p>\n

Consider also what Jesus taught:<\/p>\n

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:4-6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Many think it is the end when it is not. Jonathan Cahn has deceived people and is still doing so.<\/p>\n

Some pushed Jonathan Cahn’s false idea that the so-called Shemitah year ran from September 25, 2014 through September 13, 2015 and that there would be global economic collapse to occur on September 13, 2015 (see Does end of Mark Biltz\u2019s Shemitah mean that the Tribulation starts tomorrow?<\/a>). That was wrong (see Jonathan Cahn defends \u2018The Mystery of the Shemitah,\u2019 whereas COGwriter denounces it<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Anyway, the 10th of Av is not a biblical mystery about America and Jonathan Cahn is not God’s prophet (How To Determine If Someone is a True Prophet of God) <\/a>as some have improperly claimed.<\/p>\n

There are, however, prophetic mysteries about the USA and Canada that most people who watch prophecy do not realize.<\/p>\n
