COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n A reader sent me the following from the BBC<\/em> a few hours ago:<\/p>\n There has always been a shared conceit at the heart of the special relationship between the United States and United Kingdom that global leadership is best expressed and exerted in English.<\/p>\n More boastful than the Brits, successive US presidents have trumpeted the notion of American exceptionalism.<\/p>\n Prime ministers, in a more understated manner, have also come to believe in British exceptionalism, the idea that Westminster is the mother parliament, and that the UK has a governing model and liberal values that set the global standard for others to follow, not least its former colonies.<\/p>\n In the post-war Anglo-American order those ideas came together. In many ways, it was the product of Anglo-American exceptionalist thinking: the “city upon a hill” meets “this sceptred isle”.<\/p>\n Nato, the IMF, the World Bank and the Five Eyes intelligence community all stemmed from the Atlantic Charter signed by Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Winston Churchill in August 1941.<\/p>\n The liberalised free trade system that flourished after the war is often called the Anglo-Saxon model. The post-world global architecture, diplomatic, mercantile and financial, was largely an English-speaking construct. …<\/p>\n Neither Britain nor America can boast strong and stable governments. Neither have the look of global exemplars.<\/p>\n In the six weeks since Theresa May called her snap election, the global tectonic plates have shifted fast, leaving Britain and America increasingly adrift.<\/p>\n Donald Trump, during his first international trip, refused to publicly endorse Article V of the Nato treaty and publicly scolded his allies over financial burden sharing.<\/p>\n He found himself isolated at the G7 summit in Sicily. Then, on his return to Washington, came the announcement that the United States would withdraw from the Paris agreement, a decision of massive planetary and geopolitical import.<\/p>\n Here, America First meant America alone, and Trump seemed to revel in his neo-isolationism – as he did when he withdrew from the Trans-Pacific Partnership early in his presidency.<\/p>\n For Britain, the diplomatic impact of Brexit has also become clearer in recent weeks. EU leaders have bluntly outlined how they will set the terms of the divorce settlement, in what looks more and more like a diktat than an amicable separation.<\/p>\n The 27 remaining members of the EU have also made it clear they intend to penalise the UK. …<\/p>\n The {UK} prime minister steered clear of delivering a stiff public rebuke to the President over his attack on Mayor Khan, presumably out of fear of angering Donald Trump and jeopardising a post-Brexit trade deal with the US.<\/p>\n Perhaps this also explained why she didn’t join with Germany, France and Italy in signing a joint declaration slamming Trump’s Paris decision.<\/p>\n But again that emphasises Britain’s weakness. The special relationship has always been an asymmetrical relationship but now it seems even more lop-sided. It speaks of the UK’s post-Brexit diplomacy of desperation. 06\/09\/17 http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-40227270<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n What is the replacement? The BBC<\/em> continued with:<\/p>\n Voids in global leadership are immediately filled, and we’ve seen that happen at warp speed over the past few weeks. Brexit has galvanised the European Union. The election of Emmanuel Macron has revitalised the Franco-German alliance, giving it a more youthful and dynamic look.<\/p>\n Post-Paris, a green alliance has emerged between Beijing and Brussels. More broadly, China sees the chance to extend its sphere of influence, positioning itself on environmental issues as the international pace-setter. Even before Mr Trump took the oath of office, this looked more likely to be the Asian Century rather than a repeat of the American Century.<\/p>\n Europe eyes an enhanced role for itself, too. “We Europeans must really take our fate into our own hands,” declared Angela Merkel during a speech in a Bavarian beer hall after the disastrous G7 summit.<\/p>\n In a pointed dig at America and Britain, she also warned that the days when Germany could completely rely on others are “over to a certain extent”.<\/p>\n More and more, the German chancellor looks like the leader of the free world, something that would have required a massive leap of imagination in the years immediately after World War II, when the English-speaking liberal global order was taking shape. …<\/p>\n A new world order seems to be emerging that is being articulated in other tongues. http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-40227270<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yes, the Europeans are moving towards unity. Yes, the Brexit, Donald Trump, and the Paris accords are factors.<\/p>\n Interestingly, the BBC mentioned about a new world order articulated in other tongues. The Bible prophesies the destruction of end-time Israelite descendants, including the Anglo-Americans, by some with a foreign language:<\/p>\n 45 “Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. 46 And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder, and on your descendants forever.<\/p>\n 47 “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. (Deuteronomy 28:45-50)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n A new world order is coming and it will not be led by the UK or USA.<\/p>\n It is not just a BBC<\/em> reporter who sees any of this. Notice some additional European and UK comments:<\/p>\n 5 June 2017<\/p>\n Merkel’s remarks, made in a beer tent during a weekend party rally, were taken by many commentators to signal a new approach: “Europe cannot rely on US and faces life without the UK” headlined<\/a> the Financial Times.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n Over a meal, Germany’s ambassador to the EU Reinhard Silberberg, talked ambitiously about the Bratislava<\/a> agenda on closer economic and monetary cooperation, adopted last September by the EU27 after the Brexit vote: “The EU is not perfect but it is the best instrument we have for addressing the new challenges we are facing.”<\/p>\n I thought of this as I read Martin Wolf in the FT<\/a> on the aircraft back to my campaign in West Worcestershire, home to some of our most sensitive defence activities: “The West may not be dead but, as a series of countries with shared interests, it is moribund\u2026 This still looks like the end of the US-led world order.”\u00a0http:\/\/www.politics.co.uk\/comment-analysis\/2017\/06\/05\/merkel-s-new-world-order<\/a><\/p>\n June 2, 2017<\/p>\n In a single Brussels meeting last week, Trump blasted European leaders for their handling of defense spending, called for terrorists to be \u201chumiliated\u201d and bragged behind closed doors that he had already done more to fight terrorism than President Barack Obama did in four years.The 3\u200a\u00bd days of meetings between Trump and the Europeans may stand as a turning point in an alliance that was born from the ashes of World War II, as Europe turns toward China and other economic partners it views as more stable. Many senior European officials were jolted by the talks, which started in the winding streets of Brussels and continued on to muggy Sicily. They said they had made a mistake by allowing themselves to be lulled by Trump\u2019s more conventional-sounding Cabinet members.<\/p>\n \u201cAnti-Americanism will bloom,\u201d said Tomas Valasek, a former Slovak ambassador to NATO who is now the head of the Carnegie Europe think tank. \u201cIt will be much harder to politically explain to the European publics that we would cooperate with the U.S. president, because Donald Trump has made himself so unpopular now.\u201d<\/p>\n Now, many European officials say, they are steeling themselves for years of conflict with Trump, and searching for other partners in areas such as climate change, where the United States has become a roadblock. In other arenas, such as defense, Europeans are far more dependent on the American security umbrella, though they are scrambling to achieve self-sufficiency now that they fear the validity of U.S. guarantees.<\/p>\n The European message has been unusually tough. \u2026<\/p>\n \u201cWe have just witnessed President Trump putting an end to European-American relations,\u201d said Fran\u00e7ois Heisbourg, a French defense expert who advised Macron during his campaign. https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/europe\/trumps-tangle-with-europe-leads-the-continent-to-find-partners-elsewhere\/2017\/06\/02\/429b1c0c-4599-11e7-8de1-cec59a9bf4b1_story.html?utm_term=.60d16461201e<\/a><\/p>\n 7 June 2017<\/p>\n \u2018Seize the moment\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n Last month, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said continental Europe could no longer rely on the US and Britain<\/a>. Instead, she urged EU nations to \u201ctake our fate in our hands.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said on Wednesday that the EU defense fund marks a new chapter in defense cooperation within the bloc.<\/p>\n \u201cFor too long we have relied too much on the military power of others,\u201d he said. \u201cWe must now seize the moment to take charge of our own security. We owe this to our fellow Europeans.\u201d\u00a0 http:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/eu-launches-new-defense-fund-amid-growing-security-concerns\/a-39144036<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Anti-Americanism is \u2018blooming\u2019 in Europe. Some claim that Donald Trump is ending positive relations between the USA and Europe (though the Snowden<\/a> leaks and issues from that to turn Europe more against the USA preceded Donald Trump). A desperation for more unity, more military, and less dependence upon the USA is now affecting more than just some in the leadership.<\/p>\n Of course, this is what some European leaders have been pushing towards for some time, but the arrival of Donald Trump has encouraged them to be more public about it as much of the European populace is anti-Trump, as well as displeased with the UK\u2019s Brexit vote.<\/p>\n On February 28, 2016, my son Brian and I put out a video where I warned that Donald Trump\u2019s rise would lead the Europeans to take steps to further unite (Could Donald Trump be Apocalyptic?<\/a>) and a link was posted on this page on that date in the article Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump front runners: Who does Vladimir Putin reportedly prefer and why?<\/a><\/p>\n This is happening. As far as the new world order goes, a couple of years ago, steps were openly taken for more of a foundation for a new world order, but with a slightly different name:<\/p>\n September 3, 2015<\/p>\n Did you know that the UN is planning to launch a \u201cnew universal agenda\u201d for humanity in September 2015? <\/strong> That phrase does not come from me \u2013 it is actually right in the very first paragraph<\/a> of the official document that every UN member nation will formally approve at a conference later this month. The entire planet is going to be committing to work toward 17 sustainable development goals and 169 specific sustainable development targets, and yet there has been almost a total media blackout about this here in the United States. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The UN document promises that this plan will \u201ctransform our world for the better by 2030<\/a>\u201c, and yet very few Americans have even heard of the 2030 Agenda at this point. <\/strong> Instead, most of us seem to be totally obsessed with the latest celebrity gossip or the latest nasty insults that our puppet politicians have been throwing around at one another. It absolutely amazes me that more people cannot understand that Agenda 2030 is a really, really big deal. When will people finally start waking up?<\/p>\n As I discussed in a previous article<\/a>, the 2030 Agenda is taking the principles and goals laid out in Agenda 21 to an entirely new level. Agenda 21 was primarily focused on the environment, but the 2030 Agenda addresses virtually all areas of human activity. It truly is a blueprint for global governance.<\/p>\n And later this month, nearly every nation on the entire planet is going to be signing up for this new agenda. <\/strong> The general population of the planet is going to be told that this agenda is \u201cvoluntary\u201d and that it is all about \u201cending poverty\u201d and \u201cfighting climate change\u201d, but that is not the full story. Unfortunately, there is so much positive spin around this plan that most people will not be able to see through it. Just check out an excerpt from a piece that was published on the official UN website<\/a> yesterday\u2026<\/p>\n The United Nations General Assembly today approved a resolution sending the draft \u20182030 Agenda for Sustainable Development\u2019 to Member States for adoption later this month, bringing the international community \u201cto the cusp of decisions that can help realize the\u2026 dream of a world of peace and dignity for all<\/strong>,\u201d according to Secretary-General<\/a> Ban Ki-moon.<\/p>\n \u201cToday is the start of a new era. We have travelled a long way together to reach this turning point,\u201d declared<\/a> Mr. Ban, recounting the path the international community has taken over the 15 years since the adoption of the landmark Millennium Development Goals (MDGs<\/a>) towards crafting a set of new, post-2015 sustainability goals that will aim to ensure the long-term well-being of our planet and its people.<\/p>\n With world leaders expected to adopt the text at a 25-27 September summit in New York, the UN chief said Agenda 2030<\/a> aims high, seeking to put people at the centre of development; foster human well-being, prosperity, peace and justice on a healthy planet and pursue respect for the human rights of all people and gender equality.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Who doesn\u2019t \u201cdream of a world of peace and dignity for all\u201d?<\/p>\n They make it all sound so wonderful and non-threatening.<\/p>\n They make it sound like we are about to enter a global utopia in which poverty and inequality will finally be eradicated. This is from the preamble of the official 2030 Agenda document<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n This Agenda is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom. We recognise that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. All countries and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan.<\/p>\n We are resolved to free the human race from the tyranny of poverty and want and to heal and secure our planet. We are determined to take the bold and transformative steps which are urgently needed to shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path.<\/p>\n As we embark on this collective journey, we pledge that no one will be left behind. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets which we are announcing today demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n If it is a \u201cuniversal agenda\u201d, then where does that leave those that do not want to be part of it?<\/p>\n How will they assure that \u201cno one will be left behind\u201d if there are some nations or groups that are not willing to go along with their plan? http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2015-09-03\/2030-agenda-month-un-launches-blueprint-new-world-order-help-pope<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The new universal agenda is a false gospel and is discussed in our free online booklet: The Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a>. They are calling their ‘new world order’ the “new universal agenda.” But this is the agenda of mystery Babylon (see also Do You Know That Babylon is Forming?<\/a>). Pope Francis demonstrated part of that when he announced his encyclical, Laudato Si<\/a>, a few months before the UN agenda was adopted–we also made a video about that: Laudato Si: Pope’s Agenda or Kingdom of God?<\/a> When you consider that ‘new universal agenda’ could also be called the ‘new CATHOLIC agenda’ this may increase the potential enormity of its impact to those who pay attention to biblical prophecy.<\/p>\n Why?<\/p>\n The word ‘catholic’ means ‘universal.’<\/p>\n Anyway,\u00a0\u00a0Laudato Si<\/a>, was followed by the new universal agenda, which was followed by the Paris accords.<\/p>\n But, on June 1, 2017, with the withdraw of the USA from the Paris accords by its President Trump (see Donald Trump announces withdraw from Paris accords: A slap in the face to Pope Francis and the Europeans?<\/a>), the USA signaled to the world that it did not want to be part of the new world order.\u00a0 And it will not be.<\/p>\n Now, not all see this as bad. An opinion piece in The Australian<\/em> sees the US moves as an affirmation of freedom:<\/p>\n June 5, 2017<\/p>\n In late April, the European Union declared its alliance with China. EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini identified China as a key ally in \u201cguarantee[ing] the world order\u201d. Never before has the European world order shared a common destiny with the values enshrined in communist statehood. Mogherini laid out the agreements underpinning the shared EU-China world order: the Paris climate accord and UN\u2019s Sustainable Development goals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The US withdrawal from the Paris Agreement is an affirmation of freedom and the values that \u00addistinguish the West from the rest. The socialist-green EU bloc has surrendered Europe to a different destiny. …<\/p>\n Socialist and communist leaders vented fury at the US President for upholding his promise to the American people. On the day the US announced its exit from the Paris Agreement, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang stood with EU leaders to declare a global consensus on climate change and an international responsibility to address it. Such trivial matters as a president honouring the sovereign will of his citizens apparently pale in comparison to the lofty political goals contained in global agreements on sustainable development and \u00adenvironmentalism.<\/p>\n One such goal \u2014 \u201cglobal sovereignty\u201d \u2014 was \u00adannounced in the G77 (plus China) declaration, \u201cFor a new world order for living well\u201d, which typifies the ideology underlying agreements on climate change. In it, the G77 delivered the United Nations a 242-point vision of the new world order. …<\/p>\n The assertion of US sovereignty is invaluable to the West at a time when the EU is tilting to totalitarian states under communist and Islamist rule. It is notable the European politicians leading the charge against Trump are key porous border backers. \u00adMogherini not only celebrates the EU-China world order but has \u00addeclared \u201cpolitical Islam\u201d part of Europe\u2019s future. The sooner Australia joins the US in defending the West from the rest, the safer our future as a free world nation will be. http:\/\/www.theaustralian.com.au\/opinion\/columnists\/jennifer-oriel\/opting-out-of-a-new-world-order-helmed-by-an-euchina-alliance\/news-story\/4866a68635da9602e7339e1ac61bf67d<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The USA may have chosen a way towards national freedom, but that does not mean it will end well. The USA has not attempted national repentance and without it, it and the UK and their Anglo-Saxon descended nations are doomed to fall to a European led new world order.<\/p>\n 3 I taught Ephraim to walk\u20265\u2026But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent. 6 And the sword shall slash in his cities, Devour his districts, And consume them, Because of their own counsels. 7 My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Though they call to the Most High, None at all exalt Him. (Hosea 11:3a, 5b-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Ephraim is a reference to the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Assyria is a reference to a German-dominated European power (see Germany’s Assyrian Roots Throughout History<\/a>). Notice what that power is prophesied to do:<\/p>\n 5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger 12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.” (Isaiah 10:5-12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The reference to the mixed people of Samaria is a reference to the USA (see\u00a0Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a> and Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New<\/a>). The King of Assyria is called the\u00a0King of the North<\/a> in Daniel 11, and is specifically prophesied to destroy a power in the 21st century that fits the description of the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also ).<\/p>\n According to the Bible, it will take a combination of a military leader in Europe (called the King of the North<\/a>, also called the Beast of Revelation 13:1-10<\/a>) along with a religious leader (called the false prophet, also called THE Antichrist<\/a> and the two-horned Beast of Revelation 13:11-17) from the city of seven hills (Revelation 17:9,18) to bring in a Babylonian (Revelation 17 & 18) ‘new catholic order.’<\/p>\n We in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> intend to point out while this is going on how this will end, why it will not bring peace, and why the world needs the millennial<\/a> Kingdom of God<\/a>. Those who will be promoting the false gospel of a new world order will instead claim that the millennial message of Revelation 20 is not to be understood literally, but instead is a false gospel associated with Antichrist! Yes, the world will get it backwards (see also Do Certain Catholic Prophecies About Antichrist Warn Against Jesus?<\/a>).<\/p>\n While we are getting closer to the end, the end is not yet, as these are related to the beginning of sorrows (cf. Matthew 24:7-8). A new world order that is not dominated by the USA, UK, and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies is forming–but it, too, will not last.<\/p>\n The real solution to what is happening is the Kingdom of God<\/a>. Yet many world leaders, including Pope Francis, believe that it will be international cooperation that will bring peace and prosperity, and not the Kingdom of God. And while they will have some temporal successes, they will not only not succeed, their human efforts will ultimately bring planet Earth to the point that it would make life unsustainable if Jesus did not return to establish His Kingdom (Matthew 24:21-23; see also\u00a0The Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a>).<\/p>\n But few world leaders are interested in that message.
