Donald Trump\u2019s victory in the United States presidential election gives us a clear indication as to where we are in Bible prophecy.\u00a0…<\/p>\n

It seems obvious that God is telling us we have now entered the time frame of Amos chapter 7. What does that time frame mean for America and for you? God has revealed to me more understanding from Amos 7.The book of Amos has some of the strongest prophecies in the Bible, with little emphasis on the positive message. But there is great hope in this prophetic book. …<\/p>\n

The Time of Jeroboam<\/h2>\n

\u201cThus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand\u201d (Amos 7:7). A plumbline is usually used in measuring a building or in construction. But God uses it differently here: This is about measuring the destruction<\/em> that is to come upon the nations of Israel. This destruction is not random; God is measuring it carefully and precisely. And it will bring about the most wonderful results imaginable.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more\u201d<\/em> (verse 8). This is God talking! He has warn ed these nations several times to try to wake them up, but they have ignored those warnings. So, He says, I\u2019ll warn one last time!<\/em><\/p>\n

We are entering the last time<\/em> God passes by the people of Israel before they are destroyed! This is a time of extreme urgency!<\/p>\n

And notice: This is in the context of an end-time Jeroboam<\/em>. Verse 9 continues: \u201cAnd the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.\u201d<\/p>\n

When God says, \u201cI will not again pass by them any more,\u201d He is talking about not passing by them in the time of Jeroboam.<\/em><\/p>\n

Who is Jeroboam? Who is this specific man<\/em> that the Bible talks about in the time frame of the last time<\/em> God passes by to show the end-time nations of Israel how to solve their problems and difficulties, and to warn them of the consequences of their failure to do so?<\/p>\n

This passage strongly indicates that God is going to rise with the sword in the time of Jeroboam. The Moffatt translation renders the end of verse 9 as, \u201cI will attack Jeroboam\u2019s house.\u201d …<\/em><\/p>\n

Here is a severe end-time prophecy, and God is talking about an individual. God names names!<\/em> We must understand these names and the roles these men play if we are to understand these end-time prophecies! It is essential<\/em> that we know who these individuals are. …<\/p>\n

God is revealing the identity of significant<\/em> individuals in Bible prophecy in this end time especially\u2014I believe like He\u2019s never done before. He wants us to understand this because it is leading directly into the Great Tribulation and then the coming of the Messiah! Though it is extremely distressing news in the short run, what it leads to is great news!<\/p>\n

An Accusation of Treason!<\/h2>\n

Amos\u2019s prophecy continues: \u201cThen Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words\u201d (Amos 7:10).<\/p>\n

Who is this \u201cpriest of Bethel\u201d? \u201cBethel\u201d means house of God.<\/em> \u201cAmaziah the priest of Bethel\u201d is prophetic language referring to a man who came from within the Church of God<\/em> in this end time. You can see from the prophecy in Revelation 3 beginning in verse 14 that the last era<\/em> of God\u2019s true Church before Christ\u2019s return\u2014the very time frame we are in right now\u2014is the Laodicean<\/em> era, a lukewarm church that has turned its back on God. Amaziah<\/em> is a very rebellious Laodicean minister.<\/p>\n

Here Amaziah is accusing Amos, God\u2019s true prophet, of treason! Amos is a type of the man in this end time who is proclaiming God\u2019s warning message to Israel today. So this is a prophecy of a real clash between a false minister and a true prophet of God.<\/p>\n

I believe Amaziah the priest is the same man as the leader of God\u2019s Church whom we battled with for copyrights to the truth and message of God (Amos 9:1, 11-12). …<\/p>\n

Look again at Amos 7:9, and you see more religious imagery. As our booklet on Amos, The Lion Has Roared,<\/em> explains, \u201cthe high places of Isaac\u201d refers to the Laodicean Church. \u201cThe sanctuaries of Israel\u201d are the religions of this world, like the evangelicals.<\/p>\n

Mr. Trump received over 80 percent of the evangelical vote and a large portion of the Catholic vote. He really is leading most of America\u2019s \u201creligious\u201d people. But where is he leading them?<\/p>\n

The Land Cannot Bear His Words<\/h2>\n

Amaziah\u2019s message to Jeroboam is, \u201cThe land is not able to bear all his words.\u201d What \u201cwords\u201d are so difficult to bear? Amaziah explains: \u201cFor thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land\u201d (Amos 7:11).<\/p>\n

In the short run, this is<\/em> bad news. …<\/p>\n

At the time of the end, Jeroboam is going to be laden with problems and difficulties, but his biggest problem is going to be the message of God coming out of this organization! …<\/p>\n

America\u2019s president says, \u201cI<\/em> will make America great again.\u201d Notice the big \u201cI\u201d: I will make America great again<\/em>\u2014not God\u2014like I made myself great.<\/em> That is going to be the ultimate disaster. Men vainly think they can do magnificent things. That is one of the most deceitful thoughts anyone can have! Yet that is what we are facing in this time of Jeroboam.<\/p>\n

America, the British peoples (including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa) and the Jewish nation are facing horrendous problems. Only God<\/em> can save these nations. …<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king\u2019s chapel, and it is the king\u2019s court\u201d (Amos 7:12-13). Amaziah is being directed by Jeroboam about what to say. He\u2019s saying, Tell them to get out of here! This is \u201cthe king\u2019s chapel,\u201d the president\u2019s domain\u2014this is our religious place. Get out of this land because we will have none of that message!<\/em><\/p>\n

This man becomes \u201cJeroboam\u201d because he is fighting against God and God\u2019s Work\u2014along with Amaziah the priest, who is a spiritual Antiochus. The modern-day Jeroboam commits the same sin that Jeroboam did anciently. …<\/p>\n

The modern-day Jeroboam is causing other religions to look to him\u2014not the true God. It is going the same way it did anciently, only in this end time there is a much greater abundance of truth. …<\/p>\n

Isaiah 22:20-22 is a related end-time prophecy. It begins, \u201cAnd it shall come to pass in that day\u201d<\/em>\u2014an expression that always means the end time, which is today. God says He will call a man and lay upon his shoulder \u201cthe key of the house of David.\u201d This is not only about the key of David, but specifically about the key of the house of David\u2014meaning the descendants of David, physically and spiritually.<\/p>\n

God says we must<\/em> have this message today, yet most people have rejected it and followed Jeroboam.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n

Amos \u201cwarned the people that the supreme moment of their success was but the prelude to their doom\u201d (Soncino<\/em> commentary). This is what we are looking at with Donald Trump assuming the American presidency. Some people believe there was good news in this election. The Republican side was ecstatic. Right after the election, Rush Limbaugh said, \u201cWe just got our country back!\u201d But they didn\u2019t! The \u201cgood news\u201d is a mirage. It is a false hope.<\/p>\n

This is actually a prelude to America\u2019s doom. A man is on the scene whose house God is going to take out by the sword!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

PCG<\/a> has, for a long time, focused (in my opinion) on many wrong things.<\/p>\n

Gerald Flurry, for example, is wrong that Vladimir Putin is the Prince of Rosh who is in the process of fulfilling Ezekiel 38 (see also PCG\u2019s Gerald Flurry continues to claim that Vladimir Putin is the prophesied \u2018Prince of Rosh\u201d<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Now, in his article about Jeroboam, Gerald Flurry got a few things right. Donald Trump does have a major problem with vanity, and without God, he cannot truly ‘make America great again.’ Gerald Flurry is correct that the USA needs to turn to God or face certain destruction.<\/p>\n

It is possible that someone may assassinate Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Now, if Gerald Flurry is trying to say that the Great Tribulation will occur in the first term of a Donald Trump presidency, he is totally wrong (see the short video: Will the Great Tribulation Start in 2017?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

He reminds me of Don Billingsley who first was certain that Hillary Clinton had to be elected and claimed God told him that, then he switched after the election (see CGFF\u2019s Don Billingsley glosses over his error regarding Hillary Clinton, then switches to why God allowed Donald Trump to win<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Gerald Flurry originally claimed that J. Tkach, Sr. was the ‘man of sin’ of 2 Thessalonians, then switched to J. Tkach, Jr. after the Sr. Tkach died–both of those position are wrong (see also Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Gerald Flurry is NOT a type of the prophet Amos as he indicates (Gerald Flurry was the one who had a major copyright lawsuit). Furthermore, he is now calling Joe Tkach, Jr. ‘Amaziah’ and a Laodicean leader. This is wrong. Joe Tkach, Jr. is not even part of the Church of God, and thus is NOT a Laodicean church leader<\/a>. Even Joe Tkach, Jr. would tell you he is NOT a Church of God leader (he considers himself, correctly, to be some type of Protestant–the true Church of God is NOT Protestant).<\/p>\n

Gerald Flurry’s comment that MOST Americans have rejected God is correct, yet his suggestion that MOST have followed Donald Trump is not true.<\/p>\n

Anyway, no, I do not believe that Donald Trump is ‘Jeroboam.’ Notice the following about Jeroboam from the Bible:<\/p>\n

26 And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom may return to the house of David: 27 If these people go up to offer sacrifices in the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, then the heart of this people will turn back to their lord, Rehoboam king of Judah, and they will kill me and go back to Rehoboam king of Judah.”<\/p>\n

28 Therefore the king asked advice, made two calves of gold, and said to the people, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up from the land of Egypt!” 29 And he set up one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. 30 Now this thing became a sin, for the people went to worship before the one as far as Dan. 31 He made shrines on the high places, and made priests from every class of people, who were not of the sons of Levi.<\/p>\n

32 Jeroboam ordained a feast on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, like the feast that was in Judah, and offered sacrifices on the altar. So he did at Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he had made. And at Bethel he installed the priests of the high places which he had made. 33 So he made offerings on the altar which he had made at Bethel on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, in the month which he had devised in his own heart. And he ordained a feast for the children of Israel, and offered sacrifices on the altar and burned incense.\u00a0 (1 Kings 12:26-33)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jeroboam told the children of Israel to turn away from the God of the Bible, worship idols, and change the time of the Feast of Tabernacles<\/a>. Donald Trump has basically told the religious people that he will get some of their religious rights restored, which is really not the same thing as the situation with Jeroboam. Gerald Flurry sees some parallels here that are not prophetically relevant.<\/p>\n

That being said, it is possible that\u00a0PCG<\/a> will upset Donald Trump. Yet, I in no way believe that will fulfill any\u00a0 biblical prophecies in Amos. Perhaps I should add that I do consider Donald Trump to be apocalyptic, but not Jeroboam (watch the video Donald: ‘Trump of God’ or Apocalyptic?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Also, as I have written here for years, I do believe that the faithful Philadelphia remnant<\/a>, which is NOT PCG<\/a>, will one day likely be accused of treason for telling that truth about what is happening in the USA and Europe and explaining what that means prophetically. This will lead to the ‘famine of the word’ that Amos 8:11-12 refers to (see also Preparing for the ‘Short Work’ and The Famine of the Word<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Gerald Flurry needs to understand that Donald Trump is not Jeroboam, Vladimir Putin is not the ‘prince of Rosh,’ he (Gerald Flurry) is not Amos, and Joe Tkach, Jr. is not a Laodicean church leader<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sadly, PCG<\/a> has even more errors than that (see also Teachings Unique to the Philadelphia Church of God<\/a>).<\/p>\n
