China proposes ‘Polar Silk Road’ across Arctic to streamline trade<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

China on Friday published its first official policy paper outlining its strategy for the Arctic region, saying it plans to develop trade routes in the region, saying it will expand\u00a0its ambitious “Belt and Road” initiative<\/a> to include a “Polar Silk Road.”<\/p>\n

The depletion of ice in the Arctic circle, largely believed by scientists to be a consequence of climate change<\/a>, has prompted a race to develop the region, with members of the Arctic Council staking competing claims for large portions of the area.<\/p>\n

However, China is a non-arctic circle state. Instead, it enjoys observer status in the Arctic Council, whose core members include Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Russia and the US.<\/p>\n

According to a report published in the state-run China Daily newspaper, shipping across the Northern Sea Route would save roughly 20 days from Shanghai to Rotterdam compared to the traditional route, which passes through the Suez Canal. http:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/china-proposes-polar-silk-road-across-arctic-to-streamline-trade\/a-4231374<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rotterdam is a major port city in the Netherlands. So, this plan is to cut time to reach Europe.<\/p>\n

The Chinese continue to look at various ways to better dominate world trade and international influence. This also includes financial influence (watch, for example, US Dollar being challenged by Gold-Petro-Yuan<\/a>.).<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of the final time of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24; see also The Times of the Gentiles<\/a>). Part of the objective of the European Union<\/a> and China’s One Belt, One Road<\/em> initiative is to establish a new world order–an order no longer dominated by the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies, like the UK. And as far as Australia and New Zealand go, they will be ‘swallowed up’ in a sense by one or more Gentile powers–this will happen during the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21; Daniel 8:24-25), which is when the USA will be conquered (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a><\/span>). It is likely that China will end up with all or part of Australia (watch also the video Are Chinese threats against Australia for real?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

As far as the European Union<\/a> goes, it is upset that the UK is leaving it, is upset with US President Trump, has been threatening actions against the USA for intended sanctions against Russia (see Brussels to act \u2018within days\u2019 if US sanctions hurt EU trade with Russia \u2013 internal memo<\/a>), and would like to cooperate more with the Chinese as well as the Russian-dominated Eurasian Economic Union<\/a>. So, a coordination of Gentile powers against the Anglo-Americans is occurring.<\/p>\n

Notice also the following prophecies from the Old and New Testaments:<\/p>\n

23 ‘Make a chain,
\nFor the land is filled with crimes of blood,
\nAnd the city is full of violence.
\n24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,
\nAnd they will possess their houses<\/strong>;
\nI will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
\nAnd their holy places shall be defiled.
\n25 Destruction comes;
\nThey will seek peace, but there shall be none. (Ezekiel 7:23-25)<\/p>\n

23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:23-24)<\/p>\n

2 But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. (Revelation 11:2)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that Ezekiel, Jesus (whose words are recorded in Luke), and John (who penned Revelation) were talking about the same time.<\/p>\n

The time of Gentile domination is prophesied (Ezekiel 7:24, 30:1-3, 34:25-30; Jeremiah 10:25; Luke 21:23-24; Revelation 11:2)–though it is not quite here yet. It will be here for the 3 1\/2 years of the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2018, 2019, or 2020?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

When will it end?<\/p>\n

The old Worldwide Church of God taught:<\/p>\n

With the second coming of Christ, the “times of the Gentiles” will at last come to an end. (Stump K. The Arab World in Prophecy. Plain Truth, December 1979, p. 38)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Great Tribulation itself is further described in Revelation 6:9-11 (the fifth seal, that seems to occur because the faithful church has suffered martyrdom, cf. Daniel 11:31-35; Matthew 24:9-10), Lamentations, Daniel, and other parts of the Bible. It starts with Matthew 24:21 and Daniel 11:39. Some would call this World War III (WWIII; see also World War III: Steps in Progress<\/a> and\/or watch Is World War III About to Begin? Can You Escape?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

As regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God news page are aware, I have speculated that China may be paving the roads to Armageddon (watch also Is China paving roads to Armageddon?<\/a> ). Although the proposed polar road does not really do that, it would tend to increase trade with Europe and may have military ramifications as well.<\/p>\n

As far as Armageddon goes, the term Armaggedon is only used once in the Bible. It is the sixth of seven bowls of God’s wrath:<\/p>\n

1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.” (Revelation 16:1)<\/p>\n

12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east<\/strong> might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.<\/p>\n

15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”<\/p>\n

16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For them to gather, they must cross over land to get to Armageddon. The Silk Road project will make that easier.<\/p>\n

The kings of the east reference refers to Asian nations, including Russia, whose border extends to the farthest parts of the east–and China which is commonly believed to be part of the ‘far east’ end of the Earth:<\/p>\n

50:41 “Behold, a people shall come from the north<\/strong>,
\nAnd a great nation and many kings
\nShall be raised up from the ends of the earth<\/strong>.
\n42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
\nThey are cruel and shall not show mercy.
\nTheir voice shall roar like the sea;
\nThey shall ride on horses,
\nSet in array, like a man for the battle,
\nAgainst you, O daughter of Babylon.<\/p>\n

43 “The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
\nAnd his hands grow feeble;
\nAnguish has taken hold of him,
\nPangs as of a woman in childbirth…”(Jeremiah 50:41-43).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Russia is in the north and is in the northern and eastern ends of the earth. Looking at the maps at the beginning of this post, you will see other nations that border Russia, like China. China is a far country from Europe.<\/p>\n

Notice also that the Bible shows Babylon tied together with birth pains\/pangs to a group from a far country:<\/p>\n

\n

1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.<\/p>\n

2 “Lift up a banner on the high mountain, Raise your voice to them; Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. 3 I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger–Those who rejoice in My exaltation.” 4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together!<\/strong> The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle. 5 They come from a far country<\/strong>, From the end of heaven–The LORD and His weapons of indignation, To destroy the whole land. 6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, 8 And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames (Isaiah 13:1-8).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Thus, both the accounts in Jeremiah and Isaiah seem related to the same invaders. This is referring to an end time confederation that has a distance to travel–apparently a type of union of powers from the east.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, a “far country” also seems to be tied to the powers of the east elsewhere in Isaiah:<\/p>\n

\n

11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. (Isaiah 46:11)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We are seeing steps for such a confederation beginning to come to pass.<\/p>\n

For the final time of the Gentiles to arise, the Gentiles will need to cooperate together against the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies. The BRICS, EAEU, SCO, and Silk Road arrangements are all intended to do that–as is the European Union–and the nations involved with them are all taking steps which align with properly understood biblical prophecies. A block of nations from North Africa and the Middle East will also be involved (cf. Daniel 11:27, 40-43)–this is something that US President Donald Trump and others have encouraged (see How Will Middle East Peace be Brought About?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Yet, most in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand do not understand what is now happening on the world scene and how they will be affected.<\/p>\n

In the American television news, how often have you seen the Silk Road project or the EAEU mentioned?<\/p>\n

Perhaps not at all.<\/p>\n

The focus of the media is obscuring what is really happening in the world.<\/p>\n

We are getting closer to Armageddon and steps continue to be taken that are leading to it.<\/p>\n
