A “transition period” after the UK leaves the EU should not continue beyond 31 December 2020, Brussels says.<\/p>\n

The UK has said the temporary arrangement should last for about two years after Brexit in March 2019.<\/p>\n

Terms of the transition period, which the UK calls an implementation phase, have yet to be negotiated between the two sides.<\/p>\n

The EU says the UK will have to continue to follow its rules and cannot adopt an “a la carte” approach.<\/p>\n

It has just published its guidelines<\/a> for the next phase of Brexit negotiations. http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-politics-42426542<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The EU has long wanted the entire world to adopt its rules. So, telling the UK that it will need to adopt them should not come as a surprise–though this is certainly not what the UK wants.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of Europe becoming the world’s dominant trading force (cf. Revelation 17 & 18)–hence this is consistent with what the EU is pushing for.<\/p>\n

Another issue is Gibraltar as the same BBC<\/em> article also reports:<\/p>\n

The overseas territory of Gibraltar – whose sovereignty is disputed by Spain – has been raised as a potential sticking point in Brexit negotiations.<\/p>\n

The EU has said that Spain must agree to any arrangement between the UK and the EU applying to Gibraltar, a stance reiterated in the latest negotiating guidelines.<\/p>\n

Asked whether he expected Spain to agree to the transitional arrangement covering Gibraltar, Mr Barnier said decisions on the issue would be “made for the 27, unanimously, by consensus”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Perhaps this is a good time to look at some statements put out by the writers once part of the old Radio Church of God, old Worldwide Church of God, and\/or the current Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> related to Europe and the United Kingdom in the 20th and 21st centuries:<\/p>\n

Bible prophecy clearly shows that Britain will not <\/em>be one of the \u2026 NATIONS comprising the final <\/em>United States of Europe (McNair R. A Strong United Europe. Tomorrow\u2019s World, February 1970, p. 17).<\/p>\n

Perhaps it should be mentioned that the general position within the Churches of God is that Britain will not remain in the EU and will pull out at some point.<\/em> (Thiel B. It should be understood that ultimately, Britain will NOT thrive as part of the EU but will be taken over by the final European Beast power\u2013yet its former Prime Minister is promoting something that will not help the peoples of the UK. Ephraim (modern Great Britain) will not be part of the \u201cBeast\u201d power, so we can expect some significant change that will push the British out of the EU. (Davis. D. Ireland says \u201cNo!\u201d to EU power grab. Commentary, July, 1 2008)<\/p>\n

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will not be an equal part of the European Union. Britain will either pull out or be forced out or at least truly lose its sovereignty. Many of the Anglo-peoples of the UK, USA, etc. that are not killed will to be scattered and many will be made slaves (Will the Anglo-Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?<\/a>). That is what the Bible shows will happen during the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n

As far as this \u201cBeast King\u201d goes, he could possibly be the next EU president, but a restructure ultimately will be needed in Europe for the King of the North to have the type of power that the Bible indicate he will have (Revelation 17:12-13). The EU is not ready for that yet.<\/p>\n

However, Tony Blair\u2019s statements today are pointing to one more step towards certain biblical prophesies being fulfilled as he is realizing that the UK wants to pull out of the UK\u2013and that is something will happen (directly or indirectly).<\/p>\n

The final King of the North (Daniel 11:27-40) will take over the UK, USA, and their Anglo-allies according to Bible prophecy (cf. Daniel 11:39). While more people in the UK are starting to realize that the EU poses dangers to it, most have no idea how dangerous the rising Beast power in Europe will become (cf. Revelation 13:1-4; Daniel 11:39). Britain will ultimately NOT thrive as part of the EU but will be taken over by the final European Beast power. (Thiel B. Despite British hopes for its future, loss of territories will one day include Northern Ireland and Gibraltar. Notice a couple of prophetic warnings that are consistent with that:<\/p>\n

24 \u2018Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. (Leviticus 18:24-29)<\/p>\n

23 \u2018And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. (Leviticus 26:23-25)<\/p>\n

58 \u201cIf you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book<\/strong>, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues \u2014 great and prolonged plagues \u2014 and serious and prolonged sicknesses. 60 Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God. 63 And it shall be, that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess<\/strong>. These territorial losses will include Northern Ireland and Gibraltar, as well as England, Wales, and Scotland. Yes, one day, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be no more.<\/p>\n

For many years, the major sea gates of the world were possessed\/controlled by the United States (Panama Canal and certain locations in the Pacific ocean) and the British Empire (Straits of Malacca, Singapore, Suez Canal, Bab el Mandeb, Strait of Hormuz, Simon\u2019s Town\/Cape of Good Hope, etc.). And while that is no longer the case for many of them, they seem to have been prophesied to be taken away for disobedience as well (cf. Deuteronomy 28)\u2014and certainly these nations have disobeyed the God of Abraham, as well as actually lost many of those gates. Thus, it seems logical to conclude that the remaining \u201csea gates\u201d that the UK has such as Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands will be separated from UK control. Spain directly, or perhaps, through the EU (or some other European confederation) indirectly, will force out British control over Gibraltar.<\/p>\n

And I expect that the Republic of Ireland (or at least an Irish leader) will have control over Northern Ireland and probably other lands as well. (Thiel B. Brexit, EU, Gibraltar, and Ireland<\/a>. COGwriter, November 10, 2017)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Back in the early 1990s, when I was vice president of an irrigation equipment manufacturer, I told our British sales representative, who was then visiting the factory in California, that one day the UK would separate from Europe. He flat out told me that could not possibly happen. And he gave reasons, but they were not biblical ones\u2013I told him he was in error. The Brexit situation shows that he, who was not part of the Church of God, was in error.<\/p>\n

While Gibraltar is expected to remain part of the UK past the EU’s December 31, 2020 date, eventually Europe will gain control of it.<\/p>\n

Most people do NOT realize what will happen in Europe.<\/p>\n

Europe is not going to \u2018get over\u2019 the Brexit and will one day take actions that most of those in the UK (as well as USA and Canada) will not consider possible (cf. Daniel 8:24-25, 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Understand that the current Anglo-American dominated world order will NOT continue (watch End of the Anglo-American Order<\/a> and\/or The New World Order Is Leaving the US Behind<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Brexit is one sign that shows this.<\/p>\n
